Customers praise the keyboard quality, battery life, and ease of use of this wireless keyboard. They also appreciate the sturdy hinge and improved stability it offers compared to the original keyboard. While some find it adds weight to their Surface Pro, the secure fit and smooth typing experience are frequently highlighted as positive aspects. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the concerns about added weight.

I have continually used this keyboard for more than a month now and I really enjoy the feel of the keys.
Only issues and it is very minor, is that sometimes when the keyboard is closed, it will take some time to reconnect with the surface through bluetooth.
other than that minor glitch, everything is nice. The keyboard also feels very sturdy with its aluminum construction.

Literally just plug and play straight from the box. If there is any confusion the manual explains it. May not be the same for all people depending on the quality of wiring in their building/house but was able to obtain full connection as if I were directly connected to my router! Definitely recommend this product in particular as it also acts as a wifi-extender without bogging down your existing network as other extenders would do.

This keyboard is stable and has a better feel than the original Microsoft Keyboard that you can buy for much, much more. I have both keyboards (Microsoft and the Brydge) for my Microsoft Surface Pro 4. The Microsoft keyboard is lightweight, but the Brydge is more stable to use and it folds nicely. The mouse pad is a bit smaller than the Microsoft. I prefer the Brydge keyboard for more of a laptop experience while working.

The Brydge 12.3 is a sturdy, good looking complement to the Surface Pro 4. I like the feel and reaction of the keys, however, there is frequently a bit of lag between the keypresses or trackpad movements and the response on-screen. I think the product has great potential, but for now, I've moved back to the Suface Pro Type Cover with Fingerprint ID.

It does what it says. Keys don't feel that great to me. I touch type 60+ WPM.
It's a little laggy at time, worse than other bluetooth keyboards.
It's bulky and heavy.
Pro's. Long battery life, looks match the SP4. Very tight fit.
Overall, I'm not sure I would recommend this over other alternatives out there.

This was for a friend but from what I can tell, it's nice and sturdy, enough to counteract the weight of the tablet itself. The backlight is definitely a nice touch, and the battery life so far is great. No issues with the mouse so far. From all the reviews I've read on Bluetooth keyboards for the Surface, this got the best ratings and I can definitely see why.

Love it separate, a little to tight when holding

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loves that he can have his feet up on his desk and the keyboard in his lap. It allows him to change position more often and free up his wrists. One concern, when you slide the tablet into the holders on the keyboard, they are a little to tight on the screen and we are concerned that the pressure point on the screen will do long term damage. But if you like your keyboard totally free from your Pro, this is the keyboard for you. Holds up a little better than the suede/felt on the fabric keyboard as well. Good back lighting.

I am really satisfied with the 12.3 keyboard/mouse combo for my Surface. Easy to install and setup, and works seamlessly. Only slight downside is finding case for it.

Have been using this keyboard for about a month now and it’s held up nicely so far. Keys are comfortable and I have no problem with typing long periods of time. The only bad thing is the trackpad could definitely be larger. Not too big a problem though.

The design of the Brydge requires you to pinch the Surface Pro between two polymer-coated prongs at the base. Be careful not to close the prongs in order to grip the Surface tightly or you may damage your screen. Your Surface pro will rest ½” below the keyboard when it is inserted in the prongs. Be careful of the edges of your keyboard as they may be sharp. The top edge of mine slit open my finger – it was that sharp. The two edges did not properly meet each other. I was really surprised that this passed QC before they sent out the unit. The other issue that may be a significant problem for some is ergonomic. The manufacturers placed two small raised polymer supports at the outer left and right corners where my wrists lay. To be fair similar structures appear on the ipad pro Brydge model but these are not as pronounced/raised as they are on the Surface Pro model. The Brydge communicates with the Surface Pro by Bluetooth. Communications are wonky. If you are a touch typist you may find the delay irksome as I did. Contrary to what tech support will tell you restarting and recoupling won't resolve the problem. The keys on the keyboard itself are nicely spaced and have a decent amount of travel. Battery on the keyboard does not last 3-months as claimed, maybe three days. If you find that your keyboard isn’t responsive, it may be that you need to charge it. I don’t recommend relying on the LEDs to tell you that your keyboard needs charged as this did not work for me. The “touch” pad is another weakness of the Brydge. If you were looking forward to adding this feature to your Surface Pro, you may be disappointed. The Brydge is really heavy, too, so you lose the light weight of the tablet if you opt for the Brydge. I would have been able to put up with this if the keyboard itself had lived up to all the hype. Lastly when you place the surface pro in the cradle you cannot lay the surface pro flat and use it as a tablet. You have to take the surface pro out of the brydge first. That’s a HUGE problem. You lose the ability to use the Surface as a 2-in-1 with the Brydge. I returned mine so I cannot in good faith recommend the Byrdge to you.

I had the flimsy surface keyboard and hates that I couldn't keep it on my lap. This was PERFECT. it is a bit tight at the corners, which makes me nervous that it'll cause damage. But I just pushed it to the side that way it wasnt pressing on the screen. A def must buy.

Great build design for the Surface Pro 4, actually making it like a laptop. Sturdiness and balance is great when using on your lap without having to get into an uncomfortable position, unlike using the surface stand and the Surface flimsy keyboard. You may need to get used to the mouse pad, left and right clicking needs a little bit of pressure.

Turns my surface pad 4 into a normal laptop and seems to work flawlessly. I like the advantage of using my surface 4 with the added option of converting it however I need. With the keyboard attached, nobody has even noticed it is an accessory, the think I have I new laptop. Definitely 2 thumbs up and 5 stars!!!

At long last! I love my surface, but using it on my lap is difficult. This keyboard is the answer to my dreams. Great keyboard, firm enough to be stable anywhere. Touch is excellent as well! Thank you!
