Customers praise the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens for its exceptional image quality and beautiful bokeh, with many also highlighting its impressively fast focusing capabilities. However, some users find the lens to be heavy and expensive. The size of the lens is also a point of concern for a few customers.

Lens is great for portraits though heavy after prolonged use. Expensive lens but worth the price.

I have always dreamt of having this lens - now that i do- i am in awe ! Photos are sharp even on wide open aperture. This lens is perfect for photographing my toddler, as i can stand further away and take natural photographs of him. The bokeh is bokehlicious!!!

This is my second copy of the lens I have purchased. As a professional photographer, this is one of my most used lenses. All around great reach and very useful for portraits, weddings, event coverage and more! This IS II version is the sharpest out of the 70-200 2.8 models by far, and the image stabilization allows me to hand hold the camera at much lower shutter speeds than before. As stated before, this is my second copy of the lens. During peak wedding season, I'm often shooting for weeks at a time without a day off. I had to buy the second one because the first one had so much wear on it in the past 2 years I had to send it in for service and adjustment (which is completely normal on pro camera gear that gets used and abused frequently). Because I depend on this lens so much to get the shots I need, I decided to buy a second one to use and keep as a backup when the other one came back from service!

I found the lens online at a better price and Best Buy immediately price matched it and it was shipped to the store within just a few days. I am so impressed with the lens that I use it more than any other lens in my collection. It is very quiet, durable and performance is outstanding. I would recommend this lens to anyone shooting fast action sports such as racing or school sports. Its ability to freeze the action is remarkable.

This is a great lens with many uses. I've taken it to Hawaii already, used it on portraits, panoramas, great to zoom in on details. Although heavy to carry around it's a must have for a professional. Very fast and quick to focus. Extremely sharp.

Love the versatility and quality of this lens. It is a little on the heavy side but not enough of a bother to even make me think of using or buying another lens as a replacement. I have not found anything I dislike about this lens.

This is a great lens, sharp even wide open. I use this lens on my crop body 60D which gives me the 35mm equivalent of 112-320mm lens on a full frame DSLR like the 6D. The f/2.8 aperture is great for making smooth bokeh. A wonderful lens overall.

Such a great lens for capturing action shots in lower light gyms! That's been my primary use so far and it has been perfect! My only complaint is the weight...but not enough to keep me from using it or using a monopod.
