Unlike my old GE Microwave, this actually does defrost food very quickly. The knob dial is very easy to use.

I particularly like the button that controls the number of minutes to cook. Instead of entering the numbers, you dial the amount of cook time. Easy to use. Perfect food every time.

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We had the microwave for 3 weeks when we cooked potatoes in it, pressed the sensor cook "potatoes" and it cooked for 20 minutes. After that, the microwave wouldn't function anymore. We called GE and they sent a service person come out under warranty. We had to wait 2.5 weeks for the appointment. He told us that the magnatron burnt out. It took another 3 weeks for him to order the part and come out to fix it. The wait for the microwave to get fixed was longer that the time we had the brand new microwave. Why would it break when it's supposed to be "sensor" cooking? The microwave should've stopped when it sensed that it's getting too hot to cook the potatoes. I would've returned but because we ordered this in January and didn't have our kitchen remodel finished until February, past the 30 day return policy of bestbuy. Also, we bought the trims for the sides and they are awful fit. The assembly is wobbly and would not stay in place. The screws that came with them would not secure the trims. We had to find different screws and ended up using a nut to hold everything in place.

Did not want to wait for KitchenAid to be in stock but I definitely should have. The Cafe line is NOT anything special. Poor quality for the price. Sadly, the microwave is the nicest product in the entire line.

Good Looking Microwave

The wall mounting plate was not wide enough for the microwave to sit in it properly. One edge would bee to short to fit end to end. I was able to still secure the microwave to the wall/cabinet, but this was an odd issue to have.

I think the ventilation is not really good. And I didn’t get the ventilation filters. Contacted the customer service
