I am so in love with this lens. Love the quality and the built. It's a bit heavy with the 5d mkiii but it's expected and doesn't bother me much.

This lens is considered to be one of the absolute best that you can purchase for your canon gear. I've wanted to get one for years and resisted the urge to compromise on a lesser model (following the advice of nearly every photography blog and saving for the best). This lens did not disappoint. It's my second L class lens (I also have the 16-35 f2.8) and the optic quality and sharpness are truly remarkable. This is definitely a pro style lens - this is not something you purchase while "learning".

This lens gives excellent image quality and fast auto-focusing. However, it's a little heavy for travel.

Came in a box the very next day after I ordered it! This was a bug purchase that didn't let down! I'm a wedding photographer so this lens is needed for shots from the back of the back of the church. Love it!

Great lens for portraits. It's a heavy lens but has excellent build quality. Focus is fast and accurate.

I'm using this lens on a Sony A7S and FS700 along with a metabones adapter. No complaints so far. On low battery the aperture control is sluggish on the A7S but that could be the camera and/or adapter.

I absolutely love my lens, great for portraits, low light shoots, sports, weddings where you don't need to be so close to your subject give them enough space. Lens is pricey but won't let you down. Right now take advantage of the sale price + $300 rebate through Canon up to feb. And 18 month financing. Good time to get yours...

Great lens. Use it for indoor sports photography. Quality is awesome. Couldn't be happier. Little pricey

The lens is perfect for action shots. Although heavy, with a good tripod, you will feel secure taking photos.

I love this lenses already. I purchased it to use at my grandchildrens soccer games as well as some portraiture. I am not disappointed and love the bokeh surrounding the close ups.

This lens has been fantastic. I take a lot of sports pictures for a local newspaper, and am more than pleased with the results. It is super fast and low-lit gyms are no longer a problem.

I really like the lens. only negative is it is a heavy lens. Great quick focusing
