    It's a good quality camera, but it has 20 Second delay, even do I am connected direct via Ethernet cable, but 20 Second delay it's too much, Canary company things it's normal, welcome for the theft 20 Second delay Hello, how that is Normal!!!

    This product works as described - great to have real time security video. But, there is a lag time in the notification system. If it was a real break in, the lag time would probably make it useless.

    Switched out my Dropcam for this, and I gotta say that overall I'm happy, live video does lag a couple seconds, (Dropcam was definitely quicker at this), but no monthly charge for recording makes up for it.

    Setup was pretty easy and app was easy to use but ultimately returned because getting an alert was delayed by a few minutes. I would walk by the camera and by the time I got upstairs and into bed an alert would go off on my phone.

    This overall is great. Good picture quality but it does have spotty connection, a bit of a notification delay and the video cuts in and out some.

    The Canary is easy to setup and the camera works great. The app can use some help as it can be buggy with notification delays.

    The only problem I have is the 10sec delay when o get an alert. I spoke with canary tech and there is no repair for this MAJOR problem

    its one of the best indoor home security out there. only thing that bothers me is there is anout a 1 sec delay on the live feed. I like how you can see the air quality in the house as well.

    This is a great do it your self home security. The system currently sits on a windowsill near to the enterance of my house. With the camera here I am able to detect anybody that comes to the door, There is a few seconds of lag when viewing the camera in real time but nothing that hinders this awesome product.

    Does not act as an auto deterrent to burglars BC the siren is not automatic. Push notifications are heavily delayed. So a burglary could be happening and you wouldn't even know

    I've purchase the Canary to monitor my apartment when I was a away on vacation and did what was advertise. I was able to remote access the device to set mode to ARM(motion detection), Disarm and put in privacy mode. The device was easy to install, features include free video recording, motion detection, temperature and air quality sensors and view video live about 10 second lag(records to the cloud).

    Good indoor camera however it lacks an important feature, 2 way audio. It records everything and detects motion, however it is delayed - notifications come in a couple of minutes after motion has been detected at home. If you use the timeline feature and playback your videos, the time lapse during the recording is very apparent - chunks of recorded time are missing, stops recording without notifying you of an issue. Value for money: Average : @@@@@@@@

    Nothing too special on it. I like the look of it, but its not real time. There is a lag of about 15 seconds and sometimes you need those 15 seconds. Storage prices are pretty decent if needed.

    Bought this after researching other cameras and I am 100 percent satisfied with my purchase. It's low key design helps it blend in, almost looking like a Amazon Echo. High quality audio and video. Roughly 5 second delay on my system running over wifi. The free DVR service is great plus the other packages are low cost if you need to save more video or go back farther in your time line. And there is an announcement of a add on system coming in the fall to make it a complete security unit for your whole home.

    Don't waste your money. I've had it for 2 years and have hated it for 2 years. It lags extremely bad. . meaning I can go into the room do something come out and then it will alert my phone... When you go to watch it in live mode, the app takes FOREVER if it even loads at all. I also purchased this awhile ago, before you needed a membership to do anything with, and one day they updated their software and I was locked out. If I would have known it was a membership based camera, I wouldn't have purchased it at all as that was specifically looking for a camera that didn't need a membership.

    I was looking for more of an none traditional security camera, something I can put anywhere and blend in. This canary camera is fantastic. Easy set up, and great with notifications. I can say there is a small delay with the object like 4-5 seconds, but thats with all security cameras unless you hardwire it. For me I just use in a apartment basically my other set of eyes. Forgot to mention it checks your air quailty which is super cool. Safe for kids/babies room. Highly recommend.

    Love this product for my apartment, very easy to set up and very easy to install. I recommend this product to people who have small apartments/condos as this helps cover more area then it would a bigger home. Pro: This product has great sound quality and audio, and great two way talking feature, plus the added live video monitoring. Cons: it does have a very slow lag time when it comes to notifying you as well as pulling up the live web. But that's typically something that you'd expect from a security camera that's on Wi-Fi. Also the monthly fee of $10 can be a little bit much. . just to use certain things on the app to go along with the camera. All in all I give it a 4 out of 5, again I recommend this for apartments and condos only... if you're needing something for a house, this may not be the product best suited for that need.

    Great home security camera system and apps

    I was trying to figure out why people only gave this a 4.2 because I think this deserves 5 stars. I set up the camera very easily and quickly with no issues. I did not have bluetooth so I used an audio cable instead. The picture quality is high definition, decent sound quality too. I used a ethernet cable instead of WiFi. I downloaded both iOS app for iPad and the Android app. I do prefer the iPad only because the screen size is larger. I have never owned a Nest cam or a Foscam but I rate this highly because the alarm, temperature and air quality are great extras. My only minor complaint is that there is a 5 second delay lag but that's no big deal.It does everything that's says on the box.

    So my review might be a little different as my wife and I have 2 little girls and our older baby monitor was failing. We wanted to get one that we could use outside of our home wife to monitor the kids when 1 of us is travelling, etc. The Canary actually fits our needs perfectly as it works as a baby monitor as well as monitors the temp of the room, humidity and what it calls "Air Quality". Anyone with kids knows that temps of rooms and the humidity is a big deal and factors in to the air quality as a whole. We originally purchased just 1 to try it out and the next day I went to purchase a 2nd for our other daughters rooms. These little suckers are great for what we use it as not to mention it can also be used as a security device (which we don't even really even use it for that purpose, ironic, right? @@@@@@@ . The only caveat is that there is roughly a 5 second delay on what actually happens to what is displayed to the screen but honestly, that doesn't bother us and sometimes comes in handy. Example: If we hear a bump, thud or a loud cry from one room and we have the monitor up on 1 of our phones, we can generally catch and see what event caused the thud or cry within that 5 second window. We really love these products and I highly recommend them if it fits your needs.
