Best Call of Duty in years

I haven't been a fan of Call of Duty since MW2, but this captured me all over. The story mode is excellent, and the multiplayer is fun and not sci-fi based. The health of the online community is only about 500 players at a time at the date of this review. Some playlists are abandoned online and team deathmatch or war are the only options to find other players. The reason this loses 2 stars is because of poor PC optimization. I have a $1200 gaming PC with parts from 2012 to 2015. The game would stutter after 1 or 2 games to the point multiplayer was unplayable. Also couldn't change graphic settings without inducing stutter. I would have to close and reopen the game to fix it. Fast forward to 2019 and a new $1200 gaming PC. The stutter is not as common but it STILL sets in occasionally.

I am 56 years old and have been playing the COD series since its inception in the early 2000's. I still load up and play the old games. I never tire of them. The smart thing they did was go back to the WWII series with the return of this game. About time!!! This game is fantastic and the graphics are super sweet. the game play is great and smooth with no issues. The only knock that I have is the campaign is way too short. I used to play the others for days. This I have played twice and I have finished half of the levels already. I do not play online. ^0 bucks is a lot to pay for this small amount of content and that is why I wait until it is on sale. If you play online you will not be disappointed if you only do campaign then you get what you get. A really short game

I think the Single Player is awesome. I had a great time with it, the story is well written. This is a game, I didn't expect reality and I think the graphics were okay. I mean for me, that is not the most important thing but a good Single Player story for example which we got. Those who say it is repetitive, they either didn't play the game or they just don't know what repetitive means. In SP you participate in different kind of missions out of which the majority is shooting enemies (sometimes playing as spies or try to get through enemy lines without blowing your cover). It is pretty good. Multiplayer: not as impressed as with the SP. I hate all MP modes in shooters nowadays. BF 1 was a mess and disaster, same here, only on smaller maps. Chaos is the best to describe all MP nowadays. Shame... But I will base my point on the SP because I don't care about the MP anymore, so it is a good game

Multiplayer Version of this Game is Poorly cfg

This COD game is the most poorly optimized game of all of the COD games. Poorly implemented LAG compensation makes the game totally unplayable for me. Most of the time, I am dead before I see the opponent. Additionally, Sniper weapons are severely overpowered and easy for those with decent connections to dominate gameplay with Quick scoping. Replays show the targets in the scope, but no where near the crosshairs. Users use sniper rifles to run and gun and kills are instantaneous. With my connection, this type of play is impossible. Additionally, there are already hackers in the game with Wall Hacks, Aim assist and other hacks. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU DON'T ALREADY OWN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The realism will blow you away as it feels like you're in the 'movie' with the characters. The only annoying feature is the hurdles you HAVE to jump through to get through a level of play. Driving vehicles, flying planes, maneuvering using hands for steering is a real hassle and I can't understand whey they make is so darn difficult to get through a session to the end. Some routines you have to play a dozen times or more just to figure out what it is you have to do next?!?!? All I want to do is enjoy the game! This one is nothing like Modern Warfare II which is more fun to play every time I go into it over the last few years.

If you liked previous Call of Dutys, such as "Modern Warfare" or "World at War." I can almost guarantee you'll enjoy this one. All of the futuristic features in the past few games in the series have been removed. There are some things that have stuck around though, which are very welcome. Such as customizable kill streak rewards and the Zombies game mode. The community is still the same Call of Duty community many have come to dislike, however there is a great mute feature that can help for some people.

Code is restricted ONLY to steam. However, I dont understand why best buy can't work out a deal with activision to release digital games ONLY. No reason for me to go to the store wasting gas to pick up a hollow case with only a digital code. The only reason I picked this up was because of the $10 reward certificate incentive for gamers club unlocked users and the best COD I have played in a while.

I mean, I got what I paid for. So as far as that goes, it is what it is and it worked. That being said, the game itself left much more to be desired. A bit disappointing and seems a lackluster effort went into the making of this game, imo. At this point, I honestly can't say I'd recommend it to a friend. I think they could spend the same on a different title and get more for their money...

OMG, I personally do not play this game, it was purchased for my husband. he has been playing and has every call of duty cd but this one. I now know it must be one of the best, because he is on there for 15 hours for per day and only stops because he falls asleep at the keyboard! I guess this is the one that is better than all of the rest - buyers beware IT'S ADDICTING !

The game has excellent graphics and can be enjoyable to play. The game is a download that takes about 5 hours, there is no Disc to reload the game. After the third day of play the game would not open, the error message was a “disc read” error. Steam’s website was useless to help and their link to Raven was only more game advertisements. I will return this game for a refund.

This is the first Call of Duty game I've purchased for PC since Black Ops. Feels like the WW2 setting forced them to simplify things and get back to basics without some of the ridiculous killstreaks and movement options from the recent games. Gunplay feels good and the maps included with the base game seem pretty solid. Still not perfect, but definitely worth a try.

This Game Was intended as a gift for a person living at rural WV location. No Internet!!!! The online ad said it would be on media. It arrived as a Steam game that would require a large down load and a internet connection to play. It remains unopened and will go back to BestBuy after Christmas.

i do not recommend buying this game. its been full of hackers since day one. you can barely get a kill in without getting quick sniped or some random guy sniping you while running, ALL HEAD SHOTS, like how?. i tried to get a refund because of the cheating but they will not give me my money back!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE DISAPPOINTED.

It's the newest Call of Duty... lol. After Advanced Warfare's Campaign from Sledgehammer which I really enjoyed I thought there'd be a renewed focus on single player in their game, but apparently not. It's fine, though. You know if you want it already, if you'll play the Multiplayer that's the main focus. I personally wouldn't recommend it.

This game is visually appealing. And the interactions with the characters are pretty good. Unfortunately, the story itself is pretty linear. It's pretty much, move forward, stop, shoot, and repeat. It doesn't really offer anything new from Medal of Honor many many years ago. I would only recommend buying this at a discounted price.

    Original CoD PC Player

I have been playing CoD since the initial release on PC in 2003. I stopped after the Modern Warfare trilogy concluded and I'm very happy they are going back to their roots. They have learned a lot with multiplayer over the years and the gritty combat of WW2 will surely show in this new installment.

Buying this for PC was the best idea. Its easily played and is more aimed for LEGIT players and not kids who shouldnt be on this game. If you want a good experience, with good players, teams and good graphics, This is the best one since MW3.
