This scanner was exactly what I needed. Fits perfectly on my desk and it enhances the desktop appearance.

EASY TO USE, I WISH IT SCA\NED AND PRINTED THOUGH.

This is my fourth scanner and it is the best. I bought it for scanning 35mm film negatives and I am very happy with the picture quality.

The scanner seems fine. It just took me a while to figure out how to use tiff for output. The help document does not explain which is better tiff or jpeg. Also took me a time to figure out how to scan at 9600 dpi. What I haven't figure is I had to reduce output size from flexible to 25%. So, my question is if it still has 9600 dpi in the saved file. Seems to when I focus in on a picture. The scanner does well. Mostly I put the film in the holder and no matter where in it, it figures out where each picture is and how it will crop it to the maximum film size. Once, in a while it does not split them right because a big blank space of film is before a picture and it splits it wrong. There is a way to manually do your own cropping. This helped on old instamatic film that did not have a normal 35mm film top used for the camera to move film. I have not tried pictures, or other items to scan yet.

I wish there was no bevel on the platen, so i could put larger pieces on the scanning bed without creating shadow. But there's really no comparably priced scanner that has a flush platen. And, i really don't care about using the Image Garden that comes with the setup. I just want it to open directly into Photoshop. Others might not consider this a problem. Also, my previous scanner allowed for larger than 600dpi resolution. I miss that.

I bought this lense on the 18 month financing. This lense takes beautiful pictures! What a huge difference between this lense and my old lense. This is a very clear lense. The only drawback is the weight. It is heavy, especially for a small women like myself.

I haven't had a scanner in awhile, but this one is far superior to previous ones I've had. I highly recommend this unit. Good quality output and easy to use.

Excellent flatbed scanner at a price that doesn’t break the bank.

This is great! I am scanning 35mm Negatives. It has holders for 35mm negatives, 120mm, and 35mm Slides. The only setback is that we don't have holders for 110 and Advantix film formats, so I had to cut holders out of thick paper with an Exacto Knife. It worked out though.

Great product for scanning slides and old 35mm film. I have thousands of old negatives and this Canon scanner is great.

This item was given as a gift and since I have received no complaints I will assume it is doing the job it was designed to do.

I checked out this scanner online to replace an old scanner. I found that Best Buy had one locally so I went in to look at it. It was about $6 more than online so I bought it. I like to support local stores who go to the expense of stocking what I am looking for. I like to look at the actual product.
