Customers are saying

Customers highly value the EF-S24mm F2.8 STM Standard Prime Lens for its outstanding image quality, wide angle, and compact size. The reasonable price and lightweight design also contribute to its appeal. However, some customers have noted concerns regarding the focusing noise and compatibility issues with certain EOS bodies.

This is an excellent lens. The price is affordable and the photo results are very sharp. I purchased two of these lenses, since I was very happy with the photo results. I used one of them for my Canon DSLR camera, and another one for my Sony Nex mirrorless camera (Of course you will need to buy a Canon EF to Sony Nex adapter).

The Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM is a fantastic all-around lens for APS-C Canon cameras. I am using it in my full frame camera, still its good.

This is a fantastic lens. I've had it for a couple of months now and I've been thoroughly pleased with it. The build quality is superb and the image quality is quite top notch, nice and sharp. The low-profile makes it great for carrying around and pulling out for fast shots. I've been using this lens primarily for video projects but have been taking loads of pictures as well. My only con is the the manual focusing on it; it's a "focus by wire" which has a light lag to it, I'd prefer a mechanical focus but it's not been a deal-breaker for me. I really love how this lens performs and wholly recommend picking it up.

I love this little lens and I'm mad I waited so long to by it. Everything that is in the description about this lens holds true. The motor is very quiet, which is great for video recording or situations where need to be quiet. The pictures I take with them come out great. I also love the fact that it small. It doesnt take up a lot of space in my camera bag. This is a must have videographers and photographers.

Having a crop sensor DSLR camera means dealing with the dreadful crop factor. I bought a 50mm prime lens that was effectively an 80mm on my Rebel T6 so wanted something wider for portraits. This is an excellent quality lens that has such a small frame, can probably fit a shirt pocket :) Stepper motor helps with a quiet operation. Loving it so far.

I absolutely love shooting with this lens. It is light weight and easily carried. Great depth of field, and way less "stepping back" compared to my 50mm. Its fun, and easy to shoot anything with. Great for close ups. I've really been enjoying it.

Fantasic little lens. VERY sharp! Great Value! This is a great lens to leave on your camera for those quick indoor shots of kids, or outdoor nature shots. I was worried it wan't going to be wide enough as I've the 60 MM macro which is a little too long sometimes. But this is nice and wide. Not as wide as the kit 18-55 of course, but it doesn't seem much narrower in use.

Bought this specifically for landscape and astrophotography and it did not disappoint! Even as a novice first timer with astrophotography was able to get some cool shots of a comet and the Andromeda galaxy. Paired it with a Rebel SL3.

I love how light and small this lens is. This a good everyday carry around lens. I like it a little better then the 40mm stem lens. The colors are very nice from a 70D.
