Customers are saying
Customers praise the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens for its exceptional image quality and beautiful bokeh, with many also highlighting its impressively fast focusing capabilities. Daily companion

Game changer
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens is a game changer. It’s sharp, fast and delivers beautiful photos. It’s perfect for portraits, great for candids ( since you can really zoom in from far away) and I love how it performs at 2.8. It’s great for those shallow depth of field photos

Great fast lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens completes my "holy" trinity of lenses. The sharpness and fast speed of this lens s great for close and distance. I used this lens with an extender in a nature preserve and got some great shots of birds and other wildlife. You need to have this lens if you want tac sharp images.

Great lense
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for use on my Canon T6i. I was amazed at the photos that were taken. Used on a trip to Alaska, New England and Washington D.C. Was able to stop the action of my grandson playing baseball as the ball hit the bat. The photos of him sliding into base are fabulous.

Sharp Lens & Fast Focus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really impressed with how well this lens works in low light, since I photograph baseball. Works well with my 7D, clarity is nice, and focuses very fast. The lens optical elements are amazing with how well the pictures come out. It will be a great asset when I photograph basketball late this year

The Workhorse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read about this lens but cringed at the price. I finally bit the bullet and bought one, wondering WHY I didn't get it sooner! I wanted the 2.8 for working in low light. Amazing, tack sharp photos and well made- its heavy, but that is part of its excellence! Highly recommend!

Expensive, but worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used it for the first time in a dark nightclub. I expected to not get any useful footage at all, but was pleasantly surprised at how this lens 'sees in the dark.' May take a while to get used to the weight. Hang that thing around your neck, you'll be needing a chiropractor. I use it on a tripod for most of my video work

Get one!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent zoom lens for just any occasion. It is definitely a great improvement from the first version. It is still as heavy as the first one. It's well built. One thing i've noticed is that canon doesn't put their serial number on its lenses anymore. Can't know when it had been manufactured.

This lens works great on my Canon 7D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this lens for about a month and I love it! It's a little heavy but it takes super sharp photos. I have been using it for mostly outdoor fast moving action shots and so far so good! I would definitely recommend this lens!

Incredible lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have rented this lens a few times because of cost. Finally bit the bullet and bought my own copy. No doubt this lens is expensive. However, it produces beautiful portriats with very pleasing bokeh. Portriats at 2.8 from 200mm are the reason I have this lens.

How could it it be a wrong choice? AAA+
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. How can you go wrong with one of the two top professional Canon lenses used around the world? Fast, sharp, and.... well, not cheap. It costs to have the tools you need to catch the moments that never happen ever again. This is one of those tools.

Great lens when it's not broken!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this lens WITH the Best Buy Protection plan, and thank God for that. While away on a shoot one of the glass components came loose on the inside within a week of purchase–I hadn't dropped or abused the lens at all considering how fragile and valuable they are. Fortunately there was a Best Buy local with one in stock (last one!) and they replaced it immediately on site (GET THEIR PROTECTION PLAN, it's worth it!). I haven't had any issues with the replacement. It feels robust and takes amazingly clear photos. I truly do love this lens, but that fluke really had me worried about build quality.

Amazing amazing amazing lens.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could give this lens 10 stars I would. I shoot weddings every single weekend and this lens is the most capable lens I have. With the image stabilization it has helped me shoot in extremely low light without getting blurry photos. If you can afford it get it.

Great Lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally purchased this lens to obtain better pictures during my kids sporting events. After shooting a number of pics around my home, I have found this equipment more useful than my Canon 18 - 135mm lens. Great purchase and well worth the money.
