Great and versatile wide angle lens at a great price. Comparable to more expensive lens but with more features. Fast auto focus and image Stabilization are must have capabilities. Light weight, fairly compact, and easy to use. Great for photography , best for recording video.

I just recently got into real estate photography. After a ton of research I decided to go with this lens. I couldn't have picked a better lens!! It performs just as good as, if not better than, the Canon EF 10-22mm for less than half the price. I've watched a lot of reviews comparing the two lenses and this one wins not only because of less chromatic aberration but also for its price. This lens is perfect for real estate photography because of its extremely wide angle. It can take a very small room and catch almost the entire room. My pictures look amazing thanks to this lens! On top of all of that, this lens also includes the STM focus system which allows you to record video and have the lens focus almost completely silent. There are only 2 negative things I can say about it. First, it's made of mostly plastic. It doesn't feel really cheap but it does feel less durable than a more expensive lens. This was probably one of the ways that Canon was able to keep the costs down. Secondly, it's not a very fast lens. It only does F/4.5 at best so it's not great in low light. I used a tripod for my darker shots so this was not an issue for me. I wouldn't recommend taking handheld photos in dark areas without a flash. Pros: Relatively Low Price Very wide angle Image quality STM Focus Motor Cons: Mostly plastic build Only F/4.5 (Not great in low light)

This EF-S lens is high quality, with excellent image production, and very little in the way of unexpected distortions. If you are looking to experiment with very wide angle, this is a great introduction that doesn't break the bank. I have used this lens to photograph high end real estate for listings, and for crowd shots that give a great feel for the scope of an event. Especially for the price this is an all around great buy.

I purchased this ultra wide angle lens for my job. I needed a lens that would give me great quality, wide angle shots for interior real estate shots. I am very happy with the lens. As always Canon provides top quality products that I depend on in my business.

I bought this lens for my Canon m50 mkII a few and I've been very impressed with its overall performance. The image quality is excellent, especially considering the affordable price tag. Photos are sharp and clear, even at the widest 10mm focal length. The lens is also very lightweight and compact, making it perfect for everyday shooting. The image stabilization is a big plus, allowing me to capture sharper handheld images in low-light situations. While the maximum aperture isn't the widest, it's still good enough for most everyday photography. My only minor complaint is some slight barrel distortion at the wider end, but this is easily correctable in post-processing. Overall, this is a fantastic wide-angle zoom lens for APS-C cameras. It's a great value for the price, offering superb image quality, portability, and image stabilization.

    Fun Lens!

I have had this lens since mid September and love this lens. The focus is crisp and the wide angle gives a very different effect than a standard kit lens. Some have complained that the lens is slow but the image stabilization gives at least 2 stops which makes this lens great for night scenes. If you have the 18mm - 55mm kit lens I'd recommend shooting at 18mm to get a feel for how this lens behaves.

This Lens is a lot of fun! Perfect for shooting architecture and interiors, tight or smaller spaces look wide and open. It gives you a whole new wonderful perspective from any other lens I have. There is distortion, but delivers sharp and clean photos. Although small aperture ( f 4.5-5.6 ) and had some little shadows/vignette from built-in flash, it is very easy for beginners like me to use. Price is outstanding, for a Wide angle STM lens.

I purchased this lens around the time I got my new Canon R10. I mainly shoot my YouTube vlogs with it and have found the quality superb! When outdoor on auto focus, the picture was very clear - only had one green dot come in because I didn't have a lens hood for this lens at the time of creating my video. I do now! This lens was purchased for the purpose of outdoor video creation, not so much for photography. I have seen by reviews and see that it is very capable there, as I do love lenses that have versatility (for example, the Cannon 22mm F.2 pancake is one of the most versatile lenses ever!). I did have to purchase the $99 Canon EF to RF adapter to use this lens and it works awesome! It does make the vlogging set a little heavier thought! But it's worth it. Great lens! Has many uses - don't be afraid to get one!

I bought this lens for my Canon SL1, which is 2014 and i just bought this lens which was also released in 2014, long story short i am amazed with this lens, it is way better than a expensive phone camera, the shots are clear and ultra wide angle is now my favorite lens to use scenery shots. The price meets the expectations with this lens, i am a happy customer and carry this lens with me almost everyday. Hope this helps you!

Great Price, very light but sturdy!! It has an STM motor, which does not move the front focus ring mechanically but by electronic wire.. so the focus ring doesn't have any hard stops to it.. it just keeps spinning. Again it doesn't move mechanically (moves by itself) while in "A" focus mode. The wide angle on this thing is outstanding!! Love it, now i can get some killer wiiiide shots!! It's super sharp! It doesnt have much Bokeh though. just a slight out of focus type thing. This lens is fitted on my Canon EOS 60 D. -Scotty

Awesome little lens for wide shots. Used this lens to catch entire room when I stood in the corner. The pics came out sharp and while there is some bending at the edges, this can be fixed in post processing. Would definitely recommend this lens to anyone who does landscape or real estate photography

I am a Real Estate Broker and purchase lens for taking wide wide angle interior and exterior shots. Even in small bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry rooms this lens allows my 50D the ability to capture the entire room. Highly Recommend. Also recommend purchasing UV filter and Polarizer filter as the end product is that much better

I debated a long while before getting this lens. The price was so great I wondered if the quality was decent.Well it is. I am in love with this. Great wide angle. I even use it for selfies.. yeah i JUST SAID THAT. But its wonderful for landscapes. If you are on a budget this is a great lens. I am thrilled with the quality and its light weight. I used it last weekend for a wedding to capture the entire ballroom. Worked great!

This lens is very affordable for an ultrawide zoom at a little over half price of most zooms in this range. It's easy to use and very lightweight. It's really designed for ease of use. The cons relative to more expensive lenses: It's a slow lens but has IS so that helps. Focus does not stay fixed as you zoom. If you prefer to manual focus there is no scale on focus ring which I find helpful. For the money, image is very good.

I've been trying to collect the EF-S trifecta for my burgeoning photography hobby - first the 18-55mm lens that came with the 77D, then the 55-250mm for telephoto zoom, and now the 10-18mm for wide angle shots. I used it while taking the architectural tour along the Chicago river and it was the perfect lens to capture the buildings on both sides of the river in one frame.

Excellent entry-level lens! If you are just starting out and don't have many lenses in your arsenal yet, this is definitely one of the first you should get your hands on. Not only is it very affordable, but it is capable of capturing quality photos of landscapes, tight spaces, architecture, and so much more. With an exellent auto-focus system, the lens also does outstandingly well while recording video. Only thing I would have liked different would have been for it to have a metal lense mount. Otherwise, I absolutely recommend this product!
