    Looks Good For Treyarch

    Posted .

Personally I'm looking forward to this game. I know I'm probably one of the idiots looking to get this Prestige Edition but I'm also one of the idiots who bought the MW2 P.E. And yes I use the goggles a lot. But come on who doesnt want an rc car with a spy cam and fake c4 attached to it? Even as a static display it looks awesome. As for the gme play trailers etc it looks like they stepped it up a notch on graphics. I personally want a WAW fan but I did like COD3 on the PS2. I however got sick of playing WWII games and went to IW MW and MW2 and loved modern day warfare. But now someone had the guts to tackle making a game based on the Vietnam war, and as a history fan I'm glad to see this important but bloody and devistating war is brought into a media such as video gaming. Whats nice is Zombie mode has ben confirmed.

    Pretty Tight!

    Posted .

To be honest, I was never really into any of the Call of Duty games and my buddy got me into MW2. So i said what the hell and ill get this and got the prestige edition to get the rc car. The RC car is pretty cool. Video quality kinda bad but still cool! I really enjoy the Zombies thing and campaign is pretty fun. Multiplayer is really glitchy at the moment but will probably get good soon!

    Great game!

I really enjoy playing black ops....the maps in the game are pretty good and the way you get 'paid' and use the money to buy weapons is a good concept as well. Like any game, there are a couple things about it that could be corrected....mainly the re-spawn points and the hosts arent chosen very well. Overall, the game is good and I would recommend it.

    Great 1st Person Shooter

    Posted .

COD: Black Ops is a very good 1st person shooter. The campaign game play was a lot of fun and had a nice twist in the end. The multi-player game play is even better. It's interesting to see how everyone chooses to spend their COD dollars for weapons and upgrades. The Zombie levels in the Pentagon are also fun (must finish campaign to unlock). There are a few glitches that people still exploit but besides that, the game is very entertaining. You will find that quick scoping is not the same as the last COD. It has become more realistic and requires you to be scoped in for about 2 seconds to achieve an accurate shot. If you play quick scope before, then this will probably not be to your liking. I also enjoyed playing with the RC-XD around the house. INavigating via the small screen took some getting use to but was a nice challenge. There is some feedback on the microphone when the two units are too close. Since the kids play with it often, I opted for the $5 coverage for replacement of any damage. So far no issue or complaints. Battery life is as expected and dependent on the amount of use. Overall a great value not only as a game but also the entertainment value and joy seen on my kids faces as they play with the RC-XD.

Unlike any other Call of Duty

    Posted .

This game is unlike any other Call of Duty you've ever played, in the sense that it takes two steps back for the franchise. if you enjoy the enemy spawning behind you in multiplayer this is the game for you! the game it's self is decent, storyline was decent to if your into puzzles. SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER* the story reminds me of shutter island, you think your the good guy in this but really your the just crazy one. i will say in some of the campaign missions there were things you didn't need to do but they make you do it anyways. like for instance starting up an sr-71, the scene is you get into an sr-71 Blackbird and once inside you must start the engine by pressing your RT button. then you are told to press back on your LS to lift off. that's it no steering of any sort or any other feature to the scene. personally a video clip would do way more for me. another issue i have with Call of Duty Black Ops is the disc its self. My xbox 360 elite is old and so some problems i can expect from it, that being said i have been known to leave one disc in its trey for months because of how much i enjoy the game. i have never, never had an issue with a disc not being readable just acting like there's no disc in the tray when i haven't removed it or anything. also i have downloaded and installed the game to my xbox so my xbox could run faster, i found it really odd that when i fanally get my xbox to recognize the disc it can't load because of an error. my disc is clean and flawless so i really don't know how this is happening because i can load up a MW2 disc all day and have no problems. another noteworthy thing to add about the disc, sometimes when i start up my xbox and Call of Duty Black Ops is in the tray my xbox will be stuck on the load up screen and it shows me that i sign into xbl and i have friends online it's only when i open the tray or restart the console it loads properly and again this problem only start when i started playing Call of Duty Black Ops. other then that the game is interesting they did fix networking issues with joining into a multiplayer game with your friends, creating your own emblem is fun and interesting, wager matches are the best, being able to buy your load outs instead is kinda similar to earning them one by one once you unlock the gun you can buy any attachment for it thats really the only better part about it, bullet detection in the game is a joke on a final kill cam you will see that when the game says you've killed the guy so it stops your gun the guy you killed is still shooting even though the game has ended and its not like a im dying so ill just pull my trigger its a im still aim down my sights and aiming, and thats pretty much it i hope someone found this useful.

    Great overall...BUT

    Posted .

This game is everything expected and then some. Treyarch took all the problems of World at War and improved then ten fold. The graphics are amazing, vocal cast is top notch, and the overall feel is well put together. Although they have it as based in a specific time in history they still managed to make it feel modern in some aspects. Now although it is very polished overall, there are still some sense of "this could have been better." Certain parts of the game feel a little rushed but overall the flow and story is top notch. All I can hope for is that Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 3 which is going to be made by Infinity Ward(set to be released in 2011) does not fall short. On to the Prestige Edition, all the included bonuses were complete in full working order. RC-XD car does not feel cheaply made, heavy duty but not intended for extreme use. The Black Ops commendation medal feels like the medals that myself, my father, my mother, and my sister have and had received our military service. Thrilled with the purchase as always.

Awesome game 5 stars, rc not so good.

    Posted .

Call of Duty Black Ops is a great game with great graphics and a single player story you don't want to end. The multi player speaks for itself if your familiar with the Call of Duty franchise. The only reason i don't give the Prestige edition of this game 5 stars is the rc car could've been much better. The biggest suck thing about the rc car is that it takes six double A batteries, just for the transmitter, and then six more for the rc. That's crazy and a slap in the face in my opinion for getting the premium collector package. All in all, the camera is cool and it is wireless but the quality is pretty bad running with the resolution at 220x176. You can see what your looking at in good light and if it's not moving too fast but that's about it. The range says 200 feet but i have been lucky to get 60 feet away with mine. So other then the rc car not being a little nicer, the package isn't like your getting totally ripped off but i think a little more quality could've been put into it. I would recommend just buying the game if you don't already ave it by now.

Great Game. Evolution of COD has peaked!

    Posted .

This game is fantastic. The most customizable in-game options of all the COD games. Prestige edition comes with a remote control toy with camera and sound. On your remote control, you can view the camera and hear anything the "car" is near. It is neat to use since it is similar as the in-game remote control detonator. You also get avatar items with this edition. It's ok. Nothing special. You get in-game zombie maps which are not included in the standard edition. The value is ok. Since you will be playing a lot of COD. It's still well worth the price compared to the amount of time you'll be playing the game and enjoying the rc unit.

    COD Black Ops

The Graphics Have A Rich, Realistic Texture The Campaign And Multi-Player Really Show It, Although The Multi-Player Campaign Has Slight Glitches. Aside From That, Being A Fan Of All Call Of Duty Games, This One Is In The Top Spot. Modern Warfare 2 Runs A Close Second. P.S. For Those Who Are Game Heads; I Would Like To Recommend Getting A Pair Of Gunnar Glasses. They Reduce Glare And Eye Sores

    Great game

Game play is Great but the batteries die fast in the remote control car so if your lucky you will get about ten min. run time. Even on rechargable batteries. Other than that the video quality is pretty good and the sound is good too. Really not worth it unless you are going to put it on display or re-sell.

Great game, good story line. The game has not left my XBOX .The RC-XD Video Surveillance Vehicle is an RC vehicle modeled is so cool. But, it does take a lot of batters. The RC-XD Transmitter is a custom pistol grip-style RC controller with a 2" backlit TFT 220 x 176 color screen and integrated speaker to receive and monitor video and audio surveillance from the car. The color screen is so cool.

Was surprised that the rc-xD and the controller took 12 aaa batteries! The car kept shutting off whenever it hit a wall. Would not get this, but would recommend the Hardened edition instead.
