Auto focus worked great, easy to adjust zoom, wide angle gives great pictures with everything in it, makes backyards look bigger than they really are, tried manual focus, worked OK, nice lens to get everything in the frame.

Canon has done a geat job with this lens. This is as wide as you can get without going fisheye. Add to the fact that this lens has image stabilization built in and it's priced compared to other 10mm lens it is a no brainer.

Having a Canon 90D (APS-C), it was nice, almost necessary, to have for a project I worked on that needed to show rooms of a house. The 10mm setting accomplished this nicely, with very little distortion. For the project I needed no depth of field, so it was a great option, but I would not recommend buying if you are looking for a wider Portrait lens. Also is pretty lightweight for gimbal usage, which is an added bonus. I've never had issues with a 90D and this lens on my gimbal (budget gimbal).

I can only review this from the point of view of someone who does only basic photography but I'm enjoying this lens. It does not have much distortion, the images are clear, it is so quiet that I can't hear it focus at all. It is not bad for general use in small spaces (though the edges will show distortion as one would expect). I recently took a trip to several western National Parks with it and it was the lens I kept on the camera over half of the time. I found it to be fun to use, and that's probably the most important thing for me since I have more fun taking pictures than I do working with or even viewing them.

Not the top of the line lens but does do what you need it to do. I don't usually take those wide epic expanse shots so this was sufficient for what I wanted to use it for. It functions as it should and gets the job done. Crisp clean looking images and lots of real estate to compose the image with. Although for the beginner it's a little misleading since 10mm translates to 16mm on your crop sensor camera (APS-C) which this lens is specifically made for. Even at that focal length it has that wide angle you can use to get the inside of the cathedral all in. There is a little bit of distortion but that is to be expected and most software can adjust for that with the lens adjustment profiles. Overall a good lens for those occasional shots you want that are wide.

The EF-S 10–18mm f/4.5–5.6 IS STM lens combines optical excellence with cutting-edge performance, providing an ultra-wide angle of view in a compact, portable package, perfect for EOS cameras with an APS-C sensor. It has a 4 group optical zoom system and includes a large-diameter element, an aspherical lens element, a UD lens element and enhanced lens coatings for high-contrast, high-resolution images with minimal glare and aberration. A circular, 7-blade aperture helps ensure fine background blur and the Canon Optical Image Stabilizer system provides up to four equivalent stops of shake correction. The lens has a stepping motor (STM) and a refined focus mechanism for smooth and continuous AF during video recording. It also has a rear focusing system, plus a high speed CPU and improved AF algorithm for high-speed AF; and offers full-time manual focus for quick adjustments. The EF-S 10–18mm f/4.5–5.6 IS STM delivers reliable, speedy and quiet wide-angle performance, making it an ideal lens for everyday photography, travel, stills and video recording.

I have wanted a wide angle lens for years, and have even rented the Canon 10-22 before. I wasn't ever quite needy enough to spend the $500+, but this came along and the reviews looked great. So, I picked it up. I'm quite happy with it. It's sharp, small, and light. While it's missing some things on the more expensive one like the metal mount, for casual use this is great. A lot of reviews recommend this over the 10-22 at twice the price.

I bought this for my Wife and she has been enjoying it nonstop since. Clear pictures even when the weather is bad, hot, or cold. She loves the angle of view on it. She did a group photo with her sisters and their families and could get everybody in, (about 20-30 people). All without them having to squish themselves together and it was still pretty close so you could see everybody clearly.

This lens was everything I wanted and more! I have been itching to get a wide angle lens for some time and after doing some research I landed on this one. 10-18mm is perfect, really. Closer to 10 mm gives the characteristic distortion wide angle lens are known to have and then 18 mm is the same as any basic 18-55 mm lens which isn't distorted. Great flexibility in that sense if you are changing type of shots quickly and don't have time to change lenses. Seriously very happy with the lens. Good quality as well.

Have enjoyed this lens and am pleased with my purchase. Purchased for my 7D mkii. Was looking for another wide angle landscape lens so I didn't have to keep switching my 17-40mm in the field between cameras. Was looking for a reasonably priced alternative for my crop sensor camera. Is this the sharpest Canon Lens made - no. Will most non-professional landscape photographers be happy with this lenses performace - I believe so. It's light, reasonably priced, and takes good pictures. I am satisfied with my purchase.

A great value for a very versatile lens. I've used this on some outdoor landscapes and some architectural shoots (interiors and exteriors) using the ultra-wide end. I'm getting great images and fantastic color. Next I'm saving up for the EFS 55-250mm telephoto lens - Best Buy has that one for $250. Maybe I'll get that when it goes on sale!

I love to take landscape photos but my family often asks me to take photos of events and parties so I had been using a 50mm 1.4 lens for a while but had a hard time getting everyone in frame for group shots. I wanted a flexible lens that allowed me to take great landscape photos but also would be good for capturing group photos. This lens does both very well! It's also fantastic for night sky photos as well! It's very light weight and pretty quiet!

I use this lens for real estate photography. It is essential for opening up those interior spaces, and allows me to show entire buildings from any viewpoint. No distortion, fast enough, light and with the IS feature, I can use slower shutter speeds without fear of blur. If you need an ultra wide angle lens this is the one for you. Half the price of the old 11-20, and better
