What do want to know?- it's ink!

Inkjet printers seem to be given away with purchase or sold very inexpensively as a basis for continuing to sell overpriced ink cartridges, until the printers die. I bought my Canon MX922 at Best Buy, 2 years ago (I believe I wrote a review for it). I'm more happy with this all-in-one, than I have been with any other printer I have owned. The ink is still outrageously priced and doesn't last long enough- but prices are consistent with other retailers. I'm a DIY person, but I'm not into refilling my own ink carts. I guess it's kind of a necessary evil. The only thing I can add is that Best Buy does have a rewards program for purchases, price matching to any advertised, local, brick and mortar store AND they do offer an expired cartridge credit program towards purchase of new cartridges... but check the details as there are some sticky rules. I keep forgetting to bring the expired carts with me, when I need to run out and buy a new one in a panic. Now I have a small box full of them in my car. What else can I say- it's Ink made for my printer. They seem to be consistently functional, they just don't last as long as I'd like and seem dry out without use. I think the printer industry as a whole can do better than the American Car manufacturers parts business.... otherwise I recommend this product.

I was able to rather quickly order & pick up this combo ink cartridge pack from my local Best Buy retailer (Millenia in Orlando), but definitely not a 'best buy' regarding price . . . so I'll simply be thankful for the convenience (despite it being cheaper at some other locations, including online). HP ink is pretty easily labeled on the box to determine its age, but Canon ink is not. There is almost no way to know the 'shelf life' or if it's been overlooked for quite a while in backroom storage. That does concern me, but I've never received a combo pack that didn't work properly in my printer. Fortunate for that. The cartridge recycling program at BB is not the best in the area, but several of the alternate locations will probably have future issues as they attempt to just stay in business. I've considered some of the cartridge refilling options, but eventually choose to stick with brand new items for personal fear of leaking or printer damage (potentially negating warranty).

Works Great With Canon Pixma Printer

My overall review is that the print quality of this Canon ink works extremely well with our Pixma printer. It has good ink saturation and is very clear. The fact that you can't easily find a full case of the four inks is kind of weird!! Buying three inks and then having to buy a separate fourth ink is not very consumer friendly! The printing system is also confusing as it appears that all four inks are used even when printing in black!! So my issue is not with the inks, it is with the entire Pixma system. The consumables are so expensive, that we may end up switching to another printer that has more reasonably priced consumables and simpler system to use!

I spent the extra funds on the "High Yield" version of a product that is already outrageously expensive because I was told emphatically that it would last a lot longer. Plus I honor my warranty and never use anything except the manufacturer (OCM) version of the product. It did not last ANY longer. In fact, I am thinking of getting rid of my printer altogether because the cost of ink is killing me... and even when i ONLY PRINT Black & White for a couple weeks, the Blue (Cyan) and Red (Magenta) still run out! This is ridiculous. I thought I loved Canon but this is ridiculous

service from clerk in that department was terrible ignored me and proceeded to help someone after i waited over 30 minutes at his counter,he was helping someone and left me standing there to help a younger female, i did speak with another clerk who was not in that department but brought me to customer service, the lady there was very helpful with my purchase. It should have never taken an hour to purchase one item for a color printer, my printer is great but the sales person was more concerned with chatting with a hot looking 20 yr old who was not waiting at the register for service. The product i would recommend . The lady in customer service was fantastic.

I am using these with the Canon Pixma MX922 printer-copier-fax (wireless) printer. It uses 3 color and 2 black cartridges; one black for plain text and the other specifically for use in color documents. The color cartridges can be bought as a pack or individually if you ran out of just one color. They come in a standard and an extra-large capacity either way. These are the first cartridges I've seen that have no expiration date: if kept in their package or seated properly in the printer, they have an air-tight connection and should not dry out, fade, or otherwise mess up. That's also assuming you're storing them at a temperature you yourself are comfortable living in!

I use these ink cartridges for my personal printer which gets a LOT of use between myself and our 5 kids. I was so impressed with the print quality of our previous Canon printer that after it finally stopped working (after about 8 years!) I wouldn't look at any other brand for photo purposes. I've owned HP, Brother, Canon and also have an Epson for my home office. A Canon printer paired with genuine Canon ink has always provided me with the most beautiful, accurate colors for photos and images.

Best Ink to use with your Canon Printer

I have tried in the past third party ink cartridges. They print well however the chemicals in the ink end up (for me) clogging the inkjet head requiring me to buy another printer. Given the low number of cartridges I use in a year the higher price for better quality ink is well worth it. Canon does fix the price for its ink so all reputable stores sell it at the exact same price. Some stores do have custom "packaging" made by Canon just for their store. These special packaging can include additional cartridges, or glossy photo paper.

Canon has been, for many years,a tried and true leader in the world of photography. When Canon started building the PIXMA series of printers, they, in my opinion, became the best of the best in that marketplace and this ink proves that the Best of the Best can improve upon itself and BECOME...EVEN BETTER !! How is it better? Here is why I feel it is. The colors seem more VIBRANT, almost JUMPING OFF THE PAGE. The color mix (gradient) seems much smoother and seamless . This results in a photo print that is more true to the subject or item photographed. BUT, that's MY opinion. I really feel that... WHEN YOU TRY IT..YOU'LL LIKE IT !

I highly recommend Canon inkjet ink cartridges. I've been using Canon printers for many years and have gotten great service from them. I only use Canon branded replacement carts for my printers because they last long and produce quality documents. Text and graphic printing is always clear and bright. No smudges or lines are ever produced. They're also great for photo reproduction as well. Color reproduction is nearly perfect. Get these carts, they're worth a little extra you pay compared to refills or off-branded products.

The ink works, or course, so not much to review there. Bought this for a mx922 which uses 4 colors to print plus a black. Why does Canon not sell an xl pack with all 4 colors in it? They sell this xl 3 pack and a 4 pack in regular size. So if you want 4 xl tanks, you have to buy this 3 pack and then the photo black color separately, which runs about $64 with bestbuy members discount. Then add $21 for the regular black XL and you're at $85 to replace all the ink in a $100 printer.

Plus side: Sales person did a good job explaining purchse options. Ink cartridges came in various packaging configurations and sizes. Negative side: We live in a rural area and no matter how he entered our address into your computer it would not accept it as a valid address. NEVER had this problem anywhere else. You need to add an over ride for this problem. Wasted a lot of our time. Ended up using my father-in-law's address just to make a purchase and to finally get out of there.

These tiny ink cartridges seem to hold much less ink than previous Canon pixma printers. Even without printing anything in color, the level goes down within a few weeks. The printer warns me that the ink is dangerously low, but in fact I can print quite a few more pages even after it tells me it's empty. I'm sure most folks replace them when there is still usable ink. I've had canon printers for decades, but doubt I'll buy another one.

One thing I have always enjoyed about shopping at Best Buys is the fact when your printer uses multiple ink cartridges Best Buys has them for sale individually or in various assortments tailored to specific printer models and others that include photo paper. If you are a rewards member you will save on your purchases and the multi packs are at an additional savings. No need to shop elsewhere for your ink cartridges.

My Canon Pixma MX922 is the best printer I've ever owned and the most versatile. The convenience of getting OEM ink from Best Buy is a huge factor in my purchase. I can have a home delivery or a store pickup. I know that the ink is genuine. That is important to me, because imitation ink cartridges and refills do not give the same quality print jobs. It's a good combination, Best Buy and OEM products. I count on both.

I bought the XL color ink cartridges for the first time, am presently using them, but don't yet know whether the XL lasts long enough to justify the higher price. The salesman said they do, and I am inclined to believe him. I have joked for some time that the manufacturers should give the printers away for free because they make so much on the ink! I am not a high volume user, and seem to buy ink too often.

Everything I print using Canon ink turns out great with vibrant, but realistic colors. Now if we could just do something about the price of printer ink in general. Canon is no worse than anyone else in this regard and being a My Best Buy member does help somewhat. It's sometimes cheaper to buy a brand new printer than it is to buy replacement cartridges.

This is a great assortment of your primary printing colors. What I like most about these cartridges is that they're ALL XL (EXTRA LIFE). They hold 11 ml. of ink where as the standard cartridges only hold 7. Over 1 1/2 times the ink supply. As a plus beyond saving money is that they are more environmentally friendly, less changes are required. A GOOD VALUE FOR YOU AND OUR FRAGILE EARTH.

A couple of times in the past, I tried some of the cheaper ink and refills, but had problems. Now I just buy the best, and I never print a bad page or photo. I have had a couple of Canon printers that print many reams of paper without any problems. My family and friends say I print the best photos too, even though my printer is old and prints lots of color pages on copy paper.

I bought replacement 251 XL 3-Pack High-Yield Ink Cartridges - Cyan/Magenta/Yellow for my Cannon printer only to get an error message when I inserted them that could not be fixed. I had to purchase a new printer and the new one used different cartridges. So not only were they very expensive but now I'm stuck with something that I am unable to use.
