This is totally worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens is a great addition to my kit! It pairs well with the 50mm I have as well. It is very great option if you’re looking for something that isn’t very heavy. Great product for the money! Absolutely no regrets with this purchase!

Great starter pancake lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A nifty pancake lens that won't break the bank yet will provide acceptable quality images. If you're looking for a prime to throw in your bag, you won't be upset with this 24. Provides a nice wide field of view for group shots or close-up landscapes and will blur the background nicely.

Canon EFS 24mm lens
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this heavily with a Canon 20D body and it produces some amazing photos in low light. Because the f-stop is so low, it works great in natural light and need little sun to work with. The unit only works on later Canon EF SLRs and EFS models. The lens will not work on a Canon 10D or earlier.

Great lens
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have been waiting for this lens to go on sale and when it finally did I bought it. I will be using this with my Canon 70D and M50 with adapter. The lens is compact, light weight and has a metal flange which should last long. Images produced are sharp and the f/2.8 will be beneficial in low light situations.

Great lens
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Canon EF-s 24mm f/2.8 STM is a tiny and super-sharp normal to wide lens for Canon's APS-C cameras. It makes an excellent replacement for any 18-55mm zoom, saving size and weight and adding a fast f/2.8 speed for use in dim light and making your viewfinder brighter. It's tiny, and has fantastic performance.

Great lens!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens is great for street, using on a gimbal, or just as a compact way to keep a lens on your camera at all times. Image quality is well above acceptable and can easily be said to be amazing at this price point. So small and easy to have available at any time.. this and a 40mm pancake will get you through many situations. Worth having in your bag for sure.

Great for traveling!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A must have for beginners! It was a tough decision not to get this but this lens brought me to places. Small as a pancake, its tack sharp but be aware that using it for video is a little raggedy. Nonetheless, it’s very nice to when traveling.

Good one
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not professional in photography, but I had purchased this lens after reading numerous positive reviews on BB. mainly I want to get the lens for low light, since it was fitting the budget so went for this. But after one day of day and night use, this had become a regular lens and I did not use the one comes with kit. Although it was purchased only for night phots, but since it was taking good crispy photos at day time as well, so I never bothered to change it. All In all, it is good I tried most of the time in auto mode with auto focus and worked good except at few time when picture was blury (but that was because of me not paying attention to light source) good entry level lens. Thanks Canon for this product that fits the pocket and camera for daily use.

Great lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this lens because of it's small size/weight and the crispness of a prime. I am beyond happy with it. It lets me take a rather wide angle photo, letting me fit more people in a group photos even though I don't have the room to back up. Great close focusing, too. Has become my go-to walk around lens.

Great lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Canon - EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Standard Lens for Canon APS-C Cameras is a great lens to use for wide angles and low light situations. I recommend using an off camera flash or an LCD light if needing a lower ISO for quality. But overall, this lens works great for capturing larger scenes.

Best bang for the buck!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 2.8 aperture gives great bokeh in videos and photos for an amazing price. The clarity is also amazing but over time the focusing gets kind of loud and the clarity does lose some sharpness but still great for the money

Great inexpensive lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this lens to couple with my 50mm 1.8. Needed low aperture to shoot in low light situations and wanted something wider than 50mm. This was the perfect amount of both worlds. Highly recommend. Also the stm motor is completely silent with my 70d autofocus system. Great lightweight walk around lens for video.

Great little lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have another lens that can do this, but having a specialized lens that lets me get up close and personal makes it so much easier to capture small things in big detail. Good price, excellent little lens.

I liked it a lot
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works really well for landscapes and group photos, it is very lightweight. Definitely recommend this one and the equally affordable 50mm STM lens as good prime lenses for Canon! I'm new to photography and having a lot of fun using both of them on a Canon EOS Rebel T7.

Excellent lens for the price!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I adore this lens. I've been working with a 50mm f/1.8 STM for a few months now (which I've absolutely loved) and wanted to add a new, wider angle prime lens to my kit. The wider angle of this 24mm lens captures so much more of the scene than my 50mm lens. I was shocked when I first compared the two lenses (my DSLR has a crop sensor, in case that helps). While standing in the same place, I was able to capture someone's shoulders/head in a photo with my 50mm lens, vs. their entire body with the 24mm lens--this depends upon how the person is positioned/etc., but that was my first comparison of these lenses, and immediately I was glad I'd bought this. This lens is fast and it produces sharp, beautiful pictures. Especially for the price, this lens is a great new addition to my collection. I'm really glad that I purchased it!

Tiny EF-S Wonder
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own the EF 40mm 2.8 STM but having recently purchased a Rebel SL1, I thought that this lens would be a perfect match to such a tiny body, and it certainly is. Granted, it does not "look" as small on the SL1 as the 40mm pancake does on my 6D, but it is such a tiny and light combo, it is very easy to carry all day. The 1.6x crop factor results in a very similar focal length of around 38mm. And just like its EF sibling, this is a sharp lens with decent construction. A bit stiff to mount but I'm sure that will get better over time. The focus-by-wire is a bit weird but it gets the job done. The extra speed of an f/2.8 always comes handy indoors. I always try to avoid flash pictures when possible, especially when the flash is mounted on the camera. Overall, I'm very pleased with this great and very affordable lens.
