Average game - graphics not good

Just another average Call of Duty game. The graphics are what you would expect for a 10-year old game. It's bad. No campaign. The game comes with Battle Royale, which is a copy of Fortnite's Battle Royale. In that case, you're better off saving your money and playing Fortnite. The multiplayer is OK, but it could be much better after improvements and updates are made. Unfortunately, it feels like we just bought a game that is still in beta. This is why nobody should pre-order a game until it is fully complete. All gaming companies need to delay the shipment if the game is not ready. Battlefield delayed the launch because the game was not ready. I respect that. Anyway, the zombies playlist is fun, but there's only one map so far and it gets extremely repetitive. Overall, this game is disappointing. I'm glad my expectations were lower this time. This game is worth about $25 in my opinion. This is the last Call of Duty game I will buy at a full price.

No single player campaign, reused maps from previous black ops, and on disc locked DLC. It's a real shame because the game is so smooth and some added multiplayer modes are very fun. Control and heist were addicting and zombies was great. Blackout, battle royal mode, wasn't my cup of tea I enjoy PUBG more however I can see why some would love it. However, content for me felt light, there are 4 Zombie maps available at launch however you only get access to the 4th map "classified" if you purchase a season pass.... I thought the whole point of getting rid of single player was to offer more multiplayer content?! Best COD I've played in years, but light on content depending on your play style. This is a must have at $30 but not at $60.

If I would have paid full price for it I would have been mad. Besides not having campaign, most of the regular maps that come once you buy it are just recycled from previous black ops. The other maps are unnecessary large for some reason, you can do laps and not see anyone. Having a ghost perk doesn’t work as well as in previous games. You have to be constantly running which you would think people would not camp but you’d be wrong. Campers and mods are everywhere, you just die quicker. Overall is a fun game if you are paying the 20-30 price, if you paid the 60 you got suckered.

Are you also tired of the same old COD multiplayer mode with small maps and getting repeatedly killed after you spawn? If so then you'll hate this COD clone. The ONLY great thing about this game is Blackout mode which is CODs version of a Battle Royal mode. I honestly love how fast paced it can be. The map for this mode is massive. The downside is it had server issues and will freeze and lag during high gameplay traffic days like Friday-Sunday. Slitscreen is possible but that's when I've had it glitch the most. Hopefully it gets fixed but so far weeks after its release it hasn't gotten better.

Should have researched game before buying, but didn’t think I needed to. It’s Black Ops and all prior releases had campaign mode. NOPE, not this one. Although I was pleasantly surprised. The multiplayer game modes and new specialist upgrades make multiplayer and duos with a friend very entertaining I’m not a Zombies fan but heard that’s loaded with great gameplay as well. One very annoying character movement is “sliding” everyone is sliding everywhere and it’s out of control. Plus, there’s no prone position, only kneeling. Not worth $60 wait for game to go on sale.

There is no single player campaign which is a giant let down, the multiplayer is as broken as ever with bad hit confirm and bad servers, and the battle royale mode is fun with friends but frustrating alone. I'm not a big zombies fan but I can see that mode has gotten a lot of improvements though. It's really a middle of the road game. If you want a multiplayer only game with specialist characters and better feel overall, buy rainbow six siege. If you wanna turn your brain off for awhile and just let flashing lights hit your eyes, buy this game.

the game to me is whatever i can get past the part theres no story what bothers me is it feel like any other call of duty except they replaced a story with blackout mode considering its all multiplayer i think they should of added more, customize your character would of been a big one heck i hate halo but even there they made it where you some how get parts to make your own spartan guy thats just an example of what i mean, also another big thing that bugs the heck out of me ALOT why are the guns fake it takes away from the immersion so much.

I was glad I purchased when it was on sale during Black Friday. Newer call of duty, but only half the game. Battle royal is not for me. I played campaign on past ones and enjoy the time spent. I knew this one didn’t have campaign so waited for sale. Don’t play often anymore. It was fun and filled the gap. However got boring quick. Pros: Boots on the ground, Newest Duty Cons: No campaign, Limited new maps, Camping promoting (barricades and barb wire, really?)

First, the graphics and gameplay for Black Ops 4 are awesome. I have nothing bad to say there. However, I was very disappointed to learn that there is no longer a campaign mode for solo play. All of these games are moving to online gameplay because it provides more opportunity for revenue to the developers. I miss the good old days where offline gameplay was the challenge and fun. I still recommend the game, but be prepared to pay for all the online services to really enjoy it.

The game had to download a whole bunch that it took me nearly 30 minutes to start playing. You can't even play with a second player locally until you actually play the game and unlock achievements. Why?? It has new great maps and new gadgets but over all I wish they would bring back the old MW3 map packs and put them here upgraded in quality. I still have no idea if this game even has a story game to play.........Need to look for it since everything was locked from the start..

Altough a very fun game to play, it’s not as great as I had expected. I grew up on the old call of duties where it was beauty in simplicity. Not zombies & multiplayer are trying to do too much. Blackout, the battle royal style and savior of the game is very addicting and great to play. The only problem is the reward system. Which is confusing at first. You’ll soon release you’ll either have to devote the majority of your free time or shell out more money to unlike anything exciting.

No campaign, zombies are very different from the usual Treyarch offering, I'm personally not a fan of the changes they made. Multiplayer is pretty much what you expect from CoD at this point. No real changes, same old same old. There is a healing system now, but it effectively makes no real difference as it's simply a button to activate healing instead of automatic. Blackout is awesome, but I personally would find it hard to recommend this $60 game for one small mode.

It's amazing how they get me to keep buying these games every year... Black Ops 4 is literally a reboot of Black Ops 3 -- same Multiplayer maps, mostly the same characters with a couple new ones, and mostly the same weapons. They scrapped "Story Mode" or 1-player for a Fortnite-like "Blackout" mode, which I must admit is very fun, but hardly original. I ended up getting the game for half off during the holidays and I'm glad I didn't pay any more for it.

Fortnite Imitation is Fun, Lacks Character

While I enjoy playing the multiplayer modes in Call of Duty, I always look forward to the campaign mode in previous versions (and this one); this version does not have it. The Fortnite imitation is fun, more so with friends as you can play in groups (duos or quads). But the game overall lacks a certain character, like past games had (WWII being most recent). This COD is only a must-buy if your friends want you to play it with them

I wanted to love this game; I really did. The thing is, I don't know who their audience is anymore. I liked advanced movement games & thought the added axis gave players the opportunity to reach an elite level of play with enough practice. This game offers less experienced players cheap kills in multiplayer and only serves to frustrate more experienced players who wanted the game to reward skilled gun play.

You can tell that this game went through a massive redesign mid-development and was rushed out this year. There are massive bugs with the audio and stability of the game. Mid-match crashes happen multiple times daily. Balancing in multi-player is pretty awful and the net code encourages players to create bad connections for an advantage. Blackout is fun, but the directional awful is embarrassingly bad for a AAA title.

After being out of the COD world for a long time, I decided to purchase this one in the hopes that the gameplay had changed from its previous predecessors. I really couldn't tell the difference in play style...it really is the same game since the first one. All that changes are the weapons, story, and a few abilities here and there. I'm glad I didn't spend money on these games all these past few years.

I was looking forward to this COD release expecting clever tactics and new weapons that are Black Op's MO. I was disappointed to find out there was know campaign. That is the way we are usually introduced to weapons and ways to use them. Instead I felt thrust into multiplayer battle to learn the ropes. The maps that aren't from previous COD games are complex and spacious enough to keep it fresh.

If you like the fast pace action and the ability to just pick a controller and play an FPS and go to town in team death match or other team based games then this is for you. Zombies game mode was okay as well. Blackout was not as good as advertised. Clunky and hard to figure out what attachments went with what guns and how effective they were. All around an average game, not worth the $60

I'm the type of person that only plays video games about 2 to 3 hours a week, sometimes less so I don't put enough time to be able to compete with people online. I spend most of my time on Zombies which is almost the only reason why I tried it out. It's an awesome game if you are good at it, otherwise it's constantly frustrating. All depends on your gaming preferences.
