Customers have good things to say about the image quality, bokeh, and price of the EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens, frequently praising its sharpness and performance in low light. Positive feedback also highlights its ease of use and the suitability of its focal length for portraits. While some users noted chromatic aberration and occasional focus issues, these concerns were less prevalent than the positive reviews.

Love this affordable portrait lens. It is a nice upgrade from my nifty fifty. Paired with my crop sensor 80D it is very close to a true 135mm which is what I wanted! Def. a great buy. Beautiful bokeh.

My absolute favorite lens! I rented the 1.2 and it was so heavy and this lens provides almost the same results without paying thousands! The bokeh is beautiful and I highly recommend.

I have been looking to upgrade from a 50mm f/1.8. I decided to rent an 85mm f/1/8 to see if the lens would be worth purchasing and the difference is amazing! Even with natural light, the 85mm catches much more than the 50mm, whether in auto, action, or manual mode --and I have a Canon Rebel T1i, so that says a lot!

Solid lenses. You can’t go wrong. Make sure you’re looking for a telephoto lenses! If so, this is the best game in town. Portraits, blurry background, low light capability. I use it with my Canon RP.

Canons tried and true budget prime lens. I have shot so many family events/family cards with this lens, and for the price there is nothing that matches it in quality. The bokeh is so creamy, the pictures just look dreamy when shot wide open. Stopped down it only gets better. I took this to the zoo and used in on my m6 for some incredible pictures. Got monkeys and gorillas in full profile with the backgrounds nice and blurred out, An absolute joy to use. I recommend this lens for any photographer, beginner or advanced. Sure you can spend 1000 bucks more for an even better version, but thats also 1000 dollars more down the drain when you drop it! And believe me, you WILL drop a lens one day. When you do, it better be an affordable one.

I love this lens. Clear, easy and a great portrait lens. The 1.8f comes in handy when you have infants - also, I have used it for interior real estate works well. I have a 70-200 2.8f, but sometimes you just need to mix it up. Worth the money.

It's a low budget lens at a great price. Don't be fool this lens is amazing. The bokeh that you get out of this lens is beautiful. The only downside it does not have stability. However, this lens is amazing for portraits.

Really good lens for the price. Bought it for taking portrait pics after a new baby. Couldn't ask for a better portrait lens in this price range for canon. Love the backward compalibility.

This is my go-to lens for portraits. This is even better than my $1500 Canon 24-70 f2.8 for portraits. It is specially better on the low light.

I love this lens...don't know why I waited so long to get it! It takes awesome pictures. I use it with a Canon 60D and 7D Mark II...works great with both of them. I shoot lots of portraits and it gives nice rich, creamy bokah!!

Fast prime lens with fast focusing. The image quality is sharp, but at wide open there is some chromatic aberration. Not as bad as other lenses and easily fixable in post, but all in all great lens

I looove this lens. It is a great focal length for portraits on a full frame camera. Its a super cridp image as well. Nice on a cropped sensor but too close alot of the time for me at least
