Great new game modes. Online play seems difficult at times due to server limitations.

The online play is completely different from previous COD games. It is much more difficult because their are 3 different tiers to play from so you can practically be shot at from all angles. I haven't played the campaign much but its not very realistic because you are shooting weapons in outer space. This would require oxygen which obviously doesn't exist.

Another awesome game for all the Call of Duty fans. It's a great game it's fun to play I don't have too many hours on it. I'm only played it in single player mode so far it's been a good game as all the others Call of Duty. I haven't played anybody online with it yet so I cannot make a comment about that. I just kinda wish they would update some of the older versions The First Call of Duty's they came out with for the PlayStation 4. I'm not into the real high-tech games with a hundred different options for all the weapons and gadgets you can add to your player then it just makes it a little too complicated. I guess just call me old fashion. Even though I do own all of the Call of Duty games out there except for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 I didn't like it. I like more the old fashion games with realistic guns and ammo camouflage bullet proof vest and the same way as a realistic normal every day person would function. I guess being 50 years old I like a more realistic down-to-earth shooter version game . I'm not 16 years old 18 or 15 that wants all that extra fancy equipment. It's an awesome game to play if you're into all the futuristic technology that is not out yet. Just give me my 45 my machine gun a sniper rifle and let me go kill some enemies. LOL

The game looks great but gameplay...

The game visually looks great without a doubt and the new maps aren't to bad. Also there are elements of multiplayer like being able to slide and the more dynamic environment is pretty fun. The option to customize the character isn't to bad if you can figure out how to work it. After that its pretty much downhill. First off there are so many fun game modes that were taken out like CTF, demolition, and all the party games like gun game are out. The new prestige system is kinda ridiculolus to, who really wants to Prestige 100 times? Also a lot of items are gone or changed like the portable radar, semtex, and bouncing betty. Lets not forget that it is much easier for people to camp even though a lot of these things are gone. Strike packages have also shrunk which is annoying especially specialist but thats due to the game having 30 perks. Really are 30 perks necessary? I don't know about anyone else but I think that Infinity Ward should've made something similar to MW3. Also MOABs are called KEM strikes now and any camper can get them by picking up a field order that just requires you to get 1 melee kill or a headshot or 3 non killstreak kills or something else which leads to them getting a care package that more often than not contains a KEM strike. This game is a huge letdown in terms of gameplay. Why Infinity Ward messed up what it was doing right and add more stuff that makes the game worse is a mystery to me. If you are thinking about buying a first person shooter for your new console I recommend Battlefield 4 which is very similar to its older games and has new additions that make it extremely fun and it is just as visually appealing as Call of Duty: Ghosts.

By far the worst Multi-Player of the COD Series

The basis of my review is in comparison to the MW series. As a dedicated fan to that multi-player, I used that series as a benchmark in comparison to Ghosts. What I was hoping that IW working with a new slate, would come up with something new and fresh for the series. This is how I felt after less than a week of playing both the campaign and multi-player. GOOD I'll start with what I do like about the game, which isn't much. On the PS4, the graphics do look sharp. I can't make comparisons to how it looks on PS3 or 360. But from what I've seen, I do think it's a good looking game. As far as next generation console graphics, I can't make a comparison to other games just yet. But I feel the overall look of the game is really great. The campaign isn't what I imagined, far from it actually. Although different, it was new and enjoyable. If you think the storyline for MW was far-fetched, Ghosts takes outrageousness to a whole other level. Like all other COD campaigns, this one was of course short and sweet. It's like the food or candy that you love to eat, but you're not wowed by it anymore. I do love the new weapons, and small quirks (the ability to jump above stacked platforms and the run and slide) which of course you'll be able to do in multi-player as well. Asides from these highlights, there'sn't much else about the game to revere. BAD I can't begin to tell you how much the feel of the gameplay of this installment feels in comparison to MW1, 2, and 3. There's little nuances that makes it feel something familiar and completely odd and new at the same time. I'm not just talking about the new weapon mods, killstreaks, perks, etc. Drawing your weapon to reaction time of shooting your enemy first feels way off compared to MW. To me it's night and day. I don't enjoy the pace of the game this way and it makes it so frustrating to play. The layout of the maps also are a big negative. Depending on which map you play, some more than others, players/teams can benefit from taking a stance in a certain area to pin-down the other team. @@@@@@@@ Mostly by snipers and other campers lurking in small confined areas that are difficult to take on unless you have a group of people that go with you in force). In theory, these maps are strategic for clan type play which in that case, would be ideal. But c'mon, 90% of the people who play COD, don't play in organized teams/clans. IW, should realize that and stop making maps with so many blindspots where people can camp all day. There are many other things I could talk about this game, but I'll say this last as my biggest peeve. The parity of low-ranking players versus highly ranked player in regards to killstreaks and mods is the largest disparity I've ever seen in the COD series. If you're high up your ranking and unlocked almost anything and everything, you have a supreme advantage against low-level players. While I understand that these same players also had to go through the same rigors, it makes it incredibly unpleasant to be killed 10 different ways in a game. It's become overkill to the point of it being comedic. I really miss the days of MW1 and the simple killstreak perks. CONCLUSION I've had this game for less than a week, and I've decided to trade it in for something else (not BF4). I've MW1-3 and Black Ops 1 and have never felt any animosity towards those titles in regards to multi-player. This will most likely be my final COD purchase ever. They had a great run as the front-runner of console FPS, but like many things in life, good things come to an end. And for COD, there time has come and gone.
