To be honest I did not buy this game when it came out because I thought it wouldn't live up to the expectations most Call of duty fans want out of these first person shooter games. However, after finishing the campaign & playing online a little bit the best word to describe this installment into the franchise is awesome. For the most point the story was on point and historical. The graphics of this game are amazing! (I am playing on the pro with a 4k btw.) The multiplayer is alot better now in a way; I mean I miss the futurics stuff from black ops 2 but I agree over the years the online play has felt more repetitive. In this game though its actually fun to get a squad together or just play solo. I haven't played the zombie mode yet but I intend to.

    Terrible. Camp Central

If you thought camping was bad before wait till you play this. It's downright terrible the endless possibilities waiting around for kills, not to mention the refined art of spawn camping. Easiest kills is just waiting for them to spawn back up or them waiting for you. You can kill or be killed at least 5 times in a 10 second period. Probably the smallest and most simplistic maps ever created in COD history. I certainly thought jumping and flying over stayed it's welcome but I sure do miss it after this year's edition. 3 days...and I traded it in. Certainly there's lots of people who will defend this due to franchise loyalty... do some of us of favor and let the realist take some real advice. STAY AWAY! Total disappointment. 2 stars just because COD has delivered in the past.

I have always loved the Call of Duty franchise, but I felt like they were veering away from their fan base with the future warfare games. WWII brings CoD back to its roots with a great campaign and classic gameplay. The ammo caches and use of first-aid kits is almost nostalgic compared to the more recent games' ammo pickups or take-cover-to-heal. You can rely on teammates to provide these things, too if you prefer. The CG animation is exquisite. I play on a PS4 upscaled by a 4k display. I am amazed at the intricate details and level of attention given the maps by the artists. The motion capture performances by the actors, including Josh Duhamel (Transformers) combined with the digital models of their characters are brilliant. This is a big WIN in the Call of Duty lineup.

I am 56 years old and have been playing the COD series since its inception in the early 2000's. I still load up and play the old games. I never tire of them. The smart thing they did was go back to the WWII series with the return of this game. About time!!! This game is fantastic and the graphics are super sweet. the game play is great and smooth with no issues. The only knock that I have is the campaign is way too short. I used to play the others for days. This I have played twice and I have finished half of the levels already. I do not play online. ^0 bucks is a lot to pay for this small amount of content and that is why I wait until it is on sale. If you play online you will not be disappointed if you only do campaign then you get what you get. A really short game

It's COD, another FPS game that really is not great and other than graphics and the addition of loot boxes, has not changed since the first Halo came out. I can only recommend playing this is your friends are into FPS games because playing with friends is the only thing that makes this game fun. But, to be fair , the game play is smooth, works as designed and can be a lot of fun to those who enjoy these games. If you have played COD before, it is exactly the same but with a different setting than the last one (they have done WWII before so it's not exactly new for them let alone the genre). While it plays smoothly, you would be better off buying last years COD which is going to be cheaper since it will still have a lot of active players.

If you like the frenetic chaos of the past two games, this is just your thing. If you were hoping for a little old school... forget it. While the setting is nice and the graphics are OK, they are still small maps where very predetermined lines of fire resulted in predictable patterns of movement even in a 3 day Beta. Even in the COD version of Rush the map is smaller than most BF maps, smaller than Titan Fall maps where wall running, jet boosts and grapple hooks seem less chaotic than in this WWII shooter. There is little to no strategic or tactical thinking... it's just run and gun... and of course the most "realistic" part of WWII is present.... "Quick-scoping". Any war game that requires less aiming and more shoot-first mentality isn't for me...

This installment of COD is a huge improvement over the last several installments who went a little overboard with the futuristic theme to the point that gameplay suffered. Campaign is a much better paced, and gameplay is much improved. The characters are fairly bland and stereotypical, but it works. Multiply has brought back the ability to snipe without having to exploit quickscoping. Previous games had basically designed maps without any sniping positions in mind. Zombies is pretty good, David Tennant is great addition to the cast. It pales in comparison to Treyarch Zombies, but that's expected. It is pretty fun overall. Would recommend this to anyone who has been put off by the previous installments.

    Difficult Game to Play

This is my first COD game and, although the graphics are great, I find this game difficult to play. Plus, there is a lot of foul language so don't play it around your kids if you don't want them to hear it. My 11-yr old son said he has watched a lot of videos online and thought he could play it based on that notion. Needless to say, he was very frustrated when he couldn't. Seriously though, I was playing this on the easiest level (recruit) and it took me over one hour just to get the first objective cleared (five bunkers). Maybe if I had been playing COD since it first came out I would be better but I haven't. I'm going to continue to play...because that is what you do...don't give up, learn, and get better.

Ive been playing COD games since World at War. I was a fan until Black Ops came out and then was turned away by the futuristic garbage. I’m glad they have returned to their roots in WW2 and really glad they created the War Mode. It’s kept me coming back almost daily for over a year now. Mic up and try not to mute everyone immediately and find some like minded people to play with online. I started playing solo and now i run with a full squad almost every session. Makes the game much more enjoyable. The normal modes like TDM and Dom i dont play much. WAR is where its at and i hope it returns in future releases.

    DO NOT BUY THIS GAME

I havent played COD since Black Ops i was a loyal Modern Warfare and World ar War player multiple prestiges etc. I really wanted this game to be good i did the preorder and everything. Unfortunately this game is plain awful the dynamics are terrible, the maps are extremely small compared to other games before it, servers are constantly failing and its lagy at best. I tried to return it because its so bad. Unfortunately I got sold on the nostalgic idea about world at war when the fact of the matter is that the COD franchise has turned into a low quality mess compared to its old self. Save your money do not buy this game. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Call of Duty: WWII creates the definitive World War II next generation experience across three different game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Co-Operative. Featuring stunning visuals, the Campaign transports players to the European theater as they engage in an all-new Call of Duty story set in iconic World War II battles. Multiplayer marks a return to original, boots-on-the ground Call of Duty gameplay. Authentic weapons and traditional run-and-gun action immerse you in a vast array of World War II–themed locations. The Co-Operative mode unleashes a new and original story in a standalone game experience full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping moments

Good game. Especially for someone who is missing the old style feel of the first few call of duty games and modern warfare. I enjoyed it, but not as much as I had hoped to because I guess I had gotten a little more used to the futuristic stuff than I thought I did. I love World War 2. There's really not much to say because you know what you're getting. What I like about it, is that the weapons seem more beefier. The sound of the bullets and when they hit are very intense sounding and brings you into the game more. The movements seem more fluid. What I don't like is that team death matches seem very short but then again infinite warfare seemed very long. But I think I prefer it to be longer. I also feel like infinite warfare was more simplified in the menu and that upgrading my weapons and fulfilling my missions was easier. Anyway, it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the game. Still worth the buy!

Comparatively to its predecessors, CoD WWII is really a let down in every sense of what a CoD game has the potential to offer. The multiplayer was incredibly lackluster and so much of the game seemed to be a refresher of the type of atmosphere we had seen in CoD W@W. The Zombies, while interesting in the new take and more directed quest objectives vs. an open and easter-egg rooted experience fell incredibly short in replay ability and story intrigue. Compared to where we began, with W@W zombies and CoD BO1- this zombies edition was a total disgrace.

it's call of duty. they took it back, ive been playing since thanksgiving. not a bad game. but activision sucking way too much money. have to pay for DLC (download content) which is not cheap $50.00 i think. but it gives you access to more maps and in game merch. but a 60 dollar game easily becomes a over $100.00 game plus if you purchase cod coins for in game purchase. stop trying to nickel and dime me activision and all games that want you to pay for more in game action. I don't buy it- cause its too expensive for a stupid game. but the game is phat though. after all it's Call of DooDOO

I was a bit wary of making this purchase given the disappointment Infinite Warfare was for me, personally. After playing the beta, I decided to give CoD one more chance... and it did not disappoint! I was glad to see that CoD went back to the basics... what made it great, to begin with! No need for wall running, extreme futuristic nonsense. Even the new division categories was a refreshing take on this franchise. Not that it is anything revolutionary, but it just feels right for this game. The hardcore mode could be better, with more options, but outside of that, I am happy to play a CoD title game once again!

If you are looking for a good return to form, this game is the one for you. The graphics are quite amazing. The gameplay is sharp and fun as usual. Multiplayer outside of the new mode is standard COD fare. If you are expecting people or COD to change the game toward odjectives, they wont and have not as the userbase does not seem to play that way. Overall the multiplayer is fun and such as it used to be. Zombies is also fun and more "scary" than comedy which I appreciate. I have only played a little bit of the campain, but what I have seen is good. Worth the money especially if you can find it on a good deal.

I think Call of Duty really needed this, away from the futuristic themes it decided to go back to it's roots. However, it stumbles. The graphics are nice and i kind of enjoyed the story however the multiplayer which is what expends longevity of the game sucks. It's been glitchy for me and the maps are static and few. I did enjoy playing "War" which is similar to Battlefields Domination mode. The zombie mode is it's only saving grace except it has too few map variety. I'm sure we'll get more later as DLC, but why should i have to pay more and wait. Get this at discount, unless you're a COD hardcore fan.

I liked Black Ops 3 a lot. But advance warfare and infinite warfare I thought were really bad. This obviously does away with the jetpacks but that doesn't mean it's a return to glory either. I am only concerned with multiplayer and that part is a mixed bag. Maps are ok but the gameplay I dare say feels pretty familiar. I like the killstreaks but the netcode is the same terrible stuff you've known for years. So all the hit detection issues of the past are still present and really starting to feel last gen. Get it on sale that's my review. Not worth full asking price but not worth playing sometime.

The time I've spent playing this game has been the most I've played a CoD title in the past 3 years. The campaign is well paced. Stunning visuals. The MP is the biggest part of the game with the standard game modes with some interesting changes to the class system. Overall very addicting and more exciting with friends in the new headquarters hub space. The zombies takes a new refreshing tone with more horror and less campy attitude. To me that was the most welcome change but other than that it's your standard zombie mode with a huge map and tons of secrets. Overall, a good package.
