I have a bunch of EF lenses that needed to mount to the RF body. This adapter lets me do that. The control ring lets you change settings, such as exposure compensation, while looking through the viewfinder. Nice to have but not necessary if you want to save money on the adapter without the control ring.

I expected issues with older, high end, Sigma lenses but they work better on my R7 with this adapter than they ever did on any of my EF bodies. If you go mirrorless and have any EF or EFS lenses buy this asap!

This adapter has been a money saver! I was able to upgrade my camera and continue to use my old Canon EF lenses until I am ready to invest in new mirrorless ones.

The adapter works great with the Canon R3 and Canon EF lenses. The camera also allows you to customize the ring around the adapter so you can set it to control the ISO, AF, Shutter, ect...

This is really a must have if you are EF lenses and have purchased a Canon R5, R6, or other DSLR type mirrorless camera. The control ring is very useful though adjusting from an older camera has taken some time. You are paying a little more for the control ring but it is worth it.

I don't like using adapters as we have to compromise on Quality or Focus Speed etc.. But adapter is great. I use all my Canon EF lenses on Mirrorless without any issues. No change in the Quality or Focus Speed. also Control ring works great and its close to the body.

The postal service messed up deliveries so I had to wait 3 weeks past my delivery date BUT, my item was delivered in tact, from what I can tell. The adapter is a pretty well made and sturdy piece of equipment! I haven't used it yet because I'm waiting on the other half of the equipment. We'll see!

Worth it to adapt your EF and EF-S lenses for the RF mount. Prefer this option to the cheaper no control ring option as one of the biggest draws of the R series cameras is the custom control ring on the RF lenses. This adapter brings that functionality to your old EF/EF-S lenses.

I was trying to find somewhere that had the basic $99 Canon EF-RF Adapter but the only place I could find any of the lens adapters was Best Buy. Now that I have the upgraded adaptor with the control ring, I'm glad I have it instead of the lower-priced one! I like the extra functionality!

Incredible adapter for native EF that saved me thousands of dollars and waiting for the time to change to RF system fully. Control Ring is very useful and smooth with light clicks especially for Canon RP, connection port secure pretty tight!

this adaptor works well with my old EF lenses. I like the control ring and use it for aperture control. some photographers don't use the ring and save money by buying the model without it.

Bought this to use with the Canon R5. Works great. I like the selection ring on the base that I can set up to change a parameter that I choose (I have mine set up to ISO). If you're moving into the mirrorless world and want to keep your EF lenses, this is for you!

If you don't want to invest in RF lenses just yet, this adapter will help you sleep better at night! Bought the R5 and every lens I use with this adapter is seamless, I do not lose any quality from my shots.

Use this with my R5 and a couple EF lenses and it works perfect. I have it set to adjust ISO and it’s so convenient and quick to make adjustments on the fly. Also have the basic adapter and it works great also, great way to keep using EF lenses on the new RF bodies.

The control ring lens mount adapter was special as I had over $4,000.00 worth of lenses from older Canon SLRs that had to adapt to the new SLR I bought.
