Instead it blinks nonstop when I press the power bottom. Also the wast sensor doesn’t work 8 of 10 times and I constantly have used coffee all over. I like the coffee it makes, but the little troubles are very annoying! Was expecting more for the price I paid! It is very cute tho!

Bought all kinds of coffee beans to try this. It worked nicely in the beginning. Then sometimes "Add Water" indicator is on even water tank is full, had to follow the App assistant tell you to ran hot water. This time did not work. Then I called GE customer service, took a video and pictures, sent those over. A week later no response. It's not a good experience when excitement turns into a nightmare.

cafe affetto not for me

It is not hot enough. Sadly beside it looking good, i have nothing else good to say

For the price point, it doesnt feel premium in build quality. Furthermore, the app you have tp isenwas buggy on Android and wouldn't save the settings. It feels very beta.

Even I can tell it tastes good

I wasn't sure I was one of those people who could tell the difference between good and great expresso. So trying out the Café Affetto Espresso Machine, I was shocked. You really can tell. Right out of the gate, this machine is just so SLEEK and has the modern design aesthetic. It just fit well into the kitchen. The copper piece stands out and gives it a premium look. The build quality matches its aesthetic. It does not take up too much kitchen real estate. I just hoped that it made just as good of an expresso. So I love fidgeting with gadgets, but I thought it was going to be complicated using this one. I just did not have experience with expresso machines. Right off the bat, you need unground coffee beans. Can't get the already ground stuff. Then, you gotta play with the grind settings. Everyone has their own individual preferences. I liked the default grind size and set the grind time to the max. I would play around with the different combinations of size, time, and beans to find your sweet spot. All of these factors really do make a subtle difference. Once you find your favorite, you stick with it! I was really impressed with how easy it was and how good it tasted! Everything is just automatic. My dad who is an expresso aficionado, was also impressed with it. There are definitely better expresso machines out there, but the usability makes it worth it for the average person. The steam wand for your milk is also quick and easy to use. All in all, this is a great expresso machine for simple people like me. I think the strength lies in how easy it is to use and everythings just automated so there is less room for people like me to mess up on. Nothing beats waking up to a quick expresso in the morning.

Not Worth the Money

It continued to give .75 ounces of espresso!!! Couldn’t change it!! Do you know how much .75 ounces is?? About a thimble worth!!! This machine sucks!!! I returned it in less than 5 days!! Word to the wise stay far away from this espresso machine!!!

Typically, if the unit will not sync with the app and will not save information, there are a number of reasons: Check to make sure the WiFi symbol is blinking when trying to commission. If not, you'll need to follow the directions on how to commission. If after commissioning is the WiFi light lit solid and not blinking? If the app still doesn't work, we recommend that you unplug it. It could be an issue with communication or with your network. Another suggestion is to try rebooting your WiFi and try recommissioning. If the above does not help, we would recommend contacting the Connected Home Support Line at 1-800-220-6899, Monday -Friday 9am - 11pm ET, Saturday - Sunday 9am - 3pm ET. Compact and Easy to Use

It has a small footprint that easy fits on my kitchen countertop. Setup is as easy as opening the box, removing tape, cleaning and filling the water bin, adding coffee beans, letting the machine self clean and pressing the appropriate drink button. Your choice of drink is then made in a matter of seconds. An app is available to customize the drink. The app is also used to monitor the machine condition. I have previously had other other espresso machines but they took up too much room or eventually just became a pain in the neck to use. Using the Affetto is a pleasure as it basically only involves the press of a button to make the desired drink. The Affetto is also easy to disassemble to clean and maintain. Other features built in wifi, a milk frother, and the ability to make hot water. I highly recommend the Affetto to anyone looking for a beautiful, compact espresso machine that is convenient to use and produces very good espresso drinks.
