    A good game, very realistic

    Posted .

The game is generally easy to learn. My son at 10 years old was faster at picking up the nuances than I was at 44, but we played it together trading off hunts. The game surrounds you with the wilderness and is highly realistic particularly in the high intensity sequences where you're being attacked by bears and a mountain lion, as well as walking across gorges on narrow logs that fall out from under you.

    Great game for hunting enthusiast

    Posted .

My whole family likes this game. The graphics are great and every level has a challenge. There are also quick shoots that are similar to a shooting gallery, but wilth animals (ducks, rabbits, fox etc) running in natural patterns. I like that to get the best scores, the player must be patient and wait for the shop, or creep slowly toward the target. This has been great for my ADHD child who usually has no patience. Each hunt is different and requires different sets of skills for the new terrain. Some of the challenges seem almost impossible until the hunter finds the right combination of weapon, location and body target for the animal, but there are cheers all around when it's mastered. The only drawback on this bundle is the design in the riffle. It is somewhat hard to use the numchuk triggers. My family generally, foregoes the riffle and plays with just the controlers. The accuracy is just as good if you have experience with the controls.

    Very fun game

Tracking, and stalking in this game is fairly realistic. It's a very fun game so far. The mini games are also a good break from walking through the woods. The controls are a little funny with the shotgun setting. Twisting the gun to get the hunter sense is a pain. It is a little hard to keep the sights where you want when your holding the gun sideways. If the controls were customizable it would be the best game I own.

Cabela's Wii 2010 Big game hunter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is fun! They do five you gits as to were the animals are at, but do not help you with the cover pints or the animal signs. You need these to get extra points to metal at the end. My kids are 4& 6 and they have trouble doing the career part because of having to walk around plus look thru the telescope. They do enjoy the shooting gallery though. There are a few other places in the game that are challenging so far where you fall off the log when walking across it and you start seeing Z, C, B and you have to tap them over and over quickly while holding the joy stick forward at the same time. Once I figured this out it was easy!!!! This game is fun for the whole family we have all played it!!!!

    Hard to navigate.

People please read your instruction booklet. The default controller came with B trigger for fire a shot. You can also change your controller setting in option and use Z button for fire a shot. Anyway this game still giving me headache.

    Great family fun.

Bought the game for my Daughter for Christmas, and we have had a great time playing. The shooting gallery is fun and challenging mode, although I don't find the career hunting mode to be as much fun. Overall this is a great game if you get it at the right price. I paid 29.99. Would not pay the full price of 49.99. Make it part of your family game night and it will be worth the price.

    Great game for kids!

    Posted .

I bought this game for my nephews (4 & 10) since they love going out camping and hunting. When they played it, they were so excited to use a shotgun and being able to shoot various game, i.e. deer, bear, mountain lion, and so many other various types. Also, they liked the challege. Sometimes the animals get away after they spot you or come after you. It's like you're really hunting! Even my brother played it! (35) and he liked it. The difficulty level is good enough. I'd recommend this game to anyone who likes hunting!

    Pretty fun game

Its a pretty fun game, but its not very challenging. However, my 9 year old really loves it and he keeps going back through it to try to get all gold medals on each level, so its given him a lot of playing time. The "gun" is comfortable to use and works well. It also breaks down for travel. All in all. a good purchase and I recommend it.

    Fun, interactive game

    Posted .

This game is very similar to the arcade style you find at movie theaters and the like. The campaign mode is fun as is the shooting gallery. I mostly posted this review to help out someone who posted before me. He said he was using the Gun remote and it was difficult as you had to press the B button to fire. If you go under settings and find the controls, you can switch it so where the controls are for the shotgun remote. Then it functions like a gun and you get a realistic feel.

game is great, gun could be better

    Posted .

game is a lot of fun and pretty realistic. The gun is not that good. Sometimes when shaking it to get the animal off the controller will shake right out. The gun should be better thought out and made to be more of a rifle type gun instead of so small and short.

    Cabella's Big Game Hunter

    Posted .

Gave the gift to my 15 year old daughter and she loves it. Her 27 year old brother also loved it and wanted one for himself. He's now getting one for his birthday. Levels of difficutly range in degree. There are tricks to killing some of the big game that take some practice but if you aren't up for that...the small game is fun too. Many scenery changes. It's even entertaining if you're not playing and just watching. Highly recommend it for any teenager or up.

    Great Experience

    Posted .

The product was fun and we played it as a family during Christmas vacation. It was hard enough to keep us going yet simple enough to make us want to keep going to the next level. Already, at the last level and have not even had it for 30 days!! Ordering online, going to park in the online pickup spot at Best Buy, going to Customer Service and picking up the item was a smooth experience!

    It's Okay...Not Great, Just Okay

    Posted .

The game control is goofy and backwards. You don't use the nunchuck trigger to shoot the gun with, which is where a normal rifle trigger would be as it is mounted in the included rifle stock...Also, you have to use the nun chuck to look around and move while using the front control in the forward position of the stock to shoot and it just makes it awkward overall. Fun game, and would benefit from a revamp of control/interface out of the box.

    Motion Sickness Be Warned

When you move using the gun that it comes with it makes it very difficult to watch because of how sensitive it is, I spun around some many times just trying to go in a straight line.

    Cabelas 2010

The game is far to short and easy. The scenarios needed to be more life like where you pesonally have to go and hunt that way you can stay interested even if it is very difficult!

    Fun game

Overall the game fun and challenging. My only downer is that the guns buttons are backwards. It would be nice if C was to aim. Otherwise it is a great game.

    good game

i bought the game for the gun attachment. however it does not fire like a typical gun, you must shoot with the "B" button wich is located on the front of the gun. kinda takes the fun out of it. would recommend the game, not the gun

This is not a game for children. My husband and I are experienced hunters and there are levels that are really hard to get past.
