I love this lens. It's compact, fast, and just built beautifully. Incredibly sharp wide open, this is probably the best lens you can get for the EF-M mount. It's pricey but you get what you paid for.
The only gripe is a minor one: no IS. Would've been nice for very low light work, but at f/1.4 you don't miss it too much.

Great addition to my Canon M6 Mark II

This lens has been a fantastic addition to my Canon M6 Mark II. This has taken my picture taking ability with this camera to the next level. The amazing detail for portrait taking is amazing. The depth of focus is shallow (which is expected with a prime lens like this) so you can get awesome blurry backgrounds which make your subjects pop. The low light performance due to the large aperture is phenomenal. I had debated whether it was worth spending this much money on a prime lens. After 6 months of ownership, I am very glad that I made this purchase for my camera.

The EF-M 32 1.4 completely changed my experience of the M5, & M series in general. Compared to the EF-M 22 it is substantially brighter, does not need the help of a flash, very sharp even stopped down at 1.4 but optimal at F4. Whereas the EF-M 22 struggled in dim lighting the EF-M 32 has rendered the M5 what I originally aspired for= small, reliable, adaptive, sharp, practical. After selling my 80D & numerous heavy lenses I had some remorse with the ef-m 22 & ef-m 18-150 not measuring up to much heavier dslr lenses, but suddenly that changed with the EF-M 32... I can take it anywhere, capture nearly everything, & can rely upon it.
Without the EF-M 32 I honestly would consider the alternatives but that completely changed with a good lens

Best 2nd lens to get after the efm 22mm f/2

Amazing lens! Sharp and it being native to the ef-m camera system, the colors just pop! This along with the e-fm 22mm f/2 and the kit lens is all I need for my street photography. I’m just starting and it would be nice if canon released more native fast lenses to the EF-M system, but this lens has made me happy so far. I know there are the trinity of sigma lenses (Sadly Best Buy only caters to the Sony enthusiasts in the sigma lens departments) as well as adapting EF lenses, but this lens keeps my M50 MKii as compact as possible whenever I’m out taking photos in NYC.

This lens takes some beautiful photos. It can take macro-style photos, but also take portrait photos. The bokeh is really pretty to me. It is a little wider at ~50mm full-frame equivalent than most people prefer for portraits, but I think it still works great for that use. Most of my favorite photos I've taken are with this lens. The price is a bit higher than other EF-M lenses, but it's a steal compared to other lenses on different mount systems.
For video it is mixed. The autofocus seems a lot slower than other lenses on my m50. That makes it not great for vlog-style videos and also anything where you or your subject is moving a lot. It can give a "cinematic" feel to your videos if you are good at manually focusing it because the focus is so slow. If I'm alone trying to film myself doing something with my hands close up, it can be frustrating because the stuff I'm manipulating can come in and out of focus, and it's slow to catch up. The video is really pretty though with a nice blurry background.

This lens adds the capability for low light and separation of subject from the background that you really can't get with the kit lens. Great addition to anyone's camera bag that has an EOS M camera.

Fast lens with some nice bokeh. Focus by wire will always kind of suck, but at least there is nice ring to hold onto, unlike the 22mm F2.

This is probably the sharpest of the M series lenses. The 22mm and 11-22mm are close, but not as sharp at the edges. Very fast at f/4 and nice bokeh. A fantastic lens for the money.
