Very quick and accurate focus. Good performer in low light situations. A little heavy but it will be part of your daily workout.

Awesome Lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much research both online and in person with fellow photographers, I decided to purchase the lens. It is better than expected. I use it for taking pictures of sporting events for my high school's yearbook. My teachers are impressed by what they see. I am looking forward to using it when I help a friend take pictures for weddings.

Wonderful investment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great lens! It shoots great when you're wide and as well as narrow. fast auto focus. Awesome Lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I take a lot of indoor speed skating pictures. I used the stock D7 lens and it was capable of taking good shots. The 70-200mm was a game changer. I can go as low as 2.8 or 3.5 depending on lighting conditions. Pictures are coming out great. Still experimenting with different settings.

Fave lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast focusing, super sharp, upgraded from non-is version. Never shoot below 1/125 shutter speed anyway so not quite sure how IS performs compared to non-is but it is definitely sharper than the non-is version.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens is a beast! If you don't own a zoom lens and are serious about photography believe me, you need this one in your camera bag. It is absolutely worth it. The images are beautiful and crisp. A must have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens has impressed me time and time again. I have a fair amount of experience using the first gen and non-IS model of this lens but I am happy to have bought this one new. The clarity is much improved over the first generation. It truly is a bag full of prime lenses in one lens. It is sharp as can be. I haven't used or tested the IS too much but I am happy to know I have it. No complaints other than weight, but that was expected.

Exceptional Portrait and Sports Lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens costed an arm and a leg (for my budget) but I have absolutely no regrets purchasing this because of the quality of the images (the images are much more crisp than with any other of my lenses) and it’s performance. It’s fast. A tad bit on the heavy side but manageable for short periods of time. I’d recommend using with a tripod or monopod if you plan to use it for long periods of time. A strap with this will give you neck/back pains.

Amazing Lens!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am thoroughly impressed with this lens. This thing is MASSIVE! It also extremely sharp! I upgraded from the EF 70-200 f4L IS, which I also love and is almost as sharp as this one. This is almost as sharp as some of my primes. It is a wonderful piece of glass. Everything about this lens is perfection... the images are super sharp, the colors are great, and autofocus is very fast! You can’t go wrong with this lens. Just be aware that this a very heavy lens.

great lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast focusing, super sharp, upgraded from non-is version. Purchased lens to take pictures of events in low light situations at entertainment events. Works well because it is sharp even when wide open, and is very quiet.

Awesome lens!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the favorite of all the lenses I own. Right now I mount this on my 7D - but I'm planning on getting a 6D soon. The photos I take with this lens on my 7D are sharp, perfect! I love love love this lens, can't wait to use it on a FF. Wish it wasn't heavy, it hurts my wrist after a bit, but well worth the money and pain!

Great lens! Perfect telephoto lens addition
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent quality right out of the box . Very durable. Takes great pictures. The 2.8 aperture makes it a great choice whether you you shoot sport shots or need lower light conditions. It has great image stabilization helping to take those shots when you don't have your monopod with you when traveling. Highly recommend to buy this lens. It's a more expensive lens to add to your collection but you will be glad you did.
