Great Ink -- NO GRAY included, though!

I think it's very annoying that Canon opted to not include a gray cartridge in a multi-cartridge set. It was the first time I've had to refill my printer and I had this set on hand to refill the cartridges after using up the sample supply. I suppose that some of the compatible printers may not require the gray cartridge, but I still feel it is a little misleading for my model to be compatible with a multipack and it not be made clear that some models require an additional gray cartridge. I am very, very annoyed with this situation (obviously). I really wish that the salesperson knew to tell me that I'd need an individual gray on top of the multiple set and the photo black cartridge that I bought on the day I picked out my printer. He even walked me to the ink and picked up the boxes of ink sets that I would need. I love the printer, but I don't love that I was not able to print any photos last night because I didn't realize I didn't have the necessary gray ink cartridge. So please, be aware that they do not, for some reason, include the gray in their multipacks. Grr! Great printer, great ink, bad choice to not put gray in the pack, and bad on the salesperson for not telling me I needed one when I was very obviously buying inks to use after the samples included with the printer ran out. 3 stars, because I do highly recommend this ink, but I knocked two stars off my rating because of the gray ink situation. Please be aware that there is no gray cartridge included -- you will need to buy that one individually for some odd reason.

I'm picky about my electronics, and I've long preferred MacBook Pros as my laptop of choice. My wife, however, strongly prefers Windows laptops, and her 4 1/2-year-old Dell needed replacing. So, I volunteered to find a new machine. I read tons of reviews -- both critics and consumers -- and did some online price comparisons. I narrowed the list to the Dell XPS, Lenovo Yoga 900 series, the HP Spectre 360 and this lower priced Dell Inspiron 7300 series. I didn't expect to buy the Inspiron when I went to Best Buy, thinking it would be far inferior to the other options. I eventually did, though, and we're thrilled with the quality of the laptop, especially at that price point. It's sleek, compact and solid. It weighs a bit more than the others (and my MBP), but at 3.6 pounds it still feels light. It powers up quickly, and the processing speed is plenty fast. The keyboard has a very responsive feel, and the trackpad is a big improvement over her old Dell. It has HDMI, USB and USB-C ports, although only one of the latter. The screen resolution is crisp, and the bezels are relatively small. This Dell has the camera at the top of the screen, not the bottom, which seems more natural for Skyping. Overall, this laptop is a great value for a sub-$1k machine.

I've got a Canon Pixma all-in-one inkjet/scanner which I'm very happy with. It does go through the cartridges, however, so until my old one kicks the bucket and I get into the market for one of the new models that have refillable inkwells, I have to buy cartridges. I have used generic cartridges in the recent past--which do work pretty well, though they don't necessarily have the bells and whistles of the Canon-produced ones. I've never had a problem with the Canon cartridges (except for remembering the model numbers!). This box contains four of the colors I use the most and, when I buy at Best Buy, helps with my Rewards points.

This package of ink cartridges has been purchased several times. Quality has always been consistent with no smears or clogging. Colors are consistent and loading/unloading is very easy. There are two very basic reasons this cartridge pack gets graded good rather than excellent. Firstly, the cartridges are used up pretty quickly; a longer life or a lower price for the relatively short life would be appreciated. Secondly, This cartridge pack does not include the gray cartridge which is needed for my printer model. The gray cartridge should be included in the package as a basic component.

As others have noted, the ink costs as much or just a little less than the printer itself. But once you've purchased the printer, what other ink option is there? At least the cartridges are easy to install. I don't know how long the original ink cartridges will last since I purchased this combo pack prior to the ink running out because I had to use a certificate that was expiring. The ink comes with 50 4 x 6 photo paper, so that's an added bonus. I would recommend this to a friend only because I would recommend the Canon Pixma 922 printer and, as noted, once you buy the printer you have to pay for the expensive ink replacements. Or is there another (cheaper) ink option available?

These ink cartridges make beautiful prints, just like they are supposed to. My only complaint is that they don't last long. Most of my prints are school papers and color graphs/charts etc. that go along with said papers. I wouldn't think these are as demanding of the ink as printing color photographs; yet, after 75-100 pages, or so, the printer begins giving warnings the ink cartridges are in need of replacement. Alas, the problem may lie with the printer's design rather than the ink cartridges. In which case, those in need of these ink cartridges might very well be getting sucked into a black hole surrounded by cyan, magenta, and yellow. It makes for quite a picture, albeit, an expensive one.

I just picked up this set of printer cartridge this evening, and the review is for the inventory at the Encinitas, CA store. Three of the cartridges were already opened with no plastic seal. I really needed these color cartridges today, and that's why I chose to purchase and do a store pick up instead of having it shipped to me or buying from Amazon. I contacted Best Buy through chat, and all the agent did was gave me a canned response saying that I can return the product. (Had I known I would be taking a gamble and getting a used product, I would have just went to another retailer who could actually give me a new product.)

I used to have an Epson printer, and every time I had to print something, I would have to recalibrate and clean the cartridges because it wold print with missing spots on the page. Ever since I switched to this printer and use these inks, I have never had a problem with them--the ink is flawless on the paper. The only thing which I don't like is that the ink seems to run out quicker than the Epson inks on the other printer one, but otherwise, I am happy with these inks.

Frequent issues with clogged print heads

This is the ink that I use with the Canon MX922. In my experience the print heads need to be cleaned frequently and that uses a lot of ink. And I mean A LOT. Like HP, the printheads are built right onto the ink cartridge. A brand new cartridge will lose 10% of the ink after one deep cleaning. Now, to Canon's defense, the printer warns you that you are about to waste ink by performing a deep cleaning, so be prepared to throw away some more money on already expensive ink. I had a similar issue with Epson printers a long while ago. Been using Canon printers and ink for aver 10 years but I am starting to think it's time to look at other brands.

I was used to buying my Cannon 250/251 ink cartridges in a five pack from Costco for over eighty dollars. Besides the price, my major objection was that this packaging contains a 251 Black Ink Cartridge that does not expend itself at the same rate as all the others-consequently I have five of them in reserve while having had to replenish the others a half dozen times. So I was happy to find the four pack of 250/251 Cartridges at Best buy that does not include the superfluous Black one and costs about thirty dollars less-plus I was able to use a Member discount to bring the price down even further. Very Happy about all this!

Not much more to say that I haven't already written. The manufacturer produced product works wonderfully on my machine. In the past, I have used the cheaper versions of the inks and had to replace the printer as the inks wither leaked or damaged the machine in some way. I have now had my canon for more than 7 years with no problems. Saves me the time and money of replacing my machine when I spend a little extra on the ink.

I had to make a special trip to our Best Buy a half hour away to purchase Canon replacement inks for our Canon MX922 printer. I found this pack that said on the carton it was compatible with the printer. I got it home, only to find out this pack was one cartridge short for the MX922. The MX uses a second smaller black cartridge, along with the large back one. It must be used during color printing. If Canon is going to say it's compatible with a specific model of printer, it should make sure that that pack of cartirdges has ALL the cartridges needed for that printer to operate. I'm very dissappointed in Canon for this.

I really like the color this ink puts out with my documents,as well as photos. The downside is we seem to go though ink cartridges really fast even though 99% of the time we are printing in black and write. Both my canon printers have this issues where they stop printing even though, when you take the cartridges out the feel and sound half full when you shake them. Not happy always happy about this, especially when you need to print something instantly and the printer won't print because the cartridges are telling the print they are empty. even know I know they are not.

Printer ink is one of those things you have to buy if you have a printer. Too bad it doesn’t last any longer than it does. As my review summary says, printer companies price the ink to make their money on it more than on the cost of the printer. Looking over the life time of a modern printer, if you include the price of the ink, you have spent a lot more on the ability to print some documents or photos than you might think. The ink works good for our printer, it’s just costs a lot compared to how long it lasts.

You would think after a few months the price of the ink would dramatically reduce. Not so. My first Canon Printer (MP 600) lasted 8 years. Back in 2006, ink for this model per cartridge cost $17. I am now a proud owner of an MP 920 and the cost of the ink still the same. Customers should be wear because if you attend college like me who takes four classes or more, you'll find your self spending more money for ink than the cost of the copier within the first months of the semester. If organizing your notes doesn't get you then study, pictures, or research will.

Colors are wonderful, especially when printing photos, but PLEEEZE come down on the price! $60 on a set, not including the smaller BLK, is ridiculous, especially now that I am retired and don't have the luxury of company laser printers. I've been using Costco/Sam's for refilling my cartridges but they seem to cause problems in the long run (or at least that's what you lead me to believe). But, for the price I paid for my printer (>$90) I may risk it if I can get another six years out of it and not pay full price for new cartridges.

This product is great for people who have up-to-date printers with multiple colors that you need to fill and keep full in order for your printer To be at its best. This package includes all the necessary colors that are most quickly used up in the PXMA 920 Series Canon printer in one bundled discounted package. The not so great thing and only not so great thing is that there is one color that is not included in this bundled box; albeit its a color that is not used up as frequently as these colors. Overall though its a great money saving, convenient package.

The Canon 4-pack high yield ink cartridges plus photo paper was a great purchase for me and my family, especially with the large amount of pictures we had taken on vacation. The colors were so crisp and bright. The images on the photos were so clear and bold looking..I felt like I was still there. The quality of the photo paper is very good and was a much needed bonus that was included with this product. The only thing wrong with this pack is that it is missing a grey and small black ink cartridge that is needed for my printer

I bought this package because it was less expensive than buying the colour and black tanks separately, but note I wrote "less expensive," not "cheaper." The cost definitely makes one think, "is this printing really necessary?" I think printer manufacturers drop the price of their printers in the same way phone manufacturers reduce the cost of their cell phones. The real moneymaker for them is the ink/voice&data minutes. I don't think the "no-name" refurbished cartridges are (much, if at all)better on price because they contain less ink.

These are not high yield ink cartridges

    Retired58

The Canon 4 pack high yield ink cartridges with photo paper do not have the high yield (XL) stamp on them and I think they are standard size ink cartridges. Best Buy indicates that they are high yield, however, the Canon box they came in and the one shown on the Best Buy web site does not indicate that they are high yield (XL) cartridges. If you want high yield ink cartridges, do not buy this 4 pack.
