Customers are saying

Customers find value in the EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Standard Lens's exceptional image quality, dreamy bokeh, and impressive low-light performance, frequently praising its ability to achieve a shallow depth of field and produce sharp, clear images. However, some customers note that the autofocus can be slow, and the high price point may be a deterrent for some buyers. The lens's weight is a point of contention, with some finding it substantial while others appreciate its manageable size.

If you are in the market for a prime lens. This is the dude you need if you want your money's worth.. I bought the Canon 1.8 STM (will return to amazon).. That things make noises when lens tries to focus.. The 1.2 is much smoother.. I also thought about going with the Tamron 45mm at f 1.8.. but didn't like what others have said about that lens.. I am so glad I bought this little guy.. Smooth focus, Fast.. and you can shoot fully open and get excellent picture. The results speak for it self.. Shooting with 5D Mark IV + 50mm f 1.2 will probably be my go to combo.

I shoot with a Canon 7D I purchased this lens for portraits and it works marvelously . I am happy with the purchase overall. Now it did leave a dent in my bank account, but well worth every dollar. I recently used it at a wedding and went above my expectations in very low lighting. #happycustomer #wouldrecommend #50mm #worthit

Upgraded from my 50mm 1.4, and haven't looked back. Make sure to do the same if you are a pro.
