Glad we took the plunge and bought this on sale. SO fed up with "inexpensive" ink jets with their endless clogging and pricy cartridge replacements, we finally decided to try a laser. This cost more up front but the ink lasts a long time and doesn't dry up. We only use it sporadically so it sits there quietly until needed, then works flawlessly with lots of great features. Setup was easy, wifi recognition is great, color is surprisingly good. No more inkjet headaches!

This is the absolute worst printer I have ever had the misfortune of using. We tried to set up the scan to email feature several times including with a Canon professional in our home. It does not work and it throws error messages all of the time and continually beeps with random error messages. It will lose connectivity for no reason. Trying to set up the scanning settings is a nightmare. The newest problem is that the touchscreen has become unresponsive suddenly and the touch surface is a thin piece of glass. The touchscreen would respond if you touched it harder and harder, which then broke the glass, making the unit useless. Do not buy this unless you want a real hassle or have a high yield business and want to set up every single feature from the beginning or else you are wrestling with trying to find instructions online again and again when you want to change or set up a new setting.

Canon does NOT support IPv6, so you cannot scan wireless. Learned after unpacking and setting up. Printer not in a location to run a cable. Packed up and took back. Other printer companies have no problem, come on Canon.
