The only reason I give this printer less than highest marks is speed. No maintenance and longevity is awesome (i have one of the earlier 400 series models that has been running fine for 8 years). At 12ppm if you don't need office quality speed, this is the unit for you. Print and copies are exceptional quality. Least expensive to operate of all the printers on the market.

I haven't printed photos, but I find the print quality to be quite good. Setup was straightforward (requires USB connection to set up WiFi). One downside is there's no separate input for single sheets, envelopes or labels.

I am still learning the full capability of this machine! So far I have copied, printed and scanned on it - it also will Fax; but, I doubt that I will use that option. I love the ability to print on 2 sides and the wireless feature! Good quality printing and speed!

Very easy to setup. Operation of the printer is basic — all commands are done on the printer rather than via tablet or phone. The price is extremely competitive, and the copier has a very positive rating from CR.

I am pleasantly surprised how much I like this printer. It could use some improvements but for the price, I’m pleased. It was tricky to enter email addresses to scan to, I’m used to being able to do it from the software online. I’m pleased with the ease of use in the toner. I had another printer (HP) and it used to suck the toner dry. I do wish I could set the print to different modes like draft and good. I like to print non important things in draft to save on toner. Again, for the price though, it’s hard to beat. I’m sure the more expensive units would have those features. I like the double sided printing too. Overall, I’m happy with this Brother printer, never owned a Brother before. I read comments and they rated it highly.

Great value for price. Does all it needs to do. Screen on printer is too small. Using app on phone is more practical. Print quality is hood but if you exceptional detail will need higher model.

Great price. Great Quality. Cartridges available in high yield and inexpensive. Great color quality. Did not print stored photos well. I only print documents so it is perfect for color graphics and black/white printing.

I had a Brother MultiFunction Printer before. I loved it but it didn’t work with Windows 10. Picked up this new printer for less than $100. I can print from my iPhone as well as our laptops. Super easy to use. Big upgrade from the early printer.

I love this printer/scanner. It is Mac compatible. Printing from my phone is seamless. The quality is excellent for photos/ pdf / text documents. Very happy. Solid simple device

Well built printer. Easy to set up and start printing and scanning. Love the fact you can email to an address right from the printer or scan to a folder on a computer on your network. Just what I needed.

My HP printer I bought from BB had better print quality, but broke down after just a few months of use. This is a much more reliable printer and so I'm happy with my purchase.

Very pleased with this printer. Easy setup. Easy to use. Wi-Fi connection worked easily and flawlessly. Print quality is excellent for my purposes: printing invoices, documents, spreadsheets, etc. Scan function, which I use a lot, works very well.

I am very happy with my Brother Printer. It is a great value. It does an excellent job of printing, and the print cartridges last a reasonable time, and are easy to replace.

I purchased this Brother printer and it has turned out to be the perfect fit for my needs. It prints super fast and clear. I would definitely recommend this printer if you are looking for a small efficient printer, with fax capabilities.

I've been a fan of Brother laser printers for a long time. This seems to be the most value-conscious printer manufacturer. This is my first time with a Brother inkjet. I swore off inkjets more than 20 years ago when my HPs and Epsons broke my heart with constant clogs and refill costs. This printer, though, is really easy to live with. Printing quality is decent, the ink usage rate seems very reasonable compared to the replacement costs. Time will tell if the inkhead life is long enough. The scan/copy features are easy and effective. Brother's software and mobile integration has really come a long way too. I'm a fan!

Great product if you want a cheap realiable printer.. has worked perfectly fine. The only issue is the noise which could be louder than some printers. The ink is cheaper than other brands

I am very pleased with my purchase. Very easy to set up the printer, I haven’t used the fax yet so I cannot comment on that. I highly recommend this printer for ease of set up and quality of print.

Great little printer. Fast, quiet with no issues. 4 different ink cartridges which you can find on the net at unbelievable prices. Only printer brand I will buy. Been using one for over 10 years and still works great.

Needed a cheaper priced printer asap. Checked out other reviews and was not disappointed. Comes with ink, and doesn't take up a lot of room.

My new Brother printer gets the job done without to much effort. I don't do anything fancy or make a lot of copies, And the price was great. The price of the ink was moderate compared to many other brands or models. Am well satisfied, so far.
