They also appreciate the sturdy hinge and improved stability it offers compared to the original keyboard. While some find it adds weight to their Surface Pro, the secure fit and smooth typing experience are frequently highlighted as positive aspects. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the concerns about added weight.

Great but will have to return it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard itself is great but alas I will have to return it. When you actually get into the instructions you find out that the keyboard is not designed to work with the Surface if it has any screen protector other than the one sold by Brydge or you can be in danger of screen damage. I had a screen protector put on it right away and therefore now I cannot use this keyboard. I have one of these for my IPAD and they are great but in the end designed so that I cannot use it.

Pretty good keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up to use my SP on my lap at night. It connects up with no issues and the keyboard itself is pretty good. The track pad could be better but for what I'm using it for, it does a pretty good job.

Not My Favorite
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this keyboard to use with my Surface Pro 3 to give it more of a "laptop" feel. I did read reviews and purchased anyway. Ultimately I did regret the purchase because of the way the brackets are used on the Surface Pro 3 screen. It caused light leakage which I was told by the manufacturers, was normal. I didn't feel comfortable with that answer or the fact that they recommended using pliers to adjust the brackets for my screen.

Just ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Makes the laptop much heavier. Would have preferred to have it charge via the surface and not a cord. Would recommend if you don't mind the additional weight.

Keyboard Converts Surface Pro to Surface Book
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brydge 12.3 Wireless Keyboard (Silver) For Microsoft Surface Pro 3 & 4 Price: Retails for $149.99 Compatibility: Designed to replace MS Type Cover keyboard & trackpad of MS Surface Pro 3 or 4 w/a more traditional clamshell design, thus removing the need for the tablet’s kickstand & making it easier to balance on my lap or use on an airplane tray table or other limited space. Function/Purpose: Essentially turns my Surface Pro 4 (tablet) into a Surface Book (laptop). Packaging: Premium product packaging w/very impressive design; easy unboxing & clear/logical/straightforward instructions in quick reference user manual. Connectivity: Bluetooth 3.0 wireless pairing: connection of keyboard to my Surface Pro 4 is quick/painless. Usability: My Surface Pro 4 easily inserts into the Brydge keyboard’s silicon hinges; offers good snug/tight fit & feels very secure/stable. Functionality: Gives my Surface Pro 4 the feel of a real laptop, allowing me to open the display to my preferred viewing angle (0-160˚); stays fixed w/o a kickstand. Feel/Weight: Although it’s touted as lightweight, the forged solid aluminum keyboard is a tad heavy at 1½ lbs. But I like the sturdy, precision-engineered feel; so, the extra weight is an acceptable tradeoff. Backlit Keys: Offers 3 manually adjustable levels of light—increasing visibility in low-light working environments. Touchpad: It’s a bit small for my hands, but for my wife, whose hands are small/slender, it’s acceptable. Wish the trackpad were configurable. Wish List: Given the size & weight of the keyboard, some extra USB ports would be convenient as would an auxiliary battery to extend the battery life of my Surface Pro 4. Feature: Includes auto sleep/wake function. Battery Life: Rated @3mo; includes micro USB power cable. Dimensions: 8”W x 1/3”H x 11½” D Warranty: 1yr parts & labor.

So frustrating!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The surface is already a massive purchase and then it falls down all the time because it's too flimsy, and the only keyboard that can fit it and make it more like a laptop is the brydge. $200 for a keyboard. That doesn't charge easily and the only good thing is that it fits snugly. The cons are that it doesn't track your clicks well and highlights things you don't want and doesn't highlight what you do. It mistakenly closes windows you are working in even when you don't click them closed. The cursor disappears on the regular when using the keyboard mouse, results in having to switch from the keyboard to the touchscreen. And customer support asks for videos to help you fix problems, how exactly am I supposed to video myself while holding a phone and using a keyboard of? Of course either I miss the issue or it won't do the problem for the video. Total rubbish and I wish I'd just gotten a regular nice laptop. The surface pro has been a colossal waste of money and the brydge doesn't make it any better.

Almost Good Enough
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really great computer, but lack of an official type cover that stably sits on my lap, and difficulties with battery life make the computer an average buy. I bought the Brydge keyboard to make up for the shortcomings of the type cover, and that works pretty good, but the computer wasn't just great out of the box. The newer versions may address the battery life, so I still strongly recommend the surface line for portability and performance. It's just difficult to find the exact right balance for each customer.

A Brydge to the Surface
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Brydge 12.3 wireless keyboard is simply awesome. Stylish, light weight, and easy to use. Setup is really easy. Within a few minutes I was connected to my Surface Pro and working with no hassles. The keyboard is comfortable and responsive, and I love the recision of the touchpad. The design of the Brydge really makes the Surface Pro come to life. The backlit keyboard is amazing in low light conditions. The battery life is also exceptional. Making the Brydge the perfect companion for the Surface Pro. One of my favorite features of the Brydge keyboard is the sturdy connection mount that support the Surface in a docking fashion. The mounts allow the user to adjust the position of the Surface Pro screen, providing viewing angles that could not be achieved with the kickstand. I can put the Surface in my lap while traveling or lying down and the screen is always in the right position for my viewing comfort. I would definitely recommend this to all Surface Pro 3 & 4 owners.

Great, just didn't know I needed to buy it at firs
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great. I just wish BestBuy's site was clearer when these need to be bought for people new to the Surface Pro world. The tablet sold separately part of the pic is nice here, but it wasn't so obvious when buying the tablet when I did.

It's ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like that it turns my surface into a laptop, but the keys are so hard to push, it's heavy, and it doesn't always work well.

Love this keyboard except...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am unable to use the right click feature typically found on a mouse or computer touchpad. I will probably invest in a mouse to use with it instead.
