The Cafe coffee maker is probably the classiest looking coffee maker out there. We liked the choices as far as settings, & it made a good cup of coffee. The only thing that we didn't like is that it says "10 cup" but I failed to see that they consider a cup: 4.5 oz (most are 5 oz per cup). We really wanted a 10-12 cup carafe so decided to return this maker. That's the only reason for 4 stars. It really is the nicest looking coffee make I've ever seen just wish it had a larger capacity.

We have been trying to find a great coffee machine for several years. We’ve tried Braun, Cuisinart - 3 different versions -, Bunn, Mr Coffee, and two different Nespresso machines. This one is BY FAR the best option, it brews a great cup. Our ONLY gripe is that it dribbles water quite a bit after brewing when you take the pot out from under the brewer. It’s connected to the GE app so you can activate it remotely if you wake up earlier than your scheduled time, you can program the temp or just select gold brew. We grind fresh beans each time, use a nice unbleached paper filter and filtered water. If you’re buying better than basic beans and don’t want to brew small batch pour over coffee, this machine is perfect. We have several Cafe products in the kitchen, they’re all top notch appliances.

I am still learning all the aspects of this coffee maker, but so far I am pleased. It is very elegant to look at, takes a while to get used to how to get the settings arranged to make a pot. Right off the bat I will say I do not use wifi, I am retired and don't need to pre set it to make a pot. Also, don't want another device clogging up network. I have been trying different coffees and different settings. I find the bold and gold to be too bitter to my taste, but in all fairness it might be the type of coffee I am making. Recently had to switch to half caf so cant speak to the pure brew of all caf. I find the light and medium settings best suited to my taste. At those settings I get the best flavor. The maker is very easy to clean, a definite plus. I explored getting a new coffee maker because my electric percolator was more difficult to clean and concerned with getting grinds down the drain, have a septic system. The Euro Cuisine percolator made excellent coffee and it stayed hot all the way through. I highly recommend that one. My Moccamaster was not keeping the coffee hot so that is why I tried the percolator. Here are two things you will probably not see in a review: 1. The spoon they provide for the coffee is the best design implementation I ever saw. It is long, narrow and deep and makes getting coffee out of a bag or can so easy, no spilling, just fantastic. 2. The box the coffeemaker came in was one of the hardest boxes i ever encountered to get the product out. Don't get me wrong, it was very securely packaged, just difficult to remove everything. 4 stars so far because I am still in trial phase. I will definitely keep it, just need to 'find the magic formula to always make great coffee.

I really like this coffee brewer. We have had this coffee brewer for a few months now and use it daily. This brewer makes really good tasting coffee. It brews faster than our last coffee brewee. I like the carafe and the fact that it is insulated instead of sitting on a hot plate. It keeps the coffee hot for several hours. I have hooked this up to our amazon echo and it works good, but I have only used the echo to start the coffee brewer a couple times, it is kind if cool to wake up and tell the echo to start the coffee brewer while you are still in bed. My only complaint about this coffee brewer is the charcoal water filter that is a propretary GE water filter, and you cant find them anywhere except the GE website and they ar $10 a piece. That price is much higher than other brands and I really feel like they are goiging their customers. I will probably replace these filters much less than recommended because of that. Over all, because good tasting coffee is the most important aspect of a coffee brewer I am happy with this purchase.

I love this coffee pot! Easy to use, quiet and you can adjust the temperature, which is huge for me. It makes a great cup of coffee that is HOT! I’m a coffee snob and this is so worth it.

Makes great coffee and easy to figure out. Great looking which is a plus. I had a prior Cafe brand that made great coffee and have great hopes for this one, It lasted about 4 years before the burner started to give out. I hope this goes further because that one was much less expensive.

Was a great coffee machine but stopped working after 7 months and GE customer service was no help and would not refund or replace. They would only offer a reimbursement if we bought a new one off their website and then send in the receipt then they would refund us that cost. so we would have to be out the money waiting on their refund check and it has to be through their website where the machine was nearly $70 more than on Best Buy. I would not buy again and won’t be buying any other Cafe products which is unfortunate because it’s a good looking coffee pot and brewed good coffee and we had planned on buying other café appliances. I guess this was a cheap lesson to learn rather than spending $5000 or more on the matching appliances and being stuck in this situation.

I was a bit nervous to purchase this coffee maker after reading previous reviews. However, I'm glad we made the jump to purchase this unit. I couldn't be happier with the quality of coffee this machine produces. The taste of the coffee is buttery smooth! Cleaning the unit is simple. Connecting it Google Home was easy. We haven't experienced the issue with other reviewers that gave it negative reviews. I really do feel sorry for them! My experience has been sublime... I have stopped getting coffee from most places. You can taste the "burnt" in their coffee while this machine in "Gold" setting just provides an elegant smooth taste every single time we use it! We just love the simplicity of brewing and cleanup for this machine. The creators have done a fine job with it. I really love this coffee maker!

What an absolutely beautiful coffee machine! Unfortunately, it does not function as great as it looks. While it does brew the coffee perfectly, the coffee doesn't stay warm for very long. The base does not heat up, so the only way it tries to remain warm is from the insulation of the pot itself. I find myself having to nuke the coffee for an additional 30 seconds more often than I'd like. Not all of the water you put into the reservoir makes its way to filter, so you'll have to add more water to compensate for the cups desired. The weekly Auto Brew feature via the app does not work. I set and saved it only to come downstairs to no coffee. . .and finally I can not get it to sync to Alexa for the life of me. There should not be this many flaws for the price they are charging for this machine.

I love the chic design and all the controls from the temp control to the number of cups, brewed at any one time, the reservoir not being depleted all at once, the pleasant white light illuminating the knobs, clock and the controls. The only thing that was not agreeable to my taste is that the brewed coffee was not hot enough to my palate-even at 204 F, as shown on the panel. I don’t know if it actually brews to that temperature. But, if a very hot coffee is not of concern to one, this coffee maker is just perfect.

You are buying this for the aesthetic. Period. That being said, it’s gorgeous and I love looking at it on my counter. The smart part is cute. I do enjoy starting my coffee from bed on my phone. But you still have to empty and refill every day prior. I’d give it a 4th star if the water reservoir was removable, but I have to scoot it to my sink. It stays hot for a good few hours. Again, I paid because it’s the only maker that looked this good and I am that shallow.

This is a great machine. I never realized how much influence a drip coffee maker can have on the taste of the coffee. We had our previous machine for about 3 years now. Nothing wrong with it, still worked great. But, decided it was time for an upgrade. The difference in taste is quite incredible. This machine makes an amazing tasting coffee. I was worried about the carafe not having a hot plate to keep the coffee warm, but the fact the carafe is insulated works perfectly. Coffee stays piping hot for 2 hours, after that it starts to cool. Highly recommend this machine, it looks really premium, and is a quality product.

This is one of the best and easiest coffee machines I've ever used. Super smooth set up, pretty quiet when brewing and plays a little song when it's finished. 10/10 recommend.

THE GOOD: It is aesthetically pleasing--with a simple, sleek, unobtrusive design. The thermal carafe keeps coffee hot for hours and no dangerous hot plate to worry about. (Love being able to set the auto function for the morning, but still wake up to hot coffee if I decide to sleep in a bit!) Also, this machine is almost endlessly customizable (strength/temperature) to brew the perfect cup for your tastes. And now, THE BAD: The water reservoir is not removable--Personally, I don't mind as I don't have to worry about leaks as I have with other machines, but this could be an inconvenience for some. Secondly, there is a ring around the bottom of the carafe that retains water. This seems to be a design oversight and I worry this could mildew over time. It is, however, on the outside, so never in contact with your coffee, but it's the one flaw that made me second guess my purchase, even if only for a second.

Love this coffee maker. It is the best coffee maker we were able to find. Very modern and not cheap looking. Brews delicious coffee and is easy to clean. The digital clock has a nice looking display as well.

Great looking device. App is a bit convoluted but works decently once set up. It seems that the "hot plate" isn't actually a hot plate which isn't great because it'd be nice to reheat coffee. However, the carafe keeps coffee warm for a lot longer than expected. Speaking of the carafe, as others have mentioned, the pouring mechanism is poor. You have to tilt at a ridiculous angle to get the coffee out. This also makes draining excess water after clean a pain. On the topic of cleaning, there's no way to detach the water canister so you have to be/get creative with that. Overall, I like the machine would recommend if you want a beautiful and functional coffee maker. We'll see how it fairs in the long-run.

This thing makes fantastic, consistent coffee. I love getting it ready every night and having perfect coffee in the morning. Oh and it looks fantastic

Very nice coffee pot. Looks nice really nice but more importantly makes great coffee. Combined with freshly ground beans, you will have some great coffee. If your not used to how coffee should be it may seem strong at first. But trial and error you will find you balance. The machine is temp controlled and you can change it to what you like. I always leave it on gold and it comes out great every time. And the coffee pot is all stainless and sealed and will keep the coffee hot and fresh for a very long time. Also has rubber on the bottom so you can just set it anywhere.
