Big, bulky and not very portable. I purchased this drive for quality, not portability. Needed to read Cds that contain old graphics software I use. It's fast, quiet and despite its size fits in my laptop briefcase. Reads Blu-Ray, DVD and Cds with no problems. Great drive!

USB 3.0, CD/DVD/Blu ray, all in one. Only burned one disc so far but very fast. If the USB cable is not long enough and you go to buy another cable make sure to get a USB 3.0 cable, they are physically different. Unless you don't have USB 3.0 on your computer? Still worth it for future upgrades.

If your looking for a multi format drive you can’t go wrings with this Buffalo Drive... Fast speed and 3.0 USB use.

I BOUGHT THIS TO REPLACE A PIONEER AND A LG BLURAY WHICH I KEPT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH AND THIS ONE I LOVE. VERY FAST AND QUIET

It does seem fast. I do not notice pauses. Insert and eject are smooth. It does all I ask.

Like others have said, it is a little large, and I wouldn't want to take it on a trip. But with my new PC lacking a drive, it fills the need to be able to view film credits for my job. Be warned though, it attempts to load more software than just what is needed to run the player or burn discs (I have 14 icons in the CyberLink Media Suite folder). So, you might want to be careful during installation. I'm still trying to figure out which software started trying to download my pictures from OneDrive.

I just bought a high -dollar Brand Name Gaming desktop and it must have been put together by a true "Gamer who doesnt want to waste a penny on anything that doesn't have to do with games! It had a ced/dvd/blu ray reading drive with no burning capability and the flimsy drive they put in probably wouldn't last through installing the software into the machine. This is the answer to everything "storage" including using 100GB BD-XL discs to back up my NAS Drive. Add the fact that I can plug this into my Optical driveLESS Surface Pro and Surface 3 Pro and it drasticaslly increases the capability of any machine you plug it into!

I was really happy with how quiet and fast it was.

Have had no issues at all with this unit. Have been ripping over 1200 DVD's into my pc and it has not missed a beat.

I needed a new drive to replace my old one. I usually use it for ripping from CD's and DVDs. It works great and never a problem. It plays CDs and DVDs really well but like I said I use it more for ripping.

This unit does exactly what it is advertised to do. My only "complaint" is the size. This unit looks like an early era CD drive. It is bulky. If you are looking for somethig sleek and unobtrusive, keep looking. That is the ony reason I did not give it 5 stars. Operationally, it is outstanding.

Easy install & setup started using almost immediately I did have to let the software update run but was not long I have started to use to backup by DVDs & doing great

Built a pc and realized that my case didn't have a slot for a cd drive luckily I found this. A little bulky but it's ok its does the job and I can watch my movies and install software.

Works good. I have only used it at a player so far though.
