It is a great lens - good focusing - sharp images, easy to handle.

It's a great super zoom for daylight only shooting. The faster telephotos are prime lenses and cost considerably more. This lens will be used occasionally when the 70x200 f/2.8 does not properly fill the frame.

I went from a Sigma 500mm to this lens, and even though I don't get as close to the subject, the quality of the photos is amazing, and totally worth it! I would say however, it would be nice if they made the lens compatible with their own teleconverters with respect to being able to use the autofocus, pretty much the only thing that I'd improve upon.

This lens by far has catapulted my photography to the next level. The ability to shoot sports with this lens, weddings, wildlife, you name it this lens is a workhorse and will provide you with the ability to reach out in your shots! This lens is worth EVERY penny!

An excellent quality lens of L series by Canon! 400mm gives a much better range for zooming in over the 300 max kit lens! On a lens, that price is consistent across retailers. The fast shipment and reliability of Best Buy made this purchase an easy pick.

Brilliant lens!! Absolutely no question that this is one of the best lens for bird/wildlife photography and can be used by beginners to professionals.

This is by far my favorite lens out of the 10 I own. Good range, well built, and the image stabilization is amazing. I don't even bother using it on my other lenses, but on this model, it works so well I use it all the time when not shooting with a tripod.

I gave the L-Series EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS II USM Super Telephoto Lens for Canon cameras to my son for his birthday. He is an excellent amateur photographer and is delighted to have such a professional quality lens. It was expensive but I think well worth the cost.

What a difference.. Ive heard horror stories of the old version and I have found nothing wrong with this new version. Great photos!

The new 100-400mm IS f/4.5-5.6L ver 2 is one heck of a piece of kit! If your into wildlife or action photography / video this lens will let you get right up close an personal from a good distance while providing that dreamy bokeh backgrounds and amazing resolution when cropping images!

This is a great lens. It is well built. It works well with both the Canon 7DII and 6D. I have used it for bird photography, general photography and out door track. The images it helps capture are great.

I have the Tamron 150-600 lens for Canon. That being said I have struggled getting sharp in focus pictures at the upper ranges. It seems to be a common problem with the lens. Reviews of the canon 100-400 have stated it produces much sharper images even when enlarged, it does. It's a great lens.

There are many reviews on this new release of Canon lens (the IS II). If it doesn't have the II, it is the old version. Tested it out at the zoo, and the photos were amazing-the detail that you could see in the animals was breathtaking. A hefty investment, but well worth it. National Geo worthy!

This has been a great addition to my lenses. It gives me the ability to reach out and get that closer photo while still being back some distance. It works great on all three of my cameras and when used on a crop sensor body gives even more zoom in capability.

I bought this lens for bird and wildlife photography. So far I have only been able to use it in the back yard but am impressed with it. Can't wait to get away from the house and put it to use!

Wow! What a lens! Could not be happier with the quality of photos I have take since I purchased this kens. Tack sharp and great features.

I needed this lense to shoot distance objects and it did not disappoint. I photographed some dancers on stage at a music hall and with only the stage lit, the images were great. I was located on a second level.

I purchased this lens to take on a whale watching trip out of Seward, it performed well and the results for a first time using were great, the image stabiliser worked well when hand held

I wanted to upgrade my telephoto lens and asked my brother, who’s a photojournalist for Reuter’s. He recommended this lens. It’s no small investment for me, however, Best Buy offered 24 months interest free. So I have it and love it!

Finally jumped to this and it's absolutely fantastic. The detail is just fantastic and my pictures jumped to another level. Just take time and play with it, you will not be disappointed. The only con is the price.
