    COD-Formula Gameplay

I purchased COD Ghosts for $5 during the Holidays. I completed the campaign in about 8-10 hours total, playing about 1-2 hours in the evening after work over a week. The campaign follows the usual COD formula. The story line is decent, taking you from the depths of the ocean to outer space. Most missions were fun to play, but the prologue was a little slow to start and a few missions were a little repetitive. I got stuck on one mission driving around an air field in a tank looking for the last satellite dish to take out. I did enjoy the missions playing as Riley the German Shepard military dog. I played the Extinction alien mode for about 15-20 minutes, but did not get into the rabid-dog-type horde game play. I did not play the multiplayer. As an older COD title, I would not pay more than $10-15 new. Hopefully, Best Buy will bring back the -$5 price tag again. I would recommend for COD fans.

    Pretty disappointing

Whenever I get a new COD game I always start out with the campaign mode but the story in this game falls really short compared to past games. Its almost totally uninteresting going through the story. On top of the sub par campaign, the multi player doesnt really deliver either. The weapon selection is just bad and now the guard dog kill streak has taken the place of the ridiculous range of the knife attack. If bullets dont kill you with one hit, why should a knife or dog? Finally, the maps are way too big for the amount of players now that there is no longer the ground war game mode and not to mention they are incredibly busy and much harder to navigate around than previous games. Other than the graphics being great, there isnt much more to keep it in contention with the new Battlefield. I think the COD franchise has run its course and I'll be purchasing Battlefield for the first time after being completely disappointed in the latest COD

ok.1st I will say I love call of duty.i like battlefield 4.yes.but im more run and gun.i don't camp,i don't play weak,if you u know what I mean! so when ghost came out I said hey, it wont be bad.i knew it wouldn't be a better so called new cod.but when I played at first i was so mad.the maps have to many doors too many openings and the layouts are just bad, the reason I say the maps are bad is because.they way they are built, u get killed from behind 60% of the time.the other 40% you get killed by a guy/girl camping.then thinking about after you get over the camping and getting killed fast from behind.next you still have to deal with the horrid spawning system.they spawn an enemy right behind u and vice versa.i am a really good player on psn.every cod I play im always ranked high with a good k/d ratio.but in ghost im below 1.0.because of these bad maps and spawns.also this game is slowly but surely getting to be more and more like battlefield.the maps are way to big.sad to say I hate this game.but since I paid 60$ I will play it to get my moneys worth.now if you are reading this and have yet to buy this game, I say if u can get it new for 30$ or less go for it.but if not.pass.im starting to get frustrated with this series.

If you've played one COD, you've played them all. Sure, newer entries have upped the speed and gadgets. BLOPS 4 went so far as to abandon campaign in favor of an online only experience. However, the core experience that was established in COD 4 is present in this game, just as it is in the newer entries. COD is the gruel of the gaming world; neither good nor bad, but still provides much needed sustenance.

Call of Duty: Ghosts was promoted as a game with a story that will make you care about the characters, especially your canine ally. Unfortunately, what we got was a cookie-cutter Call of Duty without the memorable characters or moments of the Modern Warfare games. On top of that, without going into detail, the story doesn't wrap up in a way that respects the player's time. This is recommended only at a low price or for big Call of Duty fans who ache for another taste of classic Call of Duty gameplay.

Keep in mind this is my input. You may disagree. So purchased this game during the midnight release of the PS4 because there weren't any other games which caught my attention. Have never had a call of duty game EVER so from what I kept hearing, I thought this would be an AMAZING game. I have to say it was Pretty cool but not amazing as everyone claimed it to be. I was able to complete the campaign in less then a week with settings set to the hardest. Didn't really care much for the online play. Got boring real quick for me.

I said I wasn't going to buy it. I watched youtube videos of multiplayer on my IPAD and literally feel asleep (I'm not kidding). My brother in law said it was the same game as always but seemed to play it all the time so I bought it when it dropped to $39.99. I usually don't play the single player game but I found myself playing and enjoying it more than the multiplayer. Wait till you can get it for $20 -$30. There definitely aren't enough changes or improvements to make it a $60 game, even on next generation consoles.

If you're a longtime CoD fan, then yeah, go and buy it. It's as average as CoD games go though. Nothing really unique or anything to really set it apart. With that said, CoD has honed its craft over the years so if you like CoD, you'll like this game. If you don't then this will just be another CoD game without any real noticeable upgrades or improvements...with the exception of the upgraded graphics from current generation consoles.

Campaign is 4 of 5 stars. Multi player is 3 of 5 stars. Extinction mode is 5 of 5 stars. Campaign is pretty good. Storyline is little confusing if u dont pay much attention to it. Multi player has ingame lag in alot of matches compared to black ops 2 and not liking the ground sat com perk. Do like the customizable charcters though alot compared to older titles. Extinction mode is awesome. Love the options you can pick and playability.

Great game, but not at the moment. I've been a Call of Duty fanatic since COD4: Modern Warfare, but since Ghosts was released, I haven't really played it that often. The reason is because, it feels like any other Call of Duty game out there. Don't get me wrong, it IS a fun game, but the COD franchise can only surprise us so much before it turns into another game on the shelf.

This game if compared to priors of the same series would get a horrible score, but if you compare it to killzone, then you won't be that much let down. You shoot people, move, shoot more people. Its multiplayer has a lot of bugs and isn't much fun to play. It doesn't bring much new to the console and doesn't stand very well on its own. It'll be on sale before ya know it.

Its a good game but with the huge open maps of BF4 its hard to get very excited about. They need to make it less of a "twitch" shooter and make it where there is more strategy in play. It always feels like your in a rat maze being funneled into a choke point where multiple campers are waiting to shoot the next group of rats that will undoubtedly be coming through.

The game has an average story and didn't really pay too much attention to the characters. The multiplayer maps were not the best and too much running around in huge maps. Some maps were good, but get tired of it very fast. I would prefer other Call of Duty series instead. Overall, the game is solid and the story need to be longer.

I've gotten kind of tired of the COD games, I thought the story of this was very excellent and the game play was in fact more challenging. The alien game play on it was a welcomed add on I enjoy playing online. If you buy this you know what you are getting especially if you have played previous COD games.

This game is not that great if we compare it to the Black Ops series... But if you like fast paced games then this is your only option... Leveling up takes days... Like I said before it seems like the same game from 2 years ago but I learned my lesson... I won't be buying any COD game that comes from infinity ward...

It's a good shooter which is displayed in full 1080P and the mult-iplayer mode called Extinction is a blast but the shortfall of Call of Duty Ghosts is the fact that the single player campaign is too short. The game left me wanting more from the single player aspect. All in all, it's a solid shooter for the PS4.

I bought this for my 12 yr old son and was concerned it would not be appropriate for his age after reading reviews and watching demos I decided to give it a try My husband watched my son play to ensure it was not to graffic and the game turned out to be ok and we allowed him to keep it

I enjoy this fast action game. Newer maps, some larger, some smaller. Online gaming still lags realistic points. I can't stand it when I shoot someone several times and they fire one time to kill me. Then the replay shows him shooting several rounds and me not shooting at all. Wish that would be fixed.

I picked this game up around the holidays so I got it for $8. Definitely worth $8. That being said this was one of the first games released for the next gen consoles and does reflect that graphically. Also one of the few games to allow split screen co-op play so thumbs up for that.

Probably the least favorite COD game of them all. Game play was fun but dull story line. However, most care about the online and it so so as well. The levels are amazing and very detailed on the ps4 but find the overall game play gets old quickly. Still one of the better game for the next gen.
