Works well enough, BUT the control ring is NOT supported by all R models. It is useless on my R100. I’m going to keep it anyway as I plan to upgrade to an R5 this year but double check the compatibility of the ring with your particular model before spending the extra beyond the regular adapter.

Good adapter, the control ring clicks are good for control, nice for smaller lenses, however for big telephoto lenses it will be far from your hands on the zoom or focus rings, and on the R3 its a bit too close to the body, and you already have 3 control wheels, but still its a nice addition.

I had just upgraded to an eos R5 after having my older Canon DSLR. I had invested in multiple high quality lenses with that camera including a telephoto, wide angle, and portrait lenses. Therefore having an adapter was crucial so that I didn't have to invest in a completely new set of lenses. This did the trick. Works prefectly with my previous Canon lenses. No hiccups. Having the control ring is also useful as you can link it to any parameter of the camera you want. I hsve it currently attached to my shutter speed. Great accessory to keep your old equipment alive and modernize it.

High quality, this is a lifetime one purchase item. Canon engineered this adapter to the highest standards possible. Thus saving me money and allowing me to continue using and enjoying my EF glass on Canon RF mount cameras. I highly recommend this adapter with the control ring that allows me to use many of the Canon EOS R features with my EF mount glass.

it has been extremely hard to find any EF-to RF mount adapters lately and BestBuy was the only place to find this adapter without an unspecified shipment date. So I ordered here. The positive: It does what it is supposed to do. Connection to my EOS RP was a little stiff, very tight. The lens side was less stiff. Now I can use my ef and ef-s type lenses on my Eos Rp. I wanted to get the extra control ring to speed up settings adjustment with the manual mode. The camera already has 2 control wheels... So it feels a little redundant unless you shoot at M mode or need one extra control ring. I don't think you will regret getting the cheaper model if you are a hobbyist.

I bought this lens adapter to go with my new Canon EOS R7 which replaced my 10 year old Canon EOS 70D. The adapter allows me to use the lenses I had for the 70D with the new R7. The adapter works well. The EF mount lenses work perfectly on the new R7 RF mount. I like having the control ring available which I have mapped to changing ISO in manual mode shooting.

An absolute must if you’re already married into the Ef eco system, there is the cheaper adapter ring but with that you lose the ring control settings that is new to the RF gear Can also confirm what you’ll read in a lot of places, all my Ef L glass seems to respond better paired up to my R6 than it did on the old bodies Was a must have for my kit

Works great. It doesn't add a lot of length to my lenses. I appreciate that I don't have to repurchase thousands of dollars worth of lenses for the new mirrorless mount. There have been no connectivity problems and the automatic functions on my lenses work as if they are directly connected to the camera. No focus issues. I went from a 7D Mark II to a 7R. The biggest concern is remembering to move the adapter when I change lenses because I forget it's there.

The answer to “can I use my old Canon EF lenses?”

This is the answer to, can I use my old Canon lenses on my brand new R5 and R6?.. Without this I would have to spend thousands on replacing old lenses for new ones . Having the control ring on this allows the old lenses to benefit from the new features/short cuts you can get from the RF lenses. I have seen these on the market for scalper prices and $199 is a fair price for this, I was almost tempted to pay $500 for the same thing, imported, no warranty, just to be able to use my existing lenses.

If youre using EF Lenses on your new EOS camera def get this adapter with the control ring. You can customize the ring and map it to several different options such as ISO, Shutter, Aperture, WB, ect. You def wont ever regret getting this one with the control ring.

Easy to use. Essential if you have a wide collection of older canon lenses. Can use most EF lenses with almost no loss in image quality. EF-S lenses suffer from crop issues on full frame RF cameras

I’ve been able to use my EF lenses on an R5 without any noticeable loss in performance or image quality. This is a definite winner if you need or want the addition of the control ring. This adapter is a no-brainer for anyone who owns a collection of EF lenses.

I'm using this adapter on my new Canon R7 body with my EOS lenses. So far, I've used it with my 100-400L and had no problems. The photos looked tack sharp. I also have a 70-200 2.8L that I'll be using it with.
