    This is not the lens for close up shots but for those shots with just a little distance. The pictures are so very clear it really is amazing.

    I researched this lens before purchasing it for my Canon 6D (full frame). The options for an 85mm are this lens (~$400) or the 85mm f1.2 (~$1400). I think this one does great for the purposes I’m using it for (portraits) without spending an arm and a leg. Recommended!

    This lens is perfect for those tight, up close portrait shots! I'm giving this 4 stars because I don't seem to reach for it as often as my 50mm 1.8, however, I am very happy I have this in my collection!

    Bought this lens based upon recommendation of a friend who's into photography. It is a nice, easy to use simple lens for the amateur picture taker. Color & clarity are both nice. You do sacrifice the ability to zoom in & out but you need to know what you plan on using it for.
