Bought this lens to replace my 16-35mm f/2.8 II lens. It's sharper, lighter and has image stabilization. Dust and water resistance is also a plus.

It works wonderfully! Super easy to use and does the job well. My only complaint is that it's expensive, especially with the warranty. Other than that, I love. I use it for real estate photography so

It’s a pretty solid lens for the money, and was a better buy than the RF 14-35mm for my particular use case. It seems to work flawlessly on the EOS R5 through an EF-RF adapter, and also works well on my EF mount film camera. The autofocus is quick and accurate, but the only real downside is that you will be able to hear the autofocus motor if you’re recording a video. Other than that one detail, it’s great quality and easy to use.

I purchased this lens mainly for video, with light picture taking being done. the image quality is absolutely amazing. The Imagine Stability is Steller and is a soft auto focus, "not jerky like the kit lens." For photos and video you get a great blurry background and the subject is totally crisp. Anyone thinking you need the f2.8 instead of f4 I was on the fence as well, and glad I saved the money and got the f4. Great lens would defiantly purchase again.
