Doesn't work and I would never recommend this.

Firstly, the integrated air fryer feature was a selling point, but upon using it, I discovered that there was no way to set the temperature for the air fryer despite the manual indicating otherwise. I contacted customer support, and a technician was sent to my home, but unfortunately, he could not resolve the issue and did not follow up with me as promised. He told me that when he called Cafe customer support they told him that the manual for the unit was incorrect!!? You can't actually set the temp for the air fryer. Really!? Secondly, after owning the product for only a month, I encountered a new issue where none of the buttons were responding when I tried to use it. This is frustrating because I expected better quality control for a high-end product. Overall, I am dissatisfied with this purchase.

I had some issues with the time converting to military time even though standard time is set. Functionality is ok.

Fire inside the wiring of the microwave

Almost as soon as it was professionally installed, it began making a grinding sound and smoke came out between the top of the microwave and the bottom of the cabinet. We contacted Best Buy. They sent someone out but couldn't find anything wrong with it. Fast forward the next two years and we had to make the same call (this time to GE) for the same issues. Again, the technicians couldn't find anything wrong with it. They advised us to take a video of the sound and smoke - which we did the 4th time. We made the appointment prior to the end of October 31 (the end of our contract). Two men came out and found out the microwave was arcing, which they said was like lightening striking inside the wiring. They advised us not use the microwave, which we didn't. They sent their findings to GE. GE denied our claim for a new microwave. We could get a new microwave through GE but had to pay for it. They said we were past our warranty when the problem was found - even though it's been happening for two years. They go by when the issue was discovered. I will never purchase another GE or Whirlpool (also made by GE) appliance again.

I downgraded the rating because the delivery schedule was a nightmare. (The Best Buy system kept sending me emails telling me different times (including an installation appointment after it was installed.) The emails said to set it through up through their automated system, the automated system didn’t work. So I kept calling and getting disconnected. Went to the store twice to figure out what was going on). The install crew was good. I also discovered they didn’t send me a manual when I tried to use the oven. Once I downloaded the manuals, I discovered that the auto correction for the cooking temperature for the convection oven was not set up correctly. I still haven’t figured out how to get it done. Probably have to call the company.

Super low quality Junk

Servicer came and showed me bad door switch and burned control unit. This microwave was used lightly in a 2 person household. Technician showed me the cheap parts that make up this microwave. Have 2 Cafe appliances and both had issues within the first year. I’m done with this brand and all GE products.

Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this appliance based on the GE Brand, and expected to be able to free up space on my countertop, but find the only option that gives me satisfaction is the microwave which i already had with my original GE APPLIANCE. This was a hige mistake as i paid premium dollars for a sub par beautiful appearance appliance! This should not be advertised as an air fryer as it is worthless!
