    I owned two of this lens. I tried both on two different cameras, on tripod and IS on or off. My two copies unfortunately couldn’t produce any decent pictures. As soon as you zoom onto something on your picture you can see nothing is in focus. I had this problem with objects about 25 feet away from me. If you can afford to spend more money buy the canon EF70-300 IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens. I know it is $250 more but that makes the different between useless and being happy with your lens. I would NOT recommend the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Telephoto Zoom Lens to anybody!

    It's a solid lens, but very difficult to use when shooting a moving object. For that, you need a wide angle lens.
