The only problem I had was when I brought it straight home from the store and pulled the tabs off the colored cartridges to insert them in to the printer, the ink leaked all over my hands. The black one didn't need to be replaced for a couple more days and it did not leak when replaced, I believe because it had a chance to settle.

Does the job for toner replacement

It would be nice if the gray toner were included instead of sold separately, but an XL black replacement has been wisely included.

The reason for this is Canon has ways to detect that it is not their brand and will purposefully have them not work. So, always go with Canon Ink cartridges with Canon printers and your printer will work perfectly!

The only reason I gave 3 starts is the cost.

My previous Canon had the same style of ink, You would get some 4x6 photo printer paper as a bundle with the ink for $20 less than what I paid for just the ink for this printer. I do recommend the ink...it is high quality.
