Great GE Fridge

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So far this fridge is great, we purchased this GE Cafe to replace our Samsung because of the temperature being inconsistent , and so far this fridge keeps things cold and fresh. Our milk and cheese are not going bad any more like they were with our old fridge. Fridge was delivered with a little uneven doors, but once I mentioned this to the delivery people they worked on getting this corrected, and before you know it doors were even. I definitely can recommend this GE Cafe or any GE Fridge. The Sales people at Pacific Sales and Best buy were great.

Lots of space for everything. If you can, design a place for it when building your kitchen. It will fit better. I fitted mine in the regular “refrigerator opening area” in my new house. It shows a couple inches extra on the sides, but I still love it.

It is quite spacious and the backlit made everything easy to find. I got so many compliment and the matte white paint does not look cheap at all. The handle matches my delta champagne bronze faucet, everything is perfect.

Beautiful, Low Quality Refrigerator

But we have had multiple issues within the first few weeks of ownership. The technician has come out three times now to fix a strange noise coming from the inside. The front right door has insulation leaked out all over it and over 12 tiny holes where it was leaking. The gasket around the door is really loose. The water dispenser drips randomly. The ice machine shoots ice out almost sideways so you have to hold the cup up against the dispenser at the top. The little green tape is hard to remove, we were told to use a utility knife to remove. The only problem with this is that is where rust starts, which happened on our last refrigerator. For the very steep price tag it seems we sacrificed performance for aesthetic.

Try using rubber tipped tweezers to remove the tape and see if that helps.

Brent was professional, helpful, and knowledgeable! We drove over an hour to this location to see what they had available for same day purchase and it did not disappoint! We’ve already told many of our friends, neighbors, and family! We will return in the future for other appliance needs. For reference we purchased the GE Cafe

It's a $4,000 pantry with no cold air.

(Manual says give it a day to work and turn off ice maker to speed things up.) Woke up this morning. Internal temperature in freezer is 69 degrees. Checked all door seals. Unplugged for 30 seconds to reset. Connected it to my wifi to verify status. By all appearances, the refrigerator is on. Control panel works. App says it's working and temps are set to 37 degrees for refrigerator and 0 degrees for freezer. But no cold air whatsoever. Due to limited availability, no replacement is available. If you want a $4,000 pantry that looks nice and dispenses water, spend your money on this. If you are looking for a refrigerator, avoid it.

If one of your French doors is sitting higher, we recommend that you first adjust the unit’s leveling legs and then adjust the hinges to get the doors to the perfect height. Best looking refrigerator ever!

I get so many comments on this Cafe refrigerator. Everyone loves the look of it, comments on how roomy it is. We love the drawers, the look of it and the quality. The back lighting inside is awesome. It is well made and sturdy. I love it. The water even counts the ounces so you can use it to measure when making protein drinks, etc. It is easy to organize and looks awesome!
