My daughter begged me for this game. She plays it on a daily basis.

Hey... It's call of duty :) This is both good and bad. Good because it hasn't changed much and it's the same game you've loved for the past several years, bad because, well, the same reason. If you're growing tired of it this may push you over the edge. That being said, if you're a fan of COD then this will keep you entertained. I don't know if I'm finally getting tired of playing this or if this iteration is a step back. Either way, I'm still playing it constantly but I feel like I enjoyed black ops 2 better for some reason. I always felt infinity ward made the better product as opposed to treyarch up until black ops 2 and now ghosts. The change to aliens from zombies is a nice change of pace. It's almost two months in and I haven't played the storyline yet. Long story short, if you like COD there shouldn't be any reason you don't like this.

I am not much of a campaign player, preferring instead to play online almost exclusively. The online game is more challenging that previous versions, but that is a plus for me. The graphics are good and the flow of the game is pretty fluid. There are a variety of maps, with some of the maps being pretty large (very good if you like to be a sniper, like I do). Running and gunning is a bit harder on this game, meaning that you may need to be a little more tactical in your approach, especially on the small maps. I like that you can customize your character, and create a whole squad if you so choose. One thing that was a draw back for me buying it from Best Buy is that you cannot get the Ghost mask. It was available with preorder from Gamestop, but Best Buy did offer the Free Fall map, plus double exp points on the opening weekend. Regardless, I love the game.

I want to first get out of the way and say that I do not play any multiplayer and if that is your aim in a review then this one is not going to help you because I just don't care about the multiplayer experience. The Single-Player while on the short side is clearly well done. The novelty of the dogs is annoying at worst, and innovative at best so it really falls somewhere in the middle. Really In would continue to pay 15-20 dollars each year for the 4-8 hour campaign just because they are clearly well thought out, but just with the limitations that they are clearly put under to put one out a year and the focus being on multiplayer is just sad and unfortunate. It's better than Call of Duty Black Ops, but not nearly as good as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
