Customers are saying

Customers commend the EF35mm F2 IS USM Wide-Angle Lens for its excellent image quality, often comparing it favorably to other lenses. Its wide-angle capabilities are also frequently praised for their versatility in various photography situations, from landscapes to portraits. Many appreciate its performance in low light and find it a great everyday lens. While some find the price a bit high, the lens's overall positive attributes outweigh this concern for many users.

As the saying goes, "Everyone needs a fifty." This is a wonderful substitute for the much more costly version Canon sells.

I wanted a portrait lens for APS-C sensor camera(80D). So I went for 50mm 1.8 lens but the lens acts as 80mm with 2.88f due to the crop factor of APS-C sensor. After doing some research, I went for the 35mm lens. This is just perfect for me. It works like a 50mm on my 80D body. The picture is sharp and the built quality is far better than both 50mm 1.4f and 1.8f.

I have been shooting DSLR's for close to 10 years now. Over that time I have collected most of the L primes; 35, 50, 85, 135. I recently upgraded to the 5D Mark IV and found it's video AF to be so good, I have started using the camera for video more. But every video was a little shaky. So on a bit of a whim, I purchased the 35 f/2 IS. I do have to say up front that 35mm is my preferred focal length. That said, this thing is sharper than the 35L (version 1) and the IS makes it outstanding for video. Not sure why this lens doesn't have a red ring around it, but I would highly recommend it for any Canon shooter!

A perfect mid size lens for my full frame Canon 6D. This will be my go to lens from now on. I also love the smaller F stop.

This lens has become my go to for low light wide angle full frame. I use this with a 6DII and a 77D. For the price it’s sharp when stopped down to F2.8. Also since it’s wide you have to get close for bokeh but that’s what wide angles do. This lens stays in my camera bag! Great walking around prime!

This is one of my walk around lens and I like the images that I get with it. It was purchased to replace my previous canon 35mm lens which is no longer produced and had now been paired with my older camera. Good bokeh, clean shots and nicely hand held shots.

This is my go to lens for my business. I use this more than my L's. Once my daughter decided to start her own photography business I knew that I had to get this lens for her. She is just as happy with it.

I strongly debated between this lens and the Sigma 35mm. After reading reviews I opted to save the money and purchase the Canon 35 F2 with zero regrets. The colors SOOC are awesome, the IS is so useful in low light situations for optimal use of slower shutter speed. It's now on my camera body 75% of the time.

Excellent lens but little pricey for it's specification. There are other lens like sigma 35mm or sigma 18-35mm f1.4 with same price and better quality. I ay buy it again if price is down in $500 range.

A very good lens for street photography with F2 faster aperture. This enables you to capture streets during night time when streets come alive. I would highly recommend this lens.
