Purchased this laser color printer instead of the HP Deskjet MFD as I was going through expensive cartridges and printers quickly. Printers were only lasting a little over a year, so went with a more commercial color laser for my home office. This is a heavy printer, cartridges have long print cycles before needing to be replaced and the color was excellent compared to several other models we tested in the store. No paper jams, easy to setup, easy to use scanning and copy features (double sided) works right out of the box without any issues. I recommend spending a few dollars more on a device that will last. Well worth the price especially when you get it on sale.

This is a great printer for small business due to its versatility. Basic setup is OK for a reasonably tech savvy amateur. In addition, I believe that the printer has even more capability — if someone can figure out how to configure some of its specialized functions. Scan quality is OK. Black and white print quality is good, crisp. Color print quality is OK, but certainly not spectacular. Print costs per page seem to be OK for offices / home offices with lower print volumes. (It is sad to know that we could buy a new printer for less than the cost of replacing several toner cartridges, but this phenomenon is not unique to this printer.). Touch screen responsiveness on our unit is pretty frustrating. Overall - Strongly recommend

Purchased this printer to replace another Canon printer that was wired to my home network and was low on toner. I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing, but with the Black Friday price of this printer, it was cheaper to buy this printer then replace the toner in my old printer. This printer is much faster than my old one, seems to work much better with my Apple, and allows me to print from my mobile devices. The only complaint I have is that you have to go a few levels in the menu to print envelopes as the printer does not auto-detect the size and setting the size in the software is not enough; you have to do it in the printer as well. A little annoying, but otherwise a great printer.

This was a saga. Had a 3-year old HP die, bought another HP, and it was worthless within a month. Brought it back and replaced it with this. So far, we're pretty happy. Scans and prints quickly, with none of the network issues from the previous HP.

Slow, slow, SLOW input quality on the keypad. It takes a second for it to process the request. Don’t type like we are used to when we text when you put a wireless password. Trust me, you will have to input it again. Give it a second until you see the previous character went in. Otherwise this thing is a BEAST. It’s heavy as hell and works like a charm. If you want to print really nice photos then purchase a bubble jet. This will not do that even though it claims to. It prints black and white super fast. Buy extra toner non brand name. You will need it and follow the instructions EXACTLY otherwise you will get ink all over you!

Does a great job copying/printing. My iPhone has a hard time finding this printer sometimes. I find that I have to be very close to the printer otherwise I get the message “no printer found”. I have not tried the scanning feature yet.

Has everything I wanted: 1. Prints from Win 10 clients, not just Win 7; 2. Prints from iPad & iPhone via AirPrint; 3. Has a fax that actually works (woohoo!); 4. Scans to e-mail (woohoo!); 5. Scans to thumb drive; 6. Prints from outside the home via Google Cloud Print; 7. Prints duplex. Setup wasn't too bad, though it took a combination of physical screen menu and web admin menu options and some trial and error. Scanning to e-mail was the hardest to set up because of poor error messages and having to turn off the printer between configuration changes, but it eventually worked. I used a free G-mail account, which added an extra authentication hurdle. I haven't attempted the scan to a network folder, since e-mail is just as convenient.

If you want to step up from your home printer to something that does not have to be replaced every year or two, I think this might be what your after. It seemed like I was replacing my printer every year or so for one reason or another. So I spent some extra money for something substantial. This thing rocks, so far. It is very intuitive, it works just like you think it would. Its fast and I really like the 2 sided print option. My only gripe so far is picture clarity. If you are looking to print out photographs for hanging on the wall, this may not be the printer for you. This is the only reason for not giving 5 stars. Time will tell on the longevity. A 3 year warranty gives some piece of mind .

Overall this is a great printer so far. I read several reviews before purchasing, some concerns about the install instructions etc., but I was able to find everything I needed via the Canon website or other videos. It is a heavy printer, but as long as a sturdy table is to be used you should be fine. Very well packaged, arrived quickly. I would recommend if you're looking for a more productive home office, I upgraded from an older ink jet and it makes a huge difference.

I've only had it for one month, but it has performed admirably. It copies front and back and produced quality copies. The ink isn't wet like an inkjet printer, so it won't get hard and messy. Just getting into my business, so looking forward to using it. I think it will be an asset.

Purchased this printer in lieu of a jet printer as the jet printers I have owned always seemed to get clogged from dried ink. (2 different HP printers of nice quality) Drove me crazy! I would clean it as directed & it would work great for a few months, & then act up again. Even with new print cartridges. This printer is fast, quiet, and prints perfectly (I have not tried on photo paper, just regular paper for my kids school assignments or various home applications.) It was easy to set-up & easy to use. I love the idea of not having to replace cartridges all the time because of dried up ink! Very satisfied & would highly recommend it.

Full featured color laser printer. Print quality is quite good, as well as scanner and fax functions. Toner is very easy to change out when needed as well. The paper tray is a bit on the small side, you would expect one that can hold at least a full ream of paper considering the printers capabilities. There is an optional 550 sheet tray available however. I have read some reviews saying the touchscreen is a bit flakey registering touches properly, but I have had no issues with my example. Quick printing, duplex scanning and printing is really nice. Overall, hard to beat at this price point.

I work from home and print a lot of documents. Laser is the way to go. I have both all-in-one inkjet and a basic monochrome laser printer but I wanted a all-in-one color laser this time. Inkjet is so expensive to keep replacing and the aftermarket ink ruined both of my inkjets so I decided color laser with the multifunction capability. So far so good! It’s easy to use and set up. Just make sure you have a good somewhat recent up to date wireless router if your gonna use it wirelessly. I had to update my router. It was almost 10 years old so it kept disconnecting the printer. New router and now no problems!

We really like how this printer performs and the quality of print is good even in color. The only issue is that we had quite a bit of trouble getting the scanner, to anywhere, working. The setup instructions are a little foggy for a less than IT pro.

I have only had this printer for a short time, but it is very nice. I have a home business and wanted to replaced my inkjet printer with a laser because it doesn't smear if the page gets wet out on a job. I also wanted a printer that could do decent pictures for home. The printer is a small business size, so it is heavier then other home printers and will require more space. It prints well, scans both sides of a document at the same time which makes short work of multiple pages. I have print a few pictures and they came out very nice as well. I am very pleased with it thus far.

I have to agree with the reviews I read before purchasing, this thing is a heavy beast! Other than hauling it upstairs once we got it there it has been running great. A couple issues we have come across are: sometimes the touch screen does not recognize your touch or goes to the wrong menu item, also if you are going to scan make sure you download the software. I assumed it was included when I downloaded the driver, it said it had scan gear. Apparently not, it is a separate software download. Still have not been able to configure it to work.
