This game was one of the original modern first person shooter games and is a timeless classic you can play over and over again.

I bought this again with the recent announcement of the new Modern Warfare. I owned it previously when release and lost interest for a bit, but I got nostalgic for some CoD4. It has one of my favorite campaigns ever, I've played through maybe 25 times? Multi-player is fun and engaging though the streak spam is real. But that's how it was back in the day so all good. A nice remaster and worth it when on sale.

If you liked the original Call of Duty 4, then you will absolutely love the remastered version of the game! I personally play the game on the Xbox One X and it runs so smoothly it looks like a brand new game! The graphics are amazing and even 11 years later the story still has huge replayability!

I became a fan of Call of Duty after playing the WW2 edition. bought this when it came as a deal of the day so was excited. May be I expected this one to contain the quality of graphics that WW2 had but I was wrong, not totally. But graphics are at par, not high and rival AI is not that good, but love playing since am a fan of single-player shooter and campaigns.

This has to be one of the best Call of Duty games which has been re-mastered for current-gen consoles which results in much better graphics and sound which were good to begin with. Get ready for a ride that you won't forget!

I was hoping to relive those great Modern Warfare memories, but they should remain memories. There is nothing wrong with the game itself, it is the greed surrounding it that has completely tainted my experience. The game is the same old thing just touched up, which is good but underwhelming. The first major problem is for a remaster, and I assume definitive version of the game, you only get the core of the original for multiplayer. None of the additional maps are included.. BUT WAIT, you can still buy them for full price like a decade ago. The second biggest aggravation, and the one that pushed me over the edge is, IT STILL REQUIRES A 70 GB MANDATORY DOWNLOAD in addition to installing the game!!!! Why do you ask? So they can add a MULTIPLAYER CASH GRAB hub where you can spend more of your money on crates. It is literally just as if they peeled the xbox360/PS3 stickers off of the discs, resold them to you, and you digitally download the new version of the game! This game takes more space on your hard drive than any AAA game released to date.

If you played the 360 version of the game, do yourself a favor and pick up this version. The updated graphics with the cinematics and gameplay speaks for itself. Be ready to rage on Veteran difficulty on campaign all over again.

I owned the original MW on the 360 around 10 years ago and probably wasted months of my life playing it. Just got the XBOX One and decided I would give it a go. It is just as fun as it was years ago and the graphics are improved.
