I used this lens for an event I was doing. It worked great and the images came out extra sharp.

Best lens I’ve ever used, worth the investment for sure

This is a decent lens but not quiet what I was looking for. I received this as a gift and while the zoom on it is okay, it is not enough for what the person purchasing it thought or was explained it was going to be. I have another lens that does a better job of getting a better detail for pictures that I want that zoom, but detail. So my suggestion is to make sure you really check out this lens compared to others before you buy and make sure you get to look through it. Make sure you are getting what you want. It is still a good lens and I decided to keep it because it provides me some decent shots that some of my other lens don't, but if I was to be able to choose again, I would have compared a little more, even if I had to spend a little more and that was the rub. They were trying to save some money because good lens for camera are definitely not cheap.

The fact that you can get L quality glass at this price makes this lens a no-brainer. Make sure you know what you'll be using it for though: at f4, this lens is not great for indoor photography. And if you're looking for a wildlife lens, you want a longer lens. But as long as you're using it within its limitations, you can't get much better.

This lens is great , produces spot on pictures and the build quality is excellent. However, $600 - $700 for a lens that is virtually an outdoors lens is something to think about. There's significant issues with hand held photos in dim light with blurred and out of focus results. However, if this lens is something you plan on using in the previously described lighting then it is a BARGAIN.

This lens is great not only does it look even better but it's very easy to use. You can use this lens and the results it gives you are professional. The 200mm lets you get real close to your subject without having to actually be close which is great for wildlife and kids.

This lens is great so far. Still in the process of learning all about it have only had it about 3 weeks. I would like to get the 70-200mm f/4L IS next but for now this one works great for me.

This lens is amazi g, super sharp, clear, and fast to focus.

I love this lens. The L lens is crisp, clear and very precise in and out of zooms. This is a not a heavy lens to carry compared to the 2.8 version so I can take it anywhere. I feel that I'm getting the most of every shot. This the best value for a lens that does everything but low light.

Got this as my first 70-200 works great very happy. Glass is crisp.

I purchased this lens for primarirly taking pictures of action sports both indoors and outdoors and have not been dissapointed. The speed of the lens is great at catching images that were always blurry before. I have only been able use it indoors so far without flash and has worked very well. I would bet that outdoors it will preform equally as well if not better

Omg. I am in love with this lens. Amazing pictures. Professional quality. Pay more but worth every penny. Definitely happy I got the stability control. Don’t skimp... this lens is fantastic.

Love this L series lense! Image quality is super sharp. Unless you shoot night scapes or shallow depth portraits, the f4 is a great... and cheaper option!

Super fast focus allows me to get great shots of my 3 yo granddaughter who never stands still as well as awesome nature shots. I'm a big amature and can only imagine what I can do with it once I take the time to learn

Good long range lens for shooting sports! Not as much zoom as 300 but is also less expensive.
