Great microwave and awesome sleek look. Like that there is no handle and overall get lots of compliments. Functionally it works well with no problems. Used to get an error message when reheating but figured out that you need to have the food slightly vented so the unit can sense the steam. Would buy again. Best Buy delivery flawless.

A great microwave with a glass coating makes the front reflect like a mirror. It heats the food evenly and connects to Wifi, and will communicate with other Cafe appliances like certain ranges. My only complaint is that the exhaust fan doesn't seem to suck enough steam out from the front two burners of my stove, occasionally causing condensation.

Okay, so I don’t normally bash products that take time to create an perfect. I’m hoping this is the scenario with this over the range microwave. The microwave itself is visually appealing but, even with that being said there is some issues in the design. First issue is the glass aka the viewing window you would use to watch your food cook. It’s tinted so dark that you can’t actually see if there is anything cooking. Also the glass touch panel portion completely stops you from see what little you could. It’s due to how high the microwave sits and the viewing angle of your shorter than 6 ft. It also doesn’t help that in all the pictures the manufacturer posts the interior lights appear to be LED, well they’re not. In fact I actually called café and spoke to a representative about why the model numbers are slightly different. Apparently it’s for parts but I also think it’s due to the fact they change the design without letting anyone know. The textured background on the interior of the microwave which is a huge selling point, isn’t textured at all. I had to get two of these microwaves, one was replacing the other. When I asked the representative on the phone why they don’t have that textured background she didn’t really know and said maybe it’s due to them finding a flaw in the design. That’s great but that doesn’t do anything for the consumer who assumes they’re buying all these features that aren’t actually there which depreciates the value of the appliance, in my opinion. Also it’s kind of pointless to have this glass design win the handle which is just an indentation on the side of the microwave where your fingers can go in, it’s inconvenient. Most people don’t open anything with a flat hand. There is usually a gripping gesture that occurs. Well the glass portion of this microwave that is over the stainless steel. That isn’t the portion of your hands come in contact with, it’s the actual black bezel and screen of the microwave. Which leaves streaks like no other. So it’s not really convenient if you’re buying this for the cleanliness factor, especially if you have kids. Another issue I noticed with advertising is online they have them marked at 1050 watts. They are definitely not 1050 W, when you open the door it literally says 1000. So not only am I cosmetically not getting what I paid for, the performance isn’t even up to par. Also, if you have an open concept kitchen that flows into a dining or living area the fans that come on this device to move air from the range below it, assuming you have a range below it, they’re not very quiet. They actually seem louder than my old GE appliance that came with the house. I also have the matching fridge in modern glass, it’s better than the old GE one I had. Lastly, the reason I had to return and swap them out is because close to the door handles, there seems to be this blemish inside of the glass. Not sure if that will allow moisture to accumulate. It’s very visible in some light and it’s be present on both microwaves. This isn’t on par with the quality this device claims to be. It’s when you put a screen protector on a phone but don’t get the air bubbles out. It’s not attractive. I’m very disappointed with the entire staff and development team for this product. Honestly I wish more companies would put their products into testing faces with loyal consumers to see the pros and cons. I don’t want to bash the café line as a whole or the people who developed it, I just want to say there should be an emphasis on what you’re getting when you buy one of these products. The good and bad. The reviews are what sold me in the advertisement. I may be pointing out the flaws but there are some good things. The Alexa feature has worked flawlessly for me, being able to start or stop and pick the time I want to cook food that just by using my voice is nice. It just requires that you have Alexa on your phone or on a device in the house. The visual design is also very sleek and formal. As long as you have the other glass products, everything just flows. But there is a bluish gray hue to it in certain light and that may cause it to conflict with other stainless steel appliances that are in proximity to it. I do however love the cleanliness of the microwave due to its styling. Like others have mentioned, it would’ve been nice if it was compatible with a rack inside that way you could have air circulating from the bottom and the top of whatever it is you’re cooking, but I knew what I was getting and wasn’t getting when I bought this. Overall I would not buy this product again unless I was going solely for the exterior design or the utility of being able to start and stop it with my voice. I have had my product for approximately a month. I now have the second microwave and have had it for a few days. I can’t recommend this if you’re buying it based off of the specs for the ads for it. Just know what you’re getting because you’re not getting what you think you are. Also, careful with the dimensions, I had my contractor raise the cabinet because Cafe adversed the incorrect height. It’s measured off the front which has this trim along the front bottom to maybe hide the bumps under it for the filters. They should advertise the back dimensions and the front. Like places so for fridges when they give dimensions for

Aesthetically pleasing microwave it is such an eyecatcher whenever I entertain guests. It wins in functionality as well. This is my first smart appliance. I downloaded the app and synced my microwave and wow, I'm impressed! I didn't realize that this microwave will automatically turn on the vent after my food has finished cooking. I loved love love it!

Our first purchase of Cafe. We decided to upgrade our kitchen appliances, we splurged with the Cafe Glass line. Cooks everything quickly and pretty evenly. Love the steam clean setting, cup of water, a press of a button and it easily wipes clean. Love how sleek it looks, no handle and no buttons when not in use. We have only had it a few months so we haven't used all the features and there's a lot. I will say the exhaust fan is just as loud as our old one. Otherwise I love it!!

Bottom line upfront- this microwave is dangerous for your life and health. It has a flimsy door and it keeps running even when the door is open. I called GE and the customer service guy didn't really care. He says they will try to fix it. I reported them to FDA as it does not meet FDA regulations. A microwave should stop when the door is in the open position, there is a chance to cook your eyes or internal organs if you are close by. I bought mine in September 2023 and still waiting for a working door. I attached my microwave model number and manufacturing date stay away. I will update this review and Best buy when I hear from FDA and Safetyproducts . Please check safetyproducts before you buy any appliances. It is a government agency. Be safe. I am not surprised if they get a recall on this product soon.

I bought this microwave to go with my Cafe refrigerator and range. It really made my kitchen look very modern.

I love the design. It is really beautiful. Works vert well and is much quieter than our previous micro. setup is easy. you may connect this to SmartHQ app on your phone to turn it on, see status, add 30 second and set a timer. great feature. I think the app can be improved, since it send wrong notification sometimes.

Great looking microwave, easy to clean. Love the scan to cook function with app. Little on the pricy side but as I stated much easier to clean than stainless and looks better. Like the lights go out and just a press on the front brings them back on.

Great addition as part of our Cafe line purchases. Clean looking and great microwave. Nice space inside and the panel lights up showing the selections. Only downfall for having less than a week is when you press the panel to do anything, there is a bit of a gap that makes a noise as you push your selections. The unit is sealed but some "tolerance" as you push the panel that we've noticed can be a bit unnerving rather than a firm backing. For the price tag, this shouldn't be happening.

Without a doubt, the best microwave we have purchased. The packaging was very good and protected the device. Instructions were easy to follow for mounting. Use of the microwave and the appearance is exceptional. The touchscreen is clean and easy to read and use. not having a handle makes it very easy to clean and use. I would say the only con to this is the lack of detailed usage instructions. For the most part it is very intuitive, however, some functions are not totally explained - like steam clean. Overall, a fantastic microwave

I've had this microwave for almost 2 months now and love it. I replaced a 19yr old functioning Whirlpool Gold convection oven and realized that there has been some upgrades in technology over the years. The operation of the microwave is decibels softer and does not interfere with trying to hear what is going on in the next room (TV and conversations). I use it typically from 1-2 mins for most of my re-heating and cooking frozen veggies at about 3-4 minutes. Steaming in steamer bags for 2-3 minutes. The app integration went well once I was able to locate the appropriate app. The documentation lists the wrong app name, and the app is not obvious like Cafe or GE, it uses a 3rd party provider SmartHQ. Smart HQ is not mentioned on any of the product documentation and when searching the App Store it does come up, but you should be careful what you install. Alexa integration was smooth and yes, it uses the SmartHQ skill. Get my drift here folks? Cafe/GE microwave no SmartHQ in any of the branding. I use the "Alexa turn off/on the microwave light" or Alexa turn on the microwave for 2 minutes" commands often. Its handy when your hands are messy, or you need to tend to the stove top. Finally, the look is a large reason I wanted it. It is so slick and clean looking. The fingerprint resistant control panel stays nice and clean. Just touch it on the left or right of the clock and it comes to life! So many reviews of people who couldn't figure this one out.

Good product with all the usual features, Only lasted 4-5 years before breaking down.
