One of my biggest concerns with Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 what's the fact that they were removing the campaign. However have to plan the game for the last 48 hours, I see it is not needed. The game play mechanics and upgrades over Black Ops 3 or simply amazing. There is no wall running so it's more boots on the ground and I believe that pays homage to the Call of Duty Roots more than ever. there's so many different game modes so many different game styles that you always have stuff to do. Blackout wow, think of it as she but with a smooth frame rate. This is territory that I never thought Call of Duty sink its teeth in. But it was well worth the bite. You can literally spend hundreds of hours playing black out and not get tired of it. The level design and the occlusion of former maps from previous Call of Duty's all makes up the Battle Royale gigantic landscape. There was no new mechanics to learn because it felt just like Call of Duty from the past. Even joining a squad with random people who I've never met, I still enjoyed the experience. There was no Lone Wolf tactic, we worked as a team and it showed when we receive the victory. With the inclusion of zombies that just makes something for everybody. I've never been a fan of the zombie mode, but from what I've played so far it really shines. Each character that you encounter has a little story line. That brings depth to the people that you come across with in the game mode. Call of Duty Black Ops for refreshing breath of air into the series. Can't wait for the updates and DlC the further expand my experience with the game. Thank you Treyarch and Activision for delivering once again. This game is a must buy for any first-person shooter, Call of Duty fan, or gamer that just want to have fun or competitive like myself.

Chances are that if you are looking at this page, you have already made up your mind on the Call of Duty franchise. This new game is pretty much right at home with the rest of the series. The big changes this year is that there is no single player campaign mode, and in the multiplayer mode, you have no auto healing. The loss of a solo campaign isn't heart breaking for a lot of people. Most people never touched them and bought them for their online modes. And in all honesty, "Black Ops 3" and it's campaign made no sense and confused and frustrated me the entire way through. No auto healing, however, is a big enough change to shake up how the multiplayer feels and flows. The fact that you have to take the time to slow down and heal may not seem like a big change, but is in fact a huge change. You can no longer jump into a group of enemy's, take them all out, and then while you are running up to the next group, have all your health be replaced. Now, you really do have to take a second, find some cover and heal before you can go back out there and start taking people out. Now currently, there is a lot of issues but I expect with due time they should all be fixed. But like I said, if you are already on the page for the game, you have already made up your mind on the game and don't need a silly review on the BestBuy website to help change your thought. Honestly speaking, CoD has always been a guilty pleasure to me, and it will probably stay that way for time to come. Did you like other CoD games? Yes? You should like this one.

This is as good or better than call of duty black ops 2. I thought no campaign was going to be an issue. But honestly, I thought about it, most campaigns I played them 2 or 3 times max. This game has multiple game modes on multiplayer so the replay ability is endless. The weapons feel great, the maps are well designed, and the pick 10 customization is fantastic. Play how you want and what you want. I think treyarch did a great job on this game. You can see their experience with FPS and applied all the lessons they have learned from previous games. As a bonus they brought back multiple old maps which gives you time to focus on learning the new mechanics of self healing and getting a feel for the new weapons. Without to also have to learn the new maps at the same time. The special abilities for each class are a very interesting dynamic. It makes the game feel fresh and unique. My advice, get it if you miss the old call of duty. This is what I will be playing for a while!!!

Just another average Call of Duty game. The graphics are what you would expect for a 10-year old game. It's bad. No campaign. The game comes with Battle Royale, which is a copy of Fortnite's Battle Royale. In that case, you're better off saving your money and playing Fortnite. The multiplayer is OK, but it could be much better after improvements and updates are made. Unfortunately, it feels like we just bought a game that is still in beta. This is why nobody should pre-order a game until it is fully complete. All gaming companies need to delay the shipment if the game is not ready. Battlefield delayed the launch because the game was not ready. I respect that. Anyway, the zombies playlist is fun, but there's only one map so far and it gets extremely repetitive. Overall, this game is disappointing. I'm glad my expectations were lower this time. This game is worth about $25 in my opinion. This is the last Call of Duty game I will buy at a full price.

If you enjoyed the other COD's then go ahead and get this one. It's not their most groundbreaking work, but after 15 games they've set the bar pretty high and chances are you're just in it for the online game play. Had the game about two weeks and still like it. Online only and no campaign. No silly Halo-like wall-running or power-sliding like COD IW (up until now, I haven't seen any laser weapons). Great weapons with the normal attachments. They offer the most popular specialist classes and the most popular maps (with some new twists, of course). New and fun game modes with the popular classics. Battle Royale game mode is a knockoff of PUBG and Fortnite. Not a fan of Zombies, so cannot speak to that. So far, Black Market is very limited and Quartermaster/Contracts hasn't been pushed out, but that's normal for this soon after the release. Overall, I would recommend to those who are COD die hards.

If your into the far fetched, unrealistic, form of COD, then this will be right up your alley... otherwise, if your a fan of the Modern Warfare, WW2 versions, with mostly realistic gameplay, then you are absolutely going to hate this COD! This us such a very fast paced style of play... if you can't handle the run & gun style of play, then your a sitting duck in this version! Campers beware, you will be lucky to come out with a positive kill/death ratio... not that I would ever want anyone camping on my team anyways! Anyways, I am a big run & gun style player, but this takes it ti the ridiculous level! Way to easy to sit there with your team & camp the enemy's spawn site & never let the other team get past their spawning grounds! Only mode worth playing, is Control.. a new twist to gameplay that makes this version playable.

The last Call of duty games I played (Campaign and Multiplayer) were Modern Warfare 1, 2, and 3. I decided to pick this game up for two reasons: 1. It was on sale for $29.99 and 2. I really enjoy the Blackout Game Mode (Battle Royale Mode). It's so much fun to play. Especially with a squad. The other game modes are also fun (definitely enyoing TDM 100) and each class has a unique gadget that really changes the way a match can play out. The gunplay is awesome, weapon customization is great, the maps are fun, and the character movement feels great. No longer running on walls or boosting, back to basics of just sprinting and vaulting. They did decide to keep the sliding mechanic from more resent titles, which I'm okay with. All in all, I'd recommend picking this title up if you're interested and it goes on sale.

I've been playing Call of Duty titles for years, but I'm an old-school gamer that plays games to unwind and temporarily forget about the troubles of the day. COD started as a single player campaign shooter, which I absolutely loved. It was just you and a controller immersed in history while trying to save the free world. Over the years the games became more and more focused on multiplayer modes and the campaigns suffered from it. Now Activision has pulled the plug on the single player COD experience for a revamped version of Fortnite. I realize that this appears to be the trend in gaming and many people (kids) are fawning over the new COD, but if you're looking for a classic single player shooter you'll need to look elsewhere.

I found this to be quite a lackluster game. I received it "free" as a part of a bundle with a headset. Even though it was free, I found it not worth it and I certainly do not think it is worth full price. It does not have a single player campaign. Blackout is kind of cool and refreshing, however it crashes on my Xbox One X and has quit to the home screen every time I played it. Zombies has a new style to it, like an arena type game, and it is during the daytime. Does not seem worth 60 bucks when battle royale games are free or much much less than this. If this was consistently reliable and was priced at $20, I would give it a higher rating. Cons: Price Game crashes Lack of content and modes Short shelflife with new CoD games come out each year

A fresh take on the Call of Duty Franchise

One of the major changes in this installment is getting rid of the single player campaign to focus solely on multiplayer. This omission does not mean that there is no story content to be had. Both Zombies and Specialist Missions have stories and cutscenes. The biggest addition this year is a Battle Royale style gameplay mode called Blackout. This plays more similar to PUBG than it does to Fortnite. In my opinion this is the most enjoyable battle royale game out there due to Call of Duty's top notch shooting mechanics and level design. If you're into the base building mechanics of Fortnite, you will find that missing here. Overall, I think this is a streamlined and modern take on Call of Duty and one of the franchise's best installments.

No single player campaign, reused maps from previous black ops, and on disc locked DLC. It's a real shame because the game is so smooth and some added multiplayer modes are very fun. Control and heist were addicting and zombies was great. Blackout, battle royal mode, wasn't my cup of tea I enjoy PUBG more however I can see why some would love it. However, content for me felt light, there are 4 Zombie maps available at launch however you only get access to the 4th map "classified" if you purchase a season pass.... I thought the whole point of getting rid of single player was to offer more multiplayer content?! Best COD I've played in years, but light on content depending on your play style. This is a must have at $30 but not at $60.

I was extremely excited for the latest installment of Call of Duty as I’ve played the last three all the way through and loved the campaigns (even though most critics didn’t). So I was extremely disappointed to find out that not only does Call of Duty Black Ops 4 not have a campaign or story, but it requires a $9.99 monthly Xbox GamePass subscription to play and the zombie play is locked. This is unacceptable, all the front cover says is, “Internet Required to Play” - not, “GamePass”. I refuse to pay the subscription price and therefore haven’t played the actual game itself. I’ll likely trade it in for the latest Battlefield (which DOES have a campaign story) at GameStop. Ridiculous...

This iteration of COD is no different than its predecessors, it feels exactly how you expect a COD to feel and that's not necessarily a bad thing. The new flavor of the month, the Battle Royale mode, Blackout, is surprisingly a lot of fun and is currently my favorite aspect of the game. Zombies and Multiplayer are what you expect as well. My only gripe, is that I just wish it came with a traditional campaign. The campaigns were never the best but they were entertaining & on veteran gave a nice warm up before the MP chaos would ensue. Also should be noted, since this COD is effectively an online only game, you may want to simply get the digital copy rather than the physical.

Boots on the ground! I love this aspect...except in the Blackout mode, which is the shining star. Jumping in the Battle Royale genre with this polished, exciting entry. The flight into the action is smooth and fast, tight gun play. Inventory management is my only gripe. Zombies is back and better than what was included in WWII. Great maps, interesting dialogue, fun characters, and plenty of great gameplay mechanics. 3 zombies maps included with launch! Multiplayer is fast paced but not the most enticing part of the game. Boots on the ground, but still more fast paced. I miss "War" mode from WWII, but still a decent experience. The special moves can be a tad annoying, but that's comes with the Black Ops territory.

If I would have paid full price for it I would have been mad. Besides not having campaign, most of the regular maps that come once you buy it are just recycled from previous black ops. The other maps are unnecessary large for some reason, you can do laps and not see anyone. Having a ghost perk doesn’t work as well as in previous games. You have to be constantly running which you would think people would not camp but you’d be wrong. Campers and mods are everywhere, you just die quicker. Overall is a fun game if you are paying the 20-30 price, if you paid the 60 you got suckered.

If you don't have some ridiculous fast internet download speed don't even bother to purchase this game. Right out of the box I inserted the disk which I would've assumed should contain a complete game, nope 72GB download, so 30 some hours of downloading later I was able to play the game. Now two days later as I'm writing this review another 14GB update, looks like I'm not playing it till after work tomorrow. The lack of campaign doesn't bother me at all as I haven't played one in years, but this unnecessary downloading of content in ridiculous sizes is frustrating and makes the game unplayable for large points of the time.

The last few years I have taken a break from Call of Duty. Their games were more of the same and the gameplay was really broken in Advanced and Infinity Warfare in my opinion. Last years WWII was a stand out for sure and I really enjoyed that one but Black Ops 4 bring a refined and targeted gameplay to it. There are some issues arising since launch but nothing that won't be sorted out server side or in a patch. Plus theres Blackout!! My squad and I have become PUBG addicts but on Xbox it looks like a 360 game and runs horribly. That's not the case with Blackout! Blackout looks good, runs at 60fps and has COD's polished gun play. I would have paid 60 bucks just for Blackout!!!

COD games are pretty typical at this point and this game isn’t much different, especially the main multiplayer and zombies. Though I will say the theme of zombies this time around is very fun with the God powers which I really like. Blackout is fun though I personally did it to get a bit boring after a bit but perhaps that’s just after fatigue of playing so many of the others and this one just coming in last. The most negative....we’ll of course Activisions nickle & diming tactics that have forced in game grinding to make you want to just purchase upgrades instead of earn them in game. Like paying $.99 for a red dot. Ridiculous!!!!

This is a follow up to my first review. I have been playing for a while and this thing is just off the hook...Its almost a little too fun, because its so intense. To be fair, all I've been doing is BLACKOUT (Like Fortnite sort of) You can't camp during black out, at least not that I am aware of yet. You can get the jump on folks and sneak up on them, but during this part of the game, there is not resting. you are either running or shooting..Its fantastic and your brain never stops calculating the best plan of action. The motion of the game is pure poetry and fluid. Sliding in to a room while shooting is CRAAAAZY...BUY IT!!!

Black Ops 4 takes a little getting used to compared to previous editions of Call of Duty, but once you get used to the longer time to kill and a few other things, it is very enjoyable. The game doesn't come with a story mode and that is fine with me. You essentially get 3 games for the price of one. Multiplayer, Blackout Battle Royale and Zombies which I never play so I am unable to comment on it. Blackout and Multiplayer are a lot of fun, but you still have to deal with the typical "campers" in the game which is by far the most annoying part, but what can we do, right? I highly recommend this game!
