This is the best printer I've ever own. No paper jams and the printed documents are great. If you in the market looking for a new printer, please pick up this one. Brother I'm a fan.

Brought this printer to replace an Epson printer that only lasted two years before it stopped working! Easy to set up and does an excellent job. Would recommend to anyone needing a good wireless printer.

This is the great printer for the price. It was so easy to set up. No problems printing from my laptop, phone or tablet. The print is very sharp and I have had no problem with the paper feed.

I love this printer/copier/fax machine. It works with my phone. I have a samsung galaxy phone and I print my documents from my phone. They go right to the printer. Also easy setup

I bought this unit to replace an old all in one that had stopped functioning. It was on sale for $49.00 at Best Buy. It does everything that the previous one I owned did. I like the paper tray that slides totally into the unit ( even though it only holds 100 sheets or so). It does 2 sided printing. I also like the fact that you can still print, if one of the ink colors runs out ( my previous machine would not allow that). Scan quality is good. For what I paid, I have no complaints about this machine at all. As far as durability, we shall see..

Prints clearly and scans decently as well. Would recommend it as aftermarket ink is very cheap and the printer is reliable.

Cheapest wireless printer I could find! I’m a student and this printer is great for homework assignments. I especially like that I can print from my phone!

I have another printer from Brother and I love it! They make a good printer that is simple to setup, easy to use, and dependable at a good price. You can't go wrong with a Brother printer.

Easily set-up. Does what it was designed to do at a minimal cost compared to other all'n'ones. Easy to operate and produces quality printing at a reasonable cost.

I'm really happy with this printer. I can print easily from both my PC and cell phone and the quality of printing is excellent. It also has a small footprint and is intuitive to use. A good buy!

AFTER MESSING AROUND WITH A HP PRINTER FOR AGES, I HAD FINALLY HAD ENOUGH. BOUGHT THIS BROTHER MFC-J497DW, EASY AS PIE TO USE, EASY TO SET UP, EASY TO BUY THE CARTRIDGES AT HALF THE PRICE OF THE HP ONES!

Switch from another brand and haven’t looked back. This printer handles anything I throw at it. Maybe 2 paper jams after more than 2000 sheets printed. Good stuff.

Got this printer on sale, and checked the price of replacement ink, and it was relatively low. So when I se it up it was the fastest most Seamless wireless printer setup I’ve ever done!

This is the second one I purchased. I love it. It does make copies, prints, and scans. It supposed to be able to fax, but I never tried that. Installation could be challenging, but wired connection makes it a lot easier. It is good to buy Geek Squad extended warranty. like any printers any small thing can go wrong. On my last one the printer head got clogged and could not print properly. With extended warranty I replaced it with this one. I have been using Brother for over a decade and always have been happy.

Easy set up, although a little cumbersome getting the wireless to work w an older MacBook, otw, can't beat the features for the price, and print quality is excellent!

I didn't think this cheap printer was going to last but so far it's outlasted my expectations. Easy to setup and works fast when I need it.

Ink jet printers for home use were in short supply at all retail locations in my area. At Best Buy it was suggested I try their website. I ask that they try to find the Brother printer I chose at their store. In 24 hours they emailed that they found one. I ordered it (at a very good price) and it was delivered in three days. The Wi-Fi set up was easy, although took about 30 minutes. The print quality is great and it is fast. I have only printed out about 20 pages so far, but I am so glad I selected the Brother MFC-J497DW. It is everything, and more, that I need for home printing, copying and scanning.

Great unit and does all the functions. Can't beat the price and the quality of the printing. The unit is compact and another great feature is that the ink cartridges are reasonably priced.

Normally I buy another brand. What drawn me to this brand was the cost, plus a few more features than my previous brand. One of the other reason why I bought this was the cost of the ink. Before I would just buy a printer and would not factor in the replacement cost of ink cartridges. I’ve to yet print out a picture on regular paper or photo paper. This printer was easy to set up, especially the wifi connection. As I looked for the usb connection, I it inside and it routed the cord so it was out of the way, a great idea.
