    I bought this lens for doing video work for our church camp and other run and gun style activities. The IS is great and really takes out a lot of shake. It also produces a nice depth of field blur. I recommend this lens for any crop frame camera.

    I bought a Canon 70D bundle package at Christmas. This package came with two lenses. I wish I would've did a little bit more research and bought just the body and this Canon 17-55 lens. It would've been exactly what I need to suit my photography needs. Keep in mind, this lens is only for APC/Crop sensor cameras

    Just in time for an Alaska cruise - on sale ! (the lens, not the cruise). Have used my camera more since I bought the lens than in the last 2 years combined. Awesome!

    Great pictures but pretty expensive. It's not going to be a game changer, so if you are on a budget there is a better lens for you.

    I bought this as an upgrade for my Canon Kit Lens. It is an excellent lens for those who want a lens that performs well in lower light. I use it as my go to lens when I am in situations where changing lenses repeatedly isn't ideal.

    The 17-55mm 2.8 is a general purpose lens with L series quality. The sharpness of the pictures reminds me of a Full Frame camera and lens.
