    I was looking for a lens one step longer than my 70 to 300mm. This is it. I've used it for bird watching with a tripod. Camera and lens together are only 5 pounds. Simple to use. Satisfying results. I got very helpful advice from your Best Buy salesman on this, too. Thank you.

    I just upgraded from my 70-200 2.8 IS USM Mrk ii. It worked great and reached out longer distance. I tried to take picture of the birds, the result is tack sharp. I love it so much now.

    This lens focuses very close giving you an almost macro type of result. The image stabilization is like nothing else. Best money I have spent.

    This has become my go-to telephoto lens and has served very nicely as a macro lens in a pinch because of its very close near-focus capability. Tack-sharp and with the latest Canon IS tech, it's totally reliable in any focus mode under just about any shooting circumstance. Love it.

    I cannot think of a purchase that I have ever had so much enjoyment learning to use, using, and getting the most AMAZING results from. This lens ROCKS. I take this everywhere and shoot photos I never ever thought I could take. JUST amazing. Take a leap of faith and buy this.

    Coupled with the 7D Mark II this lens is fantastic for birding. It was a little soft at the ends out of the box but nothing a little MFA couldn't take care of. Once I did that it performs like a champ.
