Grip is very nice and makes shooting portraits much smoother. Also nice to be able to use two batteries. Only negative is the insert that holds the batteries is not as well built as other canon grips. It is some form of a thinner, cheaper plastic than before. Other than that it is great.

Its got a good feel to it but its practically all plastic.. way too expensive just like all other canon products...however it does feel great, designed well, keeps me shooting longer because of the two batteries

The battery grip works great! I now have the battery life I need to shoot all day. My only worry is the components that hold the two batteries, very thin and seems cheap, only time will tell...

This grip adds excellent battery life, but it also adds a decent amount of weight to the camera.

Excellent product, does all it says it does but it adds serious weight and becomes a much bigger product from bulk. I have small hands so this is very awkward to use and without it my camera is much lighter but if you are shooting vertically I feel it is a must, just try to bring a monopod or tripod if allowed so the weight is on that not on your wrights or hands.

The battery grip is good to have to comfortably take portraits and switch back to landscape. It does become heavy after a while. Good stuff since it came with the camera. Probably won’t buy on it’s own.

I'm not one of those avid battery grip users, but this one is great when I feel the need to use it. It came with my Mark IV purchase.

The grip itself for us is a must-have. Shooting weddings means you need plenty of battery life and this grip adds the additional capability that we need. There are several downsides though. First is the price, this thing is expensive for what it adds for capability. Second, is the size and weight. it adds a significant amount of bulk to an already heavy camera. For most people though, having a battery grip is just not worth it in my opinion.

Just like all the OEM Canon battery grip, it’s high quality, and the shutter feels the same as the camera’s, unlike aftermarket models that I had for Mark III and Mark II, though the aftermarket models are great with price, the shutter always a little off. I wish the price can be cheaper.

I've purchsed Canon 5D and marks II, III, and IV. All superb cameras. Previous battery grips had a solid, well built internal holder for the batteries. The BG-E20 has a holder that is not as well constructed.

The grip works fine. Like most other reviews, the battery tray feels flimsy and cheap, but the outside of the grip feels like what you expect from Canon.

This is a great battery grip but my only complaint would be how cheap and fragile the battery holder tray seems. Other then that it works very good.

Workshop well in providing additional shooting time for your camera. No need to run to the charger if doing a long photo shoot!
